  1. Hey - I too am looking to head down as a spectator Thurs and Fri. What is the deal with spectating at the event? Recognising the road closures, do you simply drive out on the course and stake out a spot prior to the closure? If we are staying in Launceston do we need a rental car to access the good viewing points? What are the top viewing points on those days? Going with my old man who lives overseas so both a scenic and exciting spot is what I am after. Thanks
  2. I'm not sure of the model, V Power or something? its just an entry level one. Happy to give it to anyone who takes something - gear isn't at my place so want to limit the number of times I have to meet somebody out there. Belconnen area.

Call anytime on 0410 378 429 o2 sensors - brand new NTK items bought from kudosmotosport. x2 sensors, front and rear paid $300, looking for $200. correct your tune and stop your cut running excessively rich. GTR Fuel Pump $150, operating well, swapped for nismo option. suit s13 or most 4 cylinder turbos Timing Belt - Genuine Nissan for RB26DETT. Brand New. Also have tension spring replacement i'll thow in for free. $90 Waterpump - Genuine Nissan for RB26DETT. Brand New $110 Alpine Amp - 4 channel. Can't remember the RMS, though sounds good. $50 Sealant - take a brand new tube of great quality sealant for free if you buy both the belt and pump. Buy any of these items and you are welcome to take SR20DET head, including rocker cover for free. Or a sony sub and box.
  4. Owned the car for a while now - noticed it hasn't got the 100,000km timing belt sticker though. Upon buying the car the bloke told me it had been done it Japan. Decided I would change it anyway, though now that I have pulled the cover off it looks to be in good condition. Can see the marker line and the cogs look fine - don't resemble the wear sign drawings in the workshop manual. Also noticed there is a bit of gasket glue around the waterpump. Based on this info is it reasonable to conclude the belt has already been replaced? I'm not looking forward to getting that crank bolt off (what size socket is it by the way?) and lining up the new belt having never done it before. Are there any other belt wear indicators I haven't mentioned that I should look out for?
  5. yeh i've used them in sydney. very good service, specifically ask for compression readings.
  6. Hi everyone, my name is Steve. Been a member a while, though tend to read more than i post. I'm keen on tagging along to this event, sounds fun. Drive a maroon BNR32, pic attached. Hope to see you all Sunday at Commonwealth Park.
  7. thanks for you input guys, probably the sensible thinking I needed to hear.
  8. For a while now I have wanted to drive around Aust and see the outback. I am now sussing out the idea of taking a month off and making it happen. Unfortunately the GTR isn't up to the task so I was thinking of buying a late model STI or EVO and selling it after the trip. This raises the issue of finding 98 octane fuel and leads me to my questions. 1. How available is 98 octane fuel in the outback, looking to visit all the obvious places in NT as well as Broome area and a bit of WA. 2. Is it feasible/safe to load a few tanks of 98 unleaded in the back seat/boot to extend the range. 3. Are the STI/EVO as suitable as I seem to think they are? Just two passangers on the trip. 4. How feasible is it to have a car like this retuned specifically for 95 octane fuel?
  9. , they are basically the same dimensions as the R33 GTR rims, will fill the guards of a 180sx no worries. Look fantastic, especially with the slightly stretched tyres fitted.

  11. Hey guys, I'm a diehard cats fan that doesn't read his mail, missed out on his shot for members tickets and is now desperate for some tickets. If you come across any be sure to let me know! need of just the one, but willing to take more if sold in set. Pending on the seats, willing to pay big dollars, $400 to $1000 a ticket. Not willing to go as far the $1700 corporate day style options at this stage. Steve Green 0410 378 429 backup 0419 202 871 Thanks in advance!
  12. Yeh great shots Anthony! I'm stoked with that shot you got of me, good on ya!
  13. I don't have a helmet guys. Anyone know a good spot in Canberra to grab one? Been reading the past helmet posts and am thinking of lashing out and getting one of the open face arai or sparco ones, know anyone that discounts these below retail?
  14. Previous owner over tightened the sump plug. Now I can not tighten it. It simply tightens then loosens, tightens then loosens. Never more than just beyond finger tight. I tried wrapping it in teflon tape / plumbers tape but that only stopped the leak, hasn't allowed me to tighten it properly. Now, can i get it re tapped to a larger thread? It is an bnr32 so removing the sump is really out of the question. Assuming it is possible, should i be fearful of metal shards making their way into my sump? Finally, do i need to see an engine builder or can most mechanics conduct this operation?
  15. Now that the generation that appreciates the BNR32 the most are starting to earn higher salaries, demand for stock standard examples is definitely on the increase. I believe prices bottomed at $20,000 and are on the increase. This is a big call, but because of it's godzilla status and heritage I think in 3 years clean examples will be worth mid to high 20's and roughly the same price as the R33 GTR.
  16. mate i have the same rims in 17x9, white. Have tyres too. In Canberra though can send to Melbourne. Have pics also. Call me on 0410378429 if interested.
  17. Chasing the surround for the DIN slots/guages on a BNR32. If you have one in good condition with clips on the back call me on 0410378429 and we can sort something out. Call anytime.
  18. if anyone has the kit installed locally i'd love to know how fitting was and where.
  19. Have an earls remote oil filter, just bought a just jap sandwich plate for my sensors, can i just stick this on top of my remote oil filter or must i remove it and put the new plate on the block?
  20. ABS and 4WD light are now staying on from startup. Attessa box in the boot flashes 18/19 times at startup. Began after installing guages/cd player amongst other things. This problem seems quite common from my searches, though no solutions. Checked all fuses. code 18/19 is ETS i believe, what is this? Is ETS Attessa? Where is the circuit, motor and sensor?
