  1. Yup, that's right. I gave them the whole set of numbers in that area and they got the info for me. But they seem to get the code form the last set of numbers and letters on the second line. It's probably best to send the whole thing in just to be safe. Sorry, I can't read Japanese
  2. He's right, all the forums for fixing that box are blank. Think about it, isn't it a safer option to use another car? If you break the gearbox on that baby you'll have to buy another one form Japan or another car. Not even insurance can help you if it comes to that.
  3. OK, I feel sorry for all you guys. Am I the only one In Australia who knows how to fix this problem? Here's the deal. Now listen carefully kids cause I've had this done so I now have 2 keys where I had only 1. Nissan AUS is gonna rape you with a $500 price Tag for each key. They have to bring them in from Japan, it's the only way. People talking about removing the comp, it's garbage. You can remove the engine comp, the ignition barrel and the security sytem and it won't do squat. There is another comp in the car that changes the key codes every time you start the car. Now, if you are unlucky like me and didn't get the code, I got in contact with Nissan Japan and they told me how to get it. I have added an attachement with instructions from Nissan Japan on how to get the BCM code. Then email that code to Nissan Japan and they will give you the PIN. Don't bother talking to Nissan Australia about this cause they won't help you and won't talk to Nissan Japan. I know, I tried. Once you have the code, any local Nissan dealer with the CONSULT system will be able to duplicate the key. You will need to bring the originals as well cause they all have to be redone. Sorry about the stabs, but evryone here was making wild guesses rather then trying to solve old mates problem. I couldn't take it anymore. BCM_Nissan_Skyline.pdf
  4. Man, I've been looking too. In QLD your lucky if some of these rednecks even know what a V35 is. You say you own one to some shop owners here and they call you a liar to your face. Maybe it's because I live on the northside of Brisbane. Anyway, I haven't found anything in Brisbane for parts. I think Viva Garage had some stuff from SA but not much. Your just gonna have to ask around the Gold Coast. But when I did up my stereo system I had to buy all my specific V35 parts from Japan. Yea with the dollar low it's costing around 20% more for anything but the prices on samller things are still OK. 1 thing though, when I went around to places to look for upgrades, everyone tags their own profit on the part they get from Japan. I got a Stereo Cradle from Japan for $120, places here in AUS wanted $700. I'de stick to importing it yourself to skip that markup. I'm still looking though. If I find anything worth mentioning I'll be back.
  5. Spotted a V35 sedan outside Narangba station in QLD the other day. Finally, I'm not the only one with a V35 on the northside of Brisbane anymore! But mine's a coupe
  6. Good news! I emailed Nissan Japan back and they said if I could get the BCM number from in the car next to the accelorator pedal they could get me the code! It's under the plastic covers on the back of what looks like a comp for those who need it. I sent them the number and they got me the code! I took the code to a local Nissan dealer and they copied a key for me. Thanks Nissan Japan! Too bad Nissan Australia doesn't help us with stuff like that
  7. My email to Nissan Japan came back today. Unfortunately I have just been informed that the key can only be programmed by a Nissan dealer. Problem is I already went to them and they couldn't do it. I will email Nissan Japan back and inform them of this. But it looks like breaking the code may be the only way. I have heard rumours of people who can do this. Can anyone confirm?
  8. I got a friend in Japan to take my details to a mechanic over there and they said they don't know the engine code type. Looks like Nissan only. If nissan japan has fixed the website, I'll try and give them a call.
  9. Saw a silver V35 on Capalaba QLD last week, driven by an older chick. I don't think she knows what she's driving. I tried to say hi but she ignored me Older bird anyway hehe.
  10. I sure have, they all go umm hmm uh no. Oh well. I tried a few security specialists and electronics specialists too. No luck.
  11. Just a quick update people. I had some friends check out Nissan Australia again. Oddly enough they were told that it was possible. Apparently, two Nissan dealers in Brisbane could do it by liasing with Nissan Japan. But when my friends called them up they said it couldn't be done. That was with Nissan Windsor as I recall. No matter, I have someone over in Japan checking things out for me now. So I'm waiting on that. If or when I find out more, I'll let you all know.
  12. I saw a Silver V35 Coupe parked at a south Brisbane locksmith this morning. I hope he wasn't a after a duplicate key for his car casue he won't find it there
  13. Hey all! I keep seeing a Silver V35 Coupe in Brisbane. On Mary St. Sometimes parked in the Metro 21 Building. Looks pretty clean. Anyone know who owns it?
  14. Yea I checked with the local Nissan Dealers, they said they could do it. But when I went out back to get something out of the car they were all standing around scratching their heads. That was the Nissan Dealer at Kippa Ring if that helps, they had all of the equipment to do it. but they told me they didn't know any of the codes or something. When I asked Nissan Australia they simply said it couldn't be done and that there was no way they could help me because the car was an import. I'll post a pic of the key later buts it looks like a generic Nissan Key to me. I'll have to do that when I get home. Thanks for trying to help out guys, I'll post more information as I get it.
  15. I've been checking things out and it looks like a no go so far. I was talking to some people at East Coast Customs and they said that there is a comp in the car that make random code changes to the chip in the key every time the car is turned on and the key is used. So apparently removing the ECU, the security system and even changing the ignition barrel won't help. They suggested talking to Nissan in Japan. I have some friends over there so I'll get them to ask for me. I heard that a guy on the Gold Coast might have an idea how to do it, Matt Spry is his name. Works at a place called Perfocmance Injection Tuning Service. I'll give him a call too and see what I can find. Looks like no one really knows how it's done this side of the world. So it looks like I'll just have to find out
  16. Hey people. I'm in a bit of a bind here. I own a 6 speed 2003 V35 Coupe. Problem is I only have 1 ignition key. I took it down to the local Nissan dealer and they didn't know what to do. They happily sold me a new key for $500 then went and told me they couldn't program it. Now I'm up a creek if I ever loose this key, and now I've got a $500 paper wieght. Does anyone know how to get a V35 key replicated?
