  1. Hi, Was needing a bit of advice on installing the above items...... I lack a bit in experience with car electrics, so a coupla questions 1. Have decided to install the HKS EVC 3 myself, what the best soource wires for the ignition power wire and location for earth to be attached to? Not too good with the soldering in confined places (up under dash) so is just twist and taping enough? Anyone used the splice connectors?? 2. The S-AFC I may try to install, does anyone have any experiences or recommendations?? its the older 5 dial type 3. Finally, anyone recommend anywhere to get the SAFC maybe installed but mainly tuned on a dyno, and how much? Thanks in advance Will
  2. Hi, Ive actually done it in 2 ways. My first time I received a letter from customs instructing me that I had to pay the duty. They recommended a broker to complete the work.... I rang around a few places, and it was going to cost me about as I recall $60-$80 for it to be done, but they would deliver directly to me. I ended up actually going personally to the customs pick up, which is out west sumwhere (cant remember exactly, but I think Parramatta way) had to pay them the duty, GST, and another small fee. I had another time, where it was sent from US via (the boys in brown) can remember the couriers name USPS maybe, but the guys that advertised on TV. As it was couriered to me, not posted, I had to pay them the brokerage fee and other duties. Will
  3. From what i understand the rear pods, are actually the bit of side skirt that is actually in 'front' of the rear wheels. The 'pod' is only on the N1 nismo 3 piece skirts, and is the chunky bit similar to on normal GTst skirts as pictured above. The standard GTR run straight through and are about 1.5inchs, like the skirting under the door, and are a 2 piece set. I am keen if it the 3 piece nismo style, although if they could be modified to be a thicker along the whole skirt, as the GTR's never look at low on the body kit on the sides as the GTST kit does.... hmmmm hope this makes sense????
  4. Hi, As u may have seen my other post, my bonnet lip was ripped off my car last night.... Has anyone got an R32 GTR Nismo N1 lip original?? Pm me please Will
  5. Some B@#tards stole my lip from my car last night. Had it parked at my fiance's house and drove home during the night. when I came down to my garage this morning, some w#$ker had ripped it off the front. Most annoying thing is that it was original, and bolted onto the bonnet, not stuck like some aftermarket ones. Dont know if it was for fun, or if sum1 knew what it was, but now it would be pretty much useless with the threads ripped out..... Its gets really annoying when there are idiots around who do this. The part would be useless to them unless they had a r32 gtr bonnet, and its damaged anyway.... Ive never seen one driving in the area, so more likely just kids..... some of them got caught a few weeks ago, standing at the top of the hill (its a dead end st on a hill) after they pushed a shopping trolley down the hill and watch it bounce of the cars on the way down..... Anyway, Just thought id let some steam out... will p.s If anyone has a R32 Gtr N1 lip lying around, I am keen to try and find another to replace it
  6. by the way, didnt think there was a 1995 r32 gtr, wasnt 1994 the last for r32's will
  7. It seemed to have more points of tune, ie 11 over 8 on the SAFC. Plus its HKS, which I prefer as a brand name.... pretty shallow, but true.... Anyway the deal fell through, so maybe Ill change my mind and go the SAFC, seems to be alot more around, and SAFC are tried and tested
  8. Sorry guys, I forgot, Ive mentioned my 2 r32 GTST Guards and RH indicator in another post, but I also have .....a LH one (LH has slight crack, 1cm from bottom left, bout 1cm long, cannot notice unless viewed close) Please pm me any offers. Thanks Will
  9. Anyone had a problem with the power window switch on the door on passenger side, r32 gtst? Was wondering if it can be removed without removing door panel. on that note, does the door panel have any of those annoying clips that most cars have. Dont wanna remove it and not be able to get it clipped back fully, if I break or those clips pop off. Will
  10. anyone know if the R32 has same function, as the mirror defoggers?? Will
  11. Just another point, make sure u dont put too high watt in. I put 100w bulbs in and they ended frying the holder as well as the wiring. Use only the 55W Will
  12. Well, I remember reading bout it ages ago on SDU, but I have this problem. Dont know how long for, but there was a sh*t load of water. I had noticed a musky smell in my boot lately, and noticed that the rear along the edge, and on the left of my boot liner was wet alot. I assumed that the water was getting in the boot sumhow. LAst week was cleaning the boot, and hought Id hava look at the tool in the rear quarter panel. well they were submerged in water, and rusted. Fortunately the jack was Ok as it made of a different metal. The rear left guard was about as deep as from the tip of my fingers, to partly up my forearm. The wet on the boot liner along the back, looks like it must have been the water that leeked, when I was on a hill. Well, Ive solved it, had to remove the rear guard skirt, but just drilled a hole in the bottom and it came pooring out. Did the right too, but only a drop of water. Anyway, just thought id let u guys know, and mayb u could check ure too Will
  13. Hey, Ive got the HKS super sequential, and used to do the same thing... had the idle raised slightly, also a HKS idle line stabiliser was installed, which slows the drop to idle down. Other I find is to keep air con on, as it keeps the idle higher Will
  14. mate, sorry to hear tha news!!!! Maybe its the plate?? Some people can get pretty weird about those sorta things!!
  15. How bout just R32 Thats straight to the point!!! At time couldve got SKYLNE or SKYLIN (that was 2years ago), but R32 fits better!! Will
  16. HI, If you are using moulds from original guards, and fitting to gtst just a few tips. I actually put original guards, bar, bonnet etc on my gtst. huuuge job. You will also need gtr indicators, as gtst are different shape, bout $250 each. Also GTR guard liners, bout $200 from nissan. Gtst side skirts wont fit, so will need new skirts. Regards Will p.s Are you doing moulds for gtr side skirts, cos due to above problem, I would be interested. N1 style with rear pod
  17. Yeah on the r32 gtr they are from the N1 kit. Ive got em for my GTst which has original GTR bar, theyr bout 350 each side from nissan, but fortuantely I got em original for 250 together. They go with the N1 lip on the bonnet, N1 rear pod on side skirt, and the lip on the boot lid under the spoiler. Mainly purley a look thing Regards Will
  18. Well mate, I can tell u a bit, cos I did a conversion last year. The guards cost me bout $700-$800 each from Nissan, directly ordered. Because they are the same as the aussie delivered model, R32, dont believe them if they try and charge you freight from Japan when u order them. It wasnt until I had started that I realised that you will also need new guard liners, which I think were $150 each. New GTR indicators to fit the guards are bout $350 a side, again very hard, basically impossible to find second hand. Im a still trying to work on the side skirts, as due to the flared guard the originals would not fit. I did the front bar and bonnet and grill all original too, so fortunately it all fitted ok. Another extra cost was the need for spacers for the original wheels as the guards add bout 22mm to each side, so I had to buy 2 sets of those till i found a decent fit. So be prepared to spend $$$$$$$$$$$$$ on it. Someone reckons mine is only one he knows who have done the whole front end, and I now know why Good lUCk Will
  19. I like the idea of the .com sticker as well, something a little low key, with the plain text, so if we dont wanna the full on graphics we can go for that style. Just my 2 cents Will
