I don't think you could be fussy. In Adelaide, when a business relocates or closes, they generally remove any infrastructure/services they have in place (including phone system + internet access, and any furniture such as desks) You may have to organise suitable premises, and then organise desks/services in advance before tenanting the premises.

I'm sure pumps are not ment to whistle? If it helps at all, I upgraded my pump this week ... so I have a 60,000km old Stagea pump available in total working order. Ruby

If there is a blockage, the car won't run ... simple. Plus the fact the 040 is a noisy pump. Only an idiot would keep wanting to crank the car over, ignoring the noise of the straining fuel pump.

Is that enough? I've built many project cars (and project bikes) with upgraded fuel systems and I've never seen a valve like this before. Never had a problem with any "blockages" in the past.

Worked out its a relief valve in case of blockage in the line. It does appear mine is faulty ... been having problems getting the FPR set right. Now I know why. I'll remove it and finish fitting my 040 tomorrow.

Sorry for waking up an old thread, but if you're fitting a 040 pump how much do you fuel-proof the wiring to the pump? Are the rubber boots enough. I notice the stock pump has the plugs, but no real protection against the fuel. ?

Changing pumps in my Stagea. Does anyone know exactly what this "valve" purpose is? It looks to be 'incomplete' or damaged? Pic: Okay, the pic is a bit blurry, but its the best I can do this time of night. Its right off the pump. I'm now fitting a Bosch pump and need to know if I can just get rid of this "valve"? Anyone?

Got some top news from a good mate ... Just got off the phone to a mate of mine (engineer/guru/mad scientist) who is throwing some cash my way to get me back into racing on 250cc bikes!!! How cool is that. He's a pommy Einstein with bikes and use to race proddies (250cc) in the UK. He's taking delivery of my race bike this weekend and setting it up for the Mallala circuit over the next couple of weeks. This might also include a strenthened bottom end, race exhaust system, and rejetting. Excited much? Problem is ... I'm working in Victoria (Phillip Island) for the V8 Supercars and MotoGP over the next few months ... so I can't be there to help set it up. So its kinda handy he's helping out in a big way But he's a skinny runt at 70kg and I'm 85kg! My first session on it might be early December. Racing season starts February 2010. Not really much time when you think about it. ... now where's that mountain bike?
