  1. Penny, I've got an RB25 pump in my garage, new and unused, still wrapped in plastic. My waterpump checked out okay when I did my cam belt, so I never fitted it. There if you're interested. Sorry for stealing clientele Ben
  2. Just got informed by my better half (Tracy) that some possible schools kids on a bus, travelling the opposite direction to her, threw a rock at her car and has busted the windshield. All happened so fast for her, so she's a little shaken and unclear. But she said she noticed the school kids on the bus, then BANG! Stupid stupid kids. Farking pissed off now. Grrr! Yes, we get a free windscreen on our cover ... but thats not the point. I wanna teach them some manners and lessons in safety
  3. Well my regular tag-along hoon (a regular wanker in traffic who, when he sees me, feels the need to tailgate and wanna race me) has changed his plates and is stupid enough to think I'll fall for it. Wanker in a Falcon AA235H has now changed his plates to DL1988 ... and tried to follow me to work, thinking I wouldn't know better. Dumbass. I led him in and out of suburban streets until he grew tired of it and floored it and took off. Made eye contact as we passed, and made sure he knew I knew it was him who I dobbed to police. Wanker!
  4. See if somehow a camera can get plates of cars driving by. If you see the car again and can get the plate number, you can make a pre-emptive strike and give it to the cops and report it on suspicion of a planned car theft ... as opposed to suspicion of defect Or just do what I did when a slow moving car did the same thing and returned one night ... stand out front with a big fu(k-off stick!
  5. Is this still for sale? Whats the ratio on it ... 1:1.1?
  6. Go SHT. I'll be booking in shortly to have my Stagea tuned now I've sorted the fueling problem.
  7. Car is auto and located in Adelaide, SA.
  8. While on the topic of electrics ... who's got a timing light I can borrow? I think someone offered the use of one previously, but I never took the offer (been so damn busy!) Tried fixing my old one, but it just won't work. I bought it 6 or so years ago for $30 ... the same timing light is for sale now for $60! Also, found the fueling problem with the Stagea. Fitted the stock FPR in last night and its running better.
  9. If you can get the long (straw-type) nozzle of some WD40 to the waterpump, there is a hole in it for lubrication, squirt some in (with the engine off of course), start car and see if the noise subsides. If it does, add in some handy oil if you can get some in that tight spot (use a straw etc). If the noise returns ... then its time for another water pump. I had a waterpump die on my silver RS4. Started off as noise (bearings) then eventually started leaking thru the seals on the shaft. While waiting for a new pump to come via post, the small leak turned into a total pump failure.
  10. Bump ... still for sale ... now reduced to under $9K!!! Seen R33s going for $9K-$10K with 180K+ kms on the clock. Car drives great.
  11. Shoot down to my place and I'll take a peek under the bonnet for you. Perhaps waterpump?
  12. +1 I had mine inspected before I flew to Sydney to pick her up. She was a genuine 32,000kms then, and a genuine 62,000kms now.
  13. I'd be more than happy to sleep in the back of the Stag ... but convincing the missus to do the same isn't so easy
  14. Someone buy my R33 Skyline so I can get these
  15. Scum ... absolute scum. Hope you get your car sorted with minimal fuss.
  16. Is the Loxton hotel booked out? And what are the prices? I'll need to revisit sorting out accommodation for 3 ... and sort out the Stag for the long drive.
  17. I had HiTech fit it for me Andrew. Haven't had a thorough look at it yet (only adjustments). Might get some time tonight to thoroughly check it. When John fitted it, I had the boost wound down to stock (10 to 7psi) fitted the sotck air box and took it all back to stock settings just to be safe for the dyno day until I could get a full tune at 10psi. Only the car was grossly underpowered on the day. And I've been chasing the problem since. All I know is what the FPR gauge tells me. The pressure hits about 60psi on start up with a whinning noise (odd sound, hard to describe) which it never made before (when John Keen fitted it), and after 10-15 seconds the noise stops and the pressure drops to 25-30 psi. No matter how much I adjust it (only time I've touched it since John fitted it), it won't go above 30psi. I've been taking note of amount of turns from John's setting. Its running so poorly, I'm scared to drive it the distance to John's. Willall is my closest, but no one can help me on Saturdays (I work 8-5). I just want a stock FPR to rule this out as being the problem. I'm also going to clean the AFM and O2 sensor. Got my A/F ratio meter today ... should have this fitted by the weekend. Then I'll know how bad it is.
  18. Can't find mine ... still looking.
  19. Thats because its a 31 Jokes!
  20. +1 You've committed 2 offences on your probationary period. You'll be losing your license unfortunately.
  21. I was once questioned thoroughly at an RBT about the cable for my GPS (which was not in the car at the time). The cop noticed the mount and cable and was almost certain it was a piggy back ecu or boost controller. After I showed him the (power) cable ran to the cigarette lighter he didn't push it further.
  22. Just check your local Messenger, there are sometimes free safety inspection promotions being run. Places like Profix or Midas from time to time run free inspections.
  23. Welcome aboard Steve and Luke The dinner sounds like a great opportunity to formally introduce yourselves and get a good old steak/schnitzel into ya belly. Unfortunately, I will be in Victoria for work that Friday night, so I cannot attend. I look forward, though, to reading/hearing about it upon my return.
  24. Yes, you heard right ... that was plural On behalf of the Skylines Australia - South Australian Chapter car club, I would like to thank those who put their names forward for nomination for the position of Events Coordinator. The unsuccessful nominees have been notified and thanked for their response. We would like to congratulate, thank for taking the opportunity, and welcome our new Event Coordinators ... Steve (Madaz) and Luke (Heslo) It was a no-brainer ... they are popular SAUers, work well together with past events as evidence of their teamwork, they are long term members of SAU with a wide knowledge in key areas, and (more importantly) they've shown their passion and enthusiasm to their love of Skylines. Welcome aboard fellas!
  25. Thank you to all those who nominated. Applications are now closed and a formal decision will be advised later today on SAU.
