  1. ^^^ Krishy got owned!!! I hate vegemite too and I drive an import (not a holden) ... so I'm just following thru with being un-Australian
  2. Morning Penny! Iced Coffee???
  3. Howie, Scott doesn't have a high enough post count for PMs. I've PMed you his details. Ruby
  4. Heads up guys ... Andrew, you mentioned the other day your front plate was missing without your knowledge. I've been given a heads up that number plates for import cars are being targeted by hoons. I'm told plates are being nicked purely for servo runners, unregistered cars, and general hoon behaviour. If you can get a hold of safety screws or any other kind of secure fixings I recommend you do so.
  5. I have an array of sockets/bits for safety screws (about 30?). Which one do you need?
  6. I drove past two car units on the port expressway last night. Both times they just watched me roll past. Didn't see any cameras or equipment attached. I get the feeling the have someone specific in mind.
  7. Where did you hear that? UniSA run its pilots courses there, as do other schools. They would always need the arispace to divert small aircraft to as a secondary runway if an emergency ever occurs at Adelaide Airport. Plus there are numerous light commercial aircraft still using that site privately. If it ever was up for sale, it would be bought up as an Airpark, similar to what is going on down at Goolwa.
  8. I came up with one at the meeting last night ... but it was a little too late for the t-shirts they've got organised. "Rann snooze ... you lose!"
  9. Spotted a silver 32 GTR on the way to work this morning on West Tce, South Tce and Glen Osmond Rd. Nice clean example you have there bud.
  10. I've been told that by people from SAPOL also. They're doing their best contacting committee members/leaders of car clubs and expressing this statement. SAPOL are aware that the trouble makers in jap cars are individuals and not members of legitimate import car clubs. I had a call from Neil Hastie yesterday. Inspector Newitt will be caling me sometime this week to arrange a meeting between SAPOL and Shane and myself. We will be raising this discussion with them.
  11. Good to meet you Scott. I'll be there ... and I'll be spreading the word also.
  12. I have been in contact with certain senior members of HT/NS. Wow ... first Rann unites the bikies to fight against him ... now the import car clubs are uniting to fight against him
  13. Don't go counting your eggs just yet. This is just another battle ... not necessarily the end of the war. Jess, I've given Scott a call and he's happy for me to attend this meeting tonight. He's going to put forward their plan to get the Govt's attention that there are investors ready to go with re-opening AIR ... and the Consortium would also like to hear from representatives of some import clubs. I'm happy to give him my input. There may be a slower but more stable way to tackle this ... as I work in the planning industry and there are ways to get your message up the channels. Wherever I can help I will. I'll post up tomorrow a summary of what was discussed and what is planned.
  14. Jess, when and where is this pre-protest meeting? I might have some free time. In any case, I thought there was the meeting about it at Shannons yesterday? For a quicker reply, please call me on 0449 928 227. Ruby
  15. How long would that take? And what would the cost be? Interested in doing something 'different' So they're claiming approx 5,900 motorists ran those lights? Thats approx 16 cars per day? I call BS. Also, think of the number of emergency vehicles (fire/ambos) that contantly run those lights, being a major link to the south and south-west.
  16. Just got off the phone to Neil Hastie from SAPOL. A meeting is being organised between himself and Inspector Philip Newitt (the guy running Operation Diagonal), myself, and Shane to discuss improving the image of legitmate car clubs such as SAU:SA. Neil has assured me that recent events have not dampened their aim to work with clubs to improve the image of imports. They are aware that labelling all imports the same (as the media is doing) is counter-productive and casues more problems than it solves. They are aware ACC and RCK are the problem areas, and even the S15 incident on the weekend was non-car club related. I will provide a summary of the outcome of the meeting in due course. Until then, please refrain from doing anything stupid
  17. Shopping around online, but can't find: air diversion plate for grille-radiator for Stagea cold air panel for pod filter for Stagea Anyone know of a shop, person or sheetmetal mob who has or can make them for a Stagea? Might just make a template up using cardboard if thats how everyone else has done it.
  18. Update:
  19. No, no, no ... not as bad as that. I'm just going to commit an armed robbery.
  20. Decided to upgrade all the belts on my Stagea. Got a complete set of Gates belts coming: timing belt, water pump, ps pump, alternator. Guess what I'm doing next weekend?
  21. Most of Adelaide still has its 'Rann issue' blinkers on.
  22. Its not just taxis and commercial truck drivers ... there is no real "mould" for a hoon. Could be a 16yo in a Corolla or a 50yo in a Landcruiser! Last night I had a 4WD cock attempt to run me into a traffic light while I had my 10yo lad with me. His attitude had obviously been fuelled by the import flaming from the media. Pulled up behind him at the South Rd/Seacombe Rd lights and he put the 4WD into reverse threatening to ram me! f**king hoon! Had I hit the traffic light, I'm certain the media would have made the story read something like: Nissan Import in Late Night Rampage Last night, a high-powered turbo Nissan caused mayhem and carnage, when it lost control due to speed on South Road, Darlington. Mothers ducked for cover with their screaming children as debris from the violent collision was thrown for metres from the impact. Nearby service stations were put on emergency alert, fearing the impact would start a fire, threating the local community. The two occupants of the high-powered vehicle, a 36yo male driver and his 10yo son were lucky to survive such a horrific crash. The vehicle, a high-powered Nissan Stagea turbo, is believed to have or not have lost control when it tried to drag race a Ford 4WD on this dangerous stretch of suburban road. It is also alleged that the 36yo owner of the vehicle was drunk, and had in fact allowed his 10yo son to drive the high-powered import when the drag race occured, as the son had only smoked cannibas earlier that night. When the Advertiser arrived on the scene, it is believed the male driver and his son may or may not have been in possession of drugs, pirate DVDs, and stolen goods. A witness to the collision who didn't want to be named said: "At least the owners are showing their support for the car crushing, by crushing their own cars!". Police refused to comment about allegations the car had in fact been rammed off the road by a hoon in a Ford 4WD. Why let the truth get in the way of a good story? Hmm, I have a gift ... I should write for the Advertiser!!!
  23. I found my old ZX7R awkward to ride. Felt too much like an old RGV in the riding position ... be a nightmare for Tangles to ride. The ZX9R is far more 'balanced' in its handling and performance. Rode my mate's ZX9R a few weeks back when I tuned his suspension and didn't mind the 9 much. But then again, any bike with carbs will feel sluggish ... throw on a set of flat slides
  24. LOL ... yep!
  25. Try this link. Its for a 34, but if you browse thru it, you might find what you're looking for. http://www.scribd.com/doc/5332929/Nissan-S...-Manual-English
