seems as though my audio has moved to the front 2 speakers... so i was trying to get to the screen today where you can adjust where the sound comes from and i cant figure out how to get to the screen. i have had it up before when i first got the car but i cant find it now. the translation book needs some sort of ladder diagram so people can see what screen leads to what. if you could help me Ben, that would be great

ok guys, quick question, i got a cable for my ipod to plug into the AV inputs behind the center console, only problem is that the music only comes through the left and right front speakers, where as when i have a cd in it comes through all the speakers. have any of you guys tried using the AV inputs yet?

i wonder if they would drift as smooth as they drive, would stay sideways forever ha ha. would like to convert mine to manual but stuff trying to fit the clutch bits in the engine bay. will wait for the C35's to come in and get one as a daily and convert that to manual, then pimp around in the gloria on the weekends

are you having trouble finding a workshop for the C35 Kristian or were you just saying that its another nice car that will be eligible soon?

here you go Kristian, the fronts have been in for a few days and i just put the rears in so they should settle a bit. will be ok till i get coilovers. the handling is heaps better now, the shocks look to be in excellent condition also got my tinted crystal side indicators so will put them in sometime soon.

i pm'd Beer_Baron and he said he will discuss with the other admins about our own section and get back to me, hopefully we get it. and just for everyone elses reference, the oil filter code is Z436 i put almost 5 litres of oil in and i will check later if its full or needs more/less.

passed pits no problem, he didnt even mention the 20% privacy glass. was done by about 8:30 this morning, all registered and everything. will put in the lowering springs tomorrow, and get the 350z rims back off a mate on saturday. the car is so smooth to drive, floats around a bit because of the soft suspension but the lowered springs will fix that a bit till i get coilovers I'm surprised with the power and the amount of torque, definately brings a smile to my face. when driving it doesnt feel like a huge car, the steering is very light and the brakes are very good. will put some pics up on the weekend lowered with the 19's on and the other rims.

i have the rims now, unfortunately they are 19 x 8.5 +38 all round space them out to fill the guards and they would look good price dropped to $2800

so... i was wondering if we should approach the powers that be about getting a Y34 section like the V35 guys have. since there is no other site with info regarding the whole car (not just the engine), thought it would be an idea to get our own section where we can post information as we find out so that people who need tech info can just go there, instead of wading through SFA on the net. would be easier than creating a whole site dedicated to just the Y34 since there is only a handful of us anyone else think that this is a good idea?

there is a reason that the Xtroid CVT was discontinued after it was only run in 2 models of cars that were released in japan ONLY. If they were so good you would be seeing them in the cimas and fugas. Ben says stay away from CVT, below is his issue with CVT taken from his Y34 thread

that explains it lol, i was just mucking around inside having a look at all the weird and wonderful things with the accessories on. alarm goes in tomorrow or wednesday then its off to get rego on wednesday or thursday depending on when the alarm is installed. tomorrow will be spent trying to get the tint off and taking the writing off the windows, then it will be ready to pass inspection. anyone got any idea how much oil these cars take and what oil filter. the VQ30DE is listed for the maxima, i was wondering if they use the same...

well, she got delivered this morning they look so much better is person than in pictures and its a lot smaller than what i was expecting. i had to go get some fuel so i could actually start it and move it around the driveway. am about to go give it a good clean the car is immaculate, with only one tiny scratch on the rear bar. should look good after a good wash and polish. the japanese lady keeps talking to me so i will be getting the document off Ben to understand what is going on. will get a thread going when i have it rego'd and some good pics

good work Kristian, Ben, i sent you an email about the document my car was supposed to be delivered on thursday so i stayed home from uni and waited all day... and it never came. friday morning i got a call from seaways asking if the car had been delivered, nope, so the lovely lady at seaways rang the transport company and asked them what was going on and asked why i didnt get a call saying it wouldnt be delivered. She rang me back saying that it was being picked up from the depot that day and if it wasnt at my house by 2 to call her back so she could chase it up. Had to go to uni and got a call at 11... it was Patricia again saying that the dickheads had run the car out of fuel and couldnt get it on the truck for delivery and that i have to wait till monday for it to be delivered by a tilt bed truck. she was very apologetic and i know it was out of her hands so i didnt say anything. I know there wasnt much fuel in there, but how far do they really have to drive it, and how hard is it to put a few litres in to get it on the truck. anyways, rant over, these things happen. hopefully it arrives tomorrow (better bloody arrive tomorrow ha ha) i have decided to do some power mods first so that i can truly smash some trevs. heres what my list looks like: VIP list: Lowering - springs on their way for now, coilovers later down the track Rims - 350z 17's for now, 19's around same time as coilovers, gonna do it right the first time Tint - dad has contacts so i can get it cheap, around 14-20% on all windows Bling - Cedric chrome rear number plate garnish will be here soon, will order tinted indicators soon Performance list: Exhaust - will get a Blitz Nur spec R and modify the tip for a more 'VIP' look Boost controller - wont run too much, probably 13psi as the highest to save the turbo Trans cooler - seen one on yahoo that looks pretty good, ideas? Intercooler - not quite sure but will see what i have to do to fit one if i can beat my mates SS then i will be happy and leave it at that

good news, my car will be delivered to my house tomorrow, unfortunately i cant rego it till monday but at least it will be here. i will clean it up and take some more pics. the rims are for sale if anyone is interested. the chrome cedric boot garnish will be arriving shortly along with the lowering springs (how hard are they to install Kristian?). it will also be getting 20% tint all round this is the bit that makes the waiting all worth it, when it finally arrives

good stuff. its arrives at freo on the 6th, then after a few days of processing it will be trucked to my house, so between friday and next tuesday i will have it and hopefully have it registered soon after. im really looking forward to it after giving the all clear for Kristian to sort it out the day befopre Christmas, so its been a long time. Not Kristian's fault though, just the usual importing hold ups like missing the first boat then waiting for 3 weeks at compliance before they could get around to complying it. will be worth the wait though, like usual

have you changed the gear box fluid yet? just read the horror story of what happened to Ben's cedric with the CVT, hope yours doesn't crap itself like his did. your interior is so nice though, almost makes me want to buy a donor car with the series 2 interior and put it into my car

wow that sucks, looks like i will be retrimming in leather then, not buying a late model one later down the track. i hope that the guy took your advice and swapped the fluid. im glad i chose one with the standard auto... good work Kristian
