Features a built in boost guage, peak boost display, four different boost settings, boost warning, scramble boost anda boost limiter safety feature to prevent over boosting. Complete with bright blue vacum lead which i must note looks cool. features a single solenoid that diverts pressure away from the turbo actuator to achieve higher boost. This solenoid is linked to a smart control unit installed inside the car, which allows you to adjust the boost pressure manually. The control unit has four programmable channels, each of which can be programmed with an individual boost setting to suit driving conditions or styles. For example, if it’s wet and you’re struggling around town to get traction, then you can select a channel you’ve set up with low boost. Alternatively if you’re taking part in a track day and want maximum speed, then you can select a channel with high boost for maximum power. Another key feature of the SBC Spec S is a programmable boost limiter, which when activated prevents possible engine damage caused by the turbo(s) over boosting. You also have the option to enter a boost warning level, when this level is reached the control unit will alert you by beeping and changing the LCD background colour to Red. pics at:

  8. so i should look for a plate somewhere between exhaust and inlet ends saying the flange type, will it be as obvious as t25/t3? is there any other way of telling? i guess i have to go back now and speak to everyone in the store until i get a definite answer. thanks guys
  9. can somebody tell me whether the attached pic of a hks 2535 is 1, indeed hks. noticed some have hks imbossed on them 2, the flange type, is it t3, t25 or what? i must note im not a total dumbass, ive played with std turbos before but nothing this cool yet. info would be fantastic, just came across it here in japan and sales clerk didnt speak much english. also what are people paying for them back home these days?
  10. hey thanks for the input, having a great time scouting out these places. if it werent for this forum i wouldnt have had half the things to see that i do now. way to go!
  11. hey guys, made it to my old mans place (who is away with work) here in hiroo, tokyo. long story but shit, to those who have never been here dont carry 6 months of crap/snowboards/winterclothing etc... through the subway when you have no idea where your going. armed with 3 numbers (nobody mentioned they didnt name streets) i found an international school and worked the aussie charm with some yankees lasses who helped me find the house. counting my blessings. well, looking at the game plan for the next week and looking to those in the know for tips. my bro reckons the upgarage at Minami Machida is cool, is this one alright or is there better. reason i ask is that 9 usd to get there one-way i dont want to visit more than i have to. is that the going rate, 900 odd yen to chiba etc.. from shibuya/hiroo area? wasnt expecting that but hey... wasnt expecting alot and having had my dad and bro here for years i thought i knew more than the avg joe. also going to do the crystal/top secret garage thing one day, from chiba-kita ill guess i can find ts, then ask those boys armed with a option mag whish direction crystal is. arent they sick of foreigners dropping in though? then there is redpark and nismo omori, which is cooler and are any worth the trip out there to be honest as im guessing its like 20usd just getting there before getting etc....? anyone else know anything actually worth seeing/highlight as a day trip from tokyo? trying to plan wisely considering transport is so expensive. is it worth getting the oldmans wife to drive me anywhere or is train just as easy? oh and how far is tskuba from shibuya roughly in hours/km? i know im asking alot but just getting anything hey. thanks again boys,
  12. thanks guys, everyone keeps telling me how hard it is to get around, guess its starting to sink in but i wont comprehend it till i arrive. im staying with my old man and his wife over there, he has a car with sat nav where you put in the phone number to direct you. though im told it takes forever to get anywhere and costs a fortune in tolls. guess ill just see how i go and post some pics of my adventure for those of you in my boat now.

hey pure, noticed your thing said your from boulder. ive spent the past three winters living/riding here in colorado. here right now. know any cool car related meeting spots in denver area and times? im australian though.
  15. hey, im heading over to hiroo, in tokyo for a about a month in late april/may and amped to see some of things ive seen in magazines in videos for years. thing is i speak very little japanese and will be pretty much limited to public transport and maybe the occasional rental car. my bro spent months there and found only an upgarage and a couple of performance car yards so i understand its not easy. So if anybody could give me any directions/tips on where to go, how to get there etc... even if just a point in the right direction id be stoked. im keen to find some tuning shops, second hand/new parts stores, muesums, tracks, meets whatever... but definetly: -the redpark nissan muesum place -crystal/upgarage shops. -any tips/help on getting to tskuba or any other tracks -top secret workshop -any other workshops -any tips/details of meets in the tokyo/yokohama area -auction yards or anywhere near tokyo to buy used cars - plus anything of interest anybody knows will travel at least a day to get anywhere half cool, time isnt really an issue. also anything that isnt car related would be cool to mention. thanks in advance for any input, cant wait to get over there and any advise i can get from peoples experiences would make my trip so much better. over and out, steve.
  16. hey nick, do you reckon you could give some sort of directions to crystal, top secret or any other cool places like that. visiting my dad on my way home in april for a month or so and serioulsy keen to scope these places. thanks mate, steveo.
  17. Just finished my conversion and now having dramas with clutch. Had the master cylinder re-sleeved and scraped the box between master and operating cylinder. Now my clutch pedal only has pressure for the bottom half when depressed. The lever that operates the throwout/thrust/whatever bearing pushes the operating cylinder back too much. When i hold the lever back toward the rear of the car the operating cylinder pushes all the way and the clutch works perfectly. Pressure all the way. Now i have to work out how to fix this. Is it a prob with the operating cylinder letting the lever push it and retracting too far? which im guessing is the spring? Or is it a prob with the lever moving too far back. Ive tried bleeding with pedal in and out and everything so near certain not a bleeding prob. Also have been assured that the box i scrapped does nothing but reduce pulsation or something attached are pics of the fins on pressure plate. not the best but do these look a little straight?
  18. Just a q for those in the know, is this typical condition for the GTR coolers going around? No offence to to EVL R33, just curious.
  19. fair enough, good point. Its just a means of comparison to other fuel pumps available. Bosch etc... all rate their pumps the same way.
  20. yeh these are intank pumps, as for flow check out the attached graph. remember 1gallon is 4.5ish litres.
