  1. The circuit car that im driving is a 32 v-spec gtr v-spec, fully built engine and drivetrain with a custom t04z external wastgate/screamer pipe. Puts out 420awkw at 1.5 bar, makes the best sound in the world. I really think you need massive power to make an screamer pipe a worthwhile/credible thing. I havent fully read your thread, but i cant help but thinking your modifying the wrong car. The to4 on the rb26 has a significant amout of lag, starts pulling from 4300 and then rockets from 5 to 9,000rpm in the blink of an eye! Wouldnt have much of a rev range without massive cams and strong internals.
  2. Top idea... Looking forward to bringing the 32 out on a regular basis.
  3. What a good looking car! All the best with it
  4. Sounds like a great day. Looking forward to getting up there on the 10th. Assuming we have some tyres left after the 6th
  5. Im interested to take the 32gtr and Evo out to Morgan park. I also have other mates in Evo's that would be interested. let me know how you go. Cheers
  6. Hey mate, Whats the running list look like? more importantly what is the competition like in gtr street class!?!?
  7. Thats so cheap.. i Will be doing the next General practise @ lakeside on the 10th of Oct after Qr on the 6th. Never been to lakeside so i will have to follow you around and learn the track, thought it would be a good opportunity to find my lines before the next time attack there.
  8. As i write this your probably up there practising Hope you gave scott a run for his money in the 35! Terrific times by the way. What time are you running on sprint @qr?
  9. As stated i need another set of 18's for track work. It must clear 365mm Rotors so 17's are out Car currently has r34 gtr rims so another set of them would be ok Alternatively something wider like a 9.5 or maybe 10.5 Rays TE37's with a decent offset would be good. Not too fussy on brand but would need be good quality and not too ugly with relative low weight factor cheers..
  10. As the ad reads i need some track rims for a 32 gtr. Must be at least 18inch in diameter to clear the Alcons Also must be at least 9 inches wide. [r34 gtr rims would be ok] failing that i would prefer a something with a better offset. Te37's would be great, but as they are a track rim its not that important what they look like. ready to buy now... Cheers
  11. If you like the Sti, go and drive an Evo IX... They do everything that an STi does only lots better... When you push an Sti hard the tend to understeer way too much, even with the tricky diff!
  12. Honestly, I think your better off going to QR on the 6th of october for the Nissan Day! Have you worked out who is going to tow it home!?!? Sorry mate just playing around, i have seen way too many blow up though. Thats why i got an evo for track. i will be driving a 32 GTR on the day though Fingers crossed!!!
  13. What i miss about the GTR which admittedly doesnt help lap times that much, was the power oversteer on exit. This seldom happens on the Evo. I do have to say though the EVO's turn is amazingly good. Its surprising, just with the re-flash the car puts out 190awkw. A good friend just fitted an APC motorsport logic exhaust to his EVo and running the other tune set we all have in the ezy-flash, he made 213awkw. That car is actually very quick, power to weight works in the Evo's favour. As for the gearbox, alot of people that are up over 250awks do opt for the 5 speed rs gearbox over the 6. Having said that there are many 260-300kw cars that have no problems with the 6 speed. I dont see that being an issue! The best part though is the 5 year wty, of which mine has near on 3 years left. So that takes the worry out of any potential issues anyway. Will get some pics soon of the 32.
  14. Hey mate, long time no speak.... I have had the Evo about 5 months now, found one done 19,000klms in WA of all places. Its a blue Performance pack. Have just done a few minor mods. Ezy flash. have a spare set of BBS with Re55's for track and run big neg camber -4 degree front and -2 rear. Having had both i have to say this, the GTR's are more fun to drive, but on the track the Evo's reliability/agility is a massive massive plus. they are such a tough thing. This GTR im driving on the 6th of Oct is in another league though, its trully an amazingly built high hp car. Here are a couple of pics of the Evo though.
  15. Its been a while but im back in a GTR.. Well sort of!! I have an Evo IX which is a brillant reliable track/daily drive, but i did miss the sound of the RB26. Fortunately for me my best friend has just bought arguably one of the best R32 v-spec GTR's in Oz! whats more, he wants me to drive it on the track! to say its quick is an gross understatment! cant wait to let it scare me at QR! Good to be indirectly back!
  16. good luck with the sale buddy, Just as a side note, why didnt you close the bonnet properly for the photo's? Does the bonnet not align properly or was it just too hard to walk back and close it properly? Probably a relevent question for those punters interested.
