i was about to say boost leak, then you said, reconnecting the battery fixed it temporarily, which is odd, so ur ecu must be relearning its environment over again which is why it seems fixed temporarily, if u disconnect the battery again over night, does it feel good again afterwords? then go back to flat?

after changing my S1 afm to an S2 and changing to splitfire coilpacks, my problems are gone im just amaized that something broke during the intercooler piping switch, and plug change :S awell, all is fixed hooray

it does sound like an afm problem, but im assuming youve checked there plugged in properly...

i think its raw fuel, unburnt, but i could be wrong, ill check the canister, but all the hoses were connected, will check for cracks etc tomoro.

hey all, i replaced my coilpacks with some splitfires along with a s2 afm (i have a s1) and wired it up correctly, and now i have a strong fuel smell in the cabin after giving the car a small squirt, nothing major, maybe just to 5k rpm or so, and the cabin smells alot like fuel after words, and also smells slightly of fuel when driving normal (not sure if its just the aftermath of giving the car a squirt) would it be in the combustion process thats causing this stench? my plugs are gapped to .8mm, would the gap be to small for splitfires? im thinking that all the fuel isnt igniting properly? any help is apreaciated thanks edit: forgot to ad, the car runs smoothly and dosent "feel" rich

i hafd a look for heatwrap at ab, and they charge 60 bucks for the same thing, how did u get it for 20?

you should heat wrap that pipe to mate, not only because of the heat on the firewall etc, but the SS looks completely shithouse once the heat goes through, i had a SS exact same one as urs and it looked crap after the heat went through it over about a month or a few weeks, so when i got my one for my latest skyline i got mild steel, so it dosent look so bad speaking of heat wrap, where can i get some?

why is everyone saying my setup is only venting the LHS valley cover? i have both valleys connected to one hose, then to the catch can, is this correct? both my valleys are going to the catch can correctly?

ok will do so does the timing light say as a figure what degree its out? and how do you connect them to the plug if it has coilpacks? they are completely enclosed :S

ok, i guess ill give it a try. if say its off by 3 degrees, how do i know which way to turn the cas to correct it? im assuming just so the bolts are center of the holes?

hey all, i want to check my CAS timing, and have no idea how to, nor do i have the tools, does anyone in the SE have the tools and know what to do? and know your shit regarding them? as they can be fatal if not done correctly! cheers

hey all, just deciding on what to purchase as i need new coilpacks, there is someone on these forums selling some 2nd hand splitfires with 15k kms on them for around the same price as a set of new yellow jackets, i cant decide what would be best, brand neweys that arnt as good as splitfires or 2nd handys that are better than YJs but there 2nd hand... what you guys think?
