I had some 595 evo's on mine a while back. They were a really good tyre. Pretty sure the SS is more of a street legal semi slick yes?

My tuner seems completely comfortable with tuning the boost up to 14psi on my beloved r33 provided its being managed by a good electronic boost controller. Reckons he's done tonnes of RB25s with 14 odd psi and acknowledges that while it's up on the limits of what the turbo can achieve, it will be relatively safe. I'm a little hesitant.

You've put on that hi-flow ric? Do you have the PFC running also? What have you done to yours lately and what is it running?

I thought maybe PowerFC and a good tune, or perhaps a Toshi remap? If possible I would rather keep the stock turbo as is.

Yes, however i'm a bit wary that they are rather fragile and would be worried about breakage during transit. If you're keen however I can wrap them up really good with bubble wrap or the like and with a bit of luck they will make it in one piece. I wouldn't imagine postage would exceed $!5, so they're yours for $85 is you like.

Apparently you can coat them in this spray shit. I'll dig up the details for you in a second. I'm gonna give it a whirl tomorrow, apparently this stuff does a pretty decent job.

I'll be doing the same thing man. I've got a nasty hesitation / splutter at 4k onwards. Gonna give the coils a coat of silicone until I get some more work and can get some newies. Aaah, the joys.
