  1. Congratulations! 2.45pm eh? Was it at WCH? Chances are Tracy would have been in the threatre for the delivery if at WCH.
  2. Apexi AFC The first one with the dials before the SAFC, II and Neo stuff Good for minor adjustments. Not wanted anymore. $75 I paid $100 and never used it. PM me. First with cash wins! Located in Adelaide. Will post at buyers expense.

  4. A worthy quote right there ^^^ Hell, while you're there, why not!
  5. Where are you located for the pickup? That would help.
  6. Awesome pics there Martin
  7. It was a Kneescrapers day ... practice before the Sunday race day. There was no announcement or written notice that undertaking wasn't permitted during practice. No one (undertaking) got any warning from the officials, not even after the crash. The intent was there to undertake safely, but the gap closed very quick and I reacted too late.
  8. Nah ... at the end of the day, we are both equally at fault for it. He was a racer also, not just an over-enthusiastic street rider, so be both know the risks. I could have waited for a better passing opportunity, he could have picked a better line thru the turn. Too many variables to start shifting blame. He came off worse than I did, so I didn't have the heart to ask him 'why he hogged the entry into the turn', when I could have just as well waited a little longer. Everyone has bad days as well as good days. Saturday was just one of those bad days. Fix bike, heal, move on.
  9. Yeah. Quite obvious. His leg copped 140kg of bike and 80kg rider slamming into him. He was not game enough to take his boots off. His hand was badly bruised and on ice for the rest of the day. Like me, he wanted to finish his riding before seeking medical help I felt no impact and no injuries at all except for my fingers. Shows the benefit of good money on good protective gear. The LHS arm section of my full leathers shows where we hit, as does my glove also. I leaned my body into the contact before the bike. Hard to explain, but it protects against having the bars or levers hit which unsettles the bike, and helps keep you upright longer in a chance to save it after impact ... if you're lucky. Dropped in on Tracy at the hospital before going out with mates to the pub, just to put her mind at rest that I was still in one piece and still up and about. She's banned me from racing or track days 2 months before our wedding
  10. A slower rider cut in on my line into turn 5, when i was going much faster than him. Slammed into him as he turned into my path. Both bikes and riders went into the dirt. Pretty lucky actually. Could have been worse. Bore down on him thru turn 4. His bike tops out at 160 and mine was doing 190 and closing the gap fast. He was slower and way over to the left, so I saw my opening to get past before the turn. Before the northern hairpin he dipped into the turn early (too early) and closed that gap I was aiming for. I was already committed and couldn't change my line to avoid him at all. Grabbed the anchors, but the back wheel shot up in the air and I almost went over the bars. Backed off the brakes and hit him pretty hard still. He was doing about 40 into the turn, when I can enter it at about 80. Hand got crushed between his bike and mine. Impact was enough to smash the fairing and bend the handle bar into the tank. I still did another session after that after quick fixing the bike ... but the bike developed mechanical problems (we put down to the impact of the crash) and had to retire in the next session. But not before I ran consistent 1m23 times on a bike I hadn't ridden in 2 years (I was running 1m27s then). So apart from the accident, I am happy with the timing results. Bike ran excellent, kudos to my mate for doing the base settings all round. I just need to repair the damage and I'm ready for racing next season.
  11. Yoicks! Powertools are evil. My pinky and middle finger are bruised, but I can move them. My second finger got pretty crushed in the impact ... its purple and black all over. Was as thick as my thumb yesterday, but most of the swelling has gone down now. Its just numb constantly now ... no pain, unless I bump it or try bending at the knuckles. The fracture is between the knuckle and finger nail, so there's nothing that can be done to it, apart from keeping it out of harms way. The gloves are brilliant and offer maximum protection (same stuff as what the MotoGP boys wear), but the tips of the fingers are still only covered in leather only. At 80kph it isn't going to be 100% protection anyway.
  12. Here is what colliding with another motorbike at 80kph can do to your hand: Spending $350 on gloves pays off. Could have been alot worse ... a broken hand/wrist instead of broken and bruised fingers. Working/typing one handed sucks
  13. Sebel on North Terrace will make her heart flutter. Cross the road later to the Casino to catch a band depending on the night. And Sebel is not as expensive as you'd think it was. Bombay Bicycle Club has a nice atmosphere too.
  14. Yeah keen for it bud. I'll get back to you for sure on that. Currently licking my wounds from the track day at Lala. 3rd session I collided with another bike at turn 5 and we both ended up in the dirt. Bike has a fair bit of cosmetic damage. Crushed my hand and broken a finger. Bruising is looking pretty awesome now Time for painkillers and beer!
  15. Hi ho, hi ho, its off to lala I go!
  16. Yep ... half the power, and half the wheels, half the number of cylinders ... double the balls!
  17. I've only got 60hp now ... but can still lap faster than the KE or Pug Incidentally ... Anyone got a trailer I can borrow for tomorrow?
  18. Noice! Wanna have the flexibility for music, movies and play games
  19. Question: how would you power a games console (say Xbox) in a car hooked up to a DVD head unit? I take it there is some adapter? Never thought about it until now. And 'yes' I'm thinking of putting my Xbox into the Stagea EDIT: Never mind ... think I just found my answer
  20. Two R33 4 door autos with over 180K kms have recently sold for over $10K. Grab a bargain! White not your colour ... then paint it. Don't like the rims ... put on your own with the coin you're saving. If not sold in the next month I'll start preparing a list to part it.
  21. Is this still for sale????????
  22. Thats a bit cruel to be pitching cats at a batter isn't it?
  23. Prob not. Last one had small numbers. I gotta have an early night anyway
  24. What? No one cooks their dinners? I know where Matty's coming from. Hey Matty, I might know this Ryan cop, wouldn't happen to have a brother named Aaron? PM me and I can give you a last name. Haven't seen these guys in years ... oh the trouble we got into
