  1. hi Gordon what rpm do you see 1 bar and then fall boost ? are they similar to -5's or less lag, on standard engine or do they need cams...... cheers Richard

  4. good to see some interest ..... yeah its good bunch of people up there, lots of different types of cars and varying levels of experience.. they have instuctors etc and the guys that know what they are doing, I have found to be very helpfull ....Its held every month, nomally last thursday of every month..... and its good to see most of the fastest cars are Skylines ( GTR's )
  5. not sure if everyone on here is aware of the No Limits track nights. Its held on the short track under lights, you get heaps of laps and heaps of fun.. They tape a lap timer to your car and noramlly ( when there is enough numbers ) there is a screen with live lap times ( leader board ) so you can see how your going..you also get a print out of your times at the end of the night, it not uncommon to do 30-35 timed laps in an evening, with each time you out you do 1 warm up lap , 3 timed laps and 1 cooldown lap, so bang for buck its great value.. Anyway these events are stuggling for numbers, and it would be a shame if they stopping them due to lack of support.. check the ( No Limits ) website for info, its easy to join, would be good to see more Skylines out there.... forgot to say this is at Barbagallos
  6. ok well this isn't going help anyone........... got car back from shop today , all they did was put new plugs in gapped to 0.065mm took for drive , car didn't miss so problem fixed... the other plugs where new gapped to .08mm ( couple were closer to .085mm ) as before..heat range 6.. Questions ,,, does anyone else with RB26 running 18psi have to run such a small gap, thoughts on plug gaps,,,,,,,,,,,?????
  7. thanks mad took the mechanic for a spin this morning and it missed ( hooray ) he said definately a miss not fuel.. So back in on monday to go through ignition system ( especially ignitor & crank angle sensor ) he's already checked gaps, plugs, coils..........
  8. this is getting really annoying, its been missing as above for nearly two months except this morning when I went to the workshop it didn't miss a beat, they checked the odvious stuff again eg spark plug , coils etc took for a hard drive and it never missed once so they though what else can we check this is fine,, then I pick car up and 30 minutes later its missing again, as above ???? I'm not convinced its a spark problem anymore, ( I'm starting to question everything ), now I'm worried it could be fuel which could be dangerous ...... what to look for, any easy thing to check.............fuel pump maybe what do I do, short of just start replacing stufff like injectors, fuel pump , regulator etc and there is still the crank angle sensor?? nothing worse than an intermitent problem got an event in a couple of weeks, need to get this sorted...............................
  9. yeah Sheriff they are NGK .8mm same as before, typo in first post... 18psi yes rb26's have external ignitor, and have quizzed the guys at my local workshop who say if it was that it would more than likely miss right through the rev range and under load , eg 3rd & 4th on the gas ..it doesn't only 1st & 2nd above 5000rpm when reving up fast.. they think probibly crank angle sensor............I have it booked in tomorrow so hopefully they will get to the bottom of this and I will post up the result cheers guys stand by

  11. thanks how do I check apart from looking and listening, & wouldn't a leak just reduce the boost I see on my boost gauge or evc -- still sees 18psi as before ??
  12. car started to miss, mainly above 5000 rpm in first and second. So I put in some new spark plugs same as last ones NPK coppers 0.8mm from memory. It has split fire coil packs which are less than a year old....Still missing quite badly especially above 5000rpm in first.... from trawling heaps of threads on here I've read, people talking about "crank angle sensors " ....and it beening the cause of their car missing..............does my problem sound like it could have anything to do with the crank angle sensor...... a little bit of extra info on mods done :: dejetro pfc---so no afm's can't think of anything else that could be related, any help or words of wisdom would be appreciated

  17. ok so how much for turbo's ?? still keen........... Hey Will sell the motor minus the hks turbo's and manifolds for $7k Have just recieved all my part for my new engine so putting it together and putting it in my 34 gtr so no need for the standard motor. cheers

  21. this may be obvious to some due to the turbo- non turbo factor. but why is it I'm told by tuners etc that oil temp around or above 120 degrees is time to start easing off and cooling down, even with top of the range motul.. I know couple of guys with ford F6, and 6.2 maloo, that run at up to 120-130 with normal driving and up to 150 when given a bit, and hsv dealer said up to 150 is fine... whats the diff

  24. Certainly not criticizing your instructions, couldn't have done the job without them as the unit doesn't come with any how to.... If I get time I might add some to your instruction tread.. cheers
  25. ok job done ...not exactly straight forward with those instructions and wiring diagram..firstly on all the paper work including the wiring diagram they refer to the G-sensor and then on the wiring table it starts talking about an Accelerometer ???? I asume that is is G-sensor ( if I'm wrong I've fkd it ) and also if you tap into the drivers side of the g-sensor plug (as these are wires the wiring diagram describes) then the Lateral G signal from G-sensor & lateral G signal out to computer-- are the wrong way round !!!! anyway that was my experience ...... good luck to anyone having a go.... still haven't had a reply from mountainrunner, so I just took a punt and did it the way I thought made sense.. will test it out the track next week
