  1. Chill pill. Take one. This is sounding like a nice cruisey arvo. I won't know if I'm free until the week before, but if I am then I'll make an effort to get down there and meet a few of you guys and girls, I'll bring down some kangaroo meat as well
  2. ^ having read a couple, that made me actually laugh out loud
  3. Hmmm still getting that weird tinny rattling sound coming from the dupm pipe/turbo area. It's still boosting to full (15psi) and still revs out to redline, and drives like normal otherwise, but it almost sounds like there bits of metal rattling around in the bottom of the front pipe on idle. Sorta sounds like it may have done a gasket
  4. Still got? If so, colour and how much?
  5. ^ I kinda saw what you were doing too, but still had to defend the 1J at all costs
  6. Issac, yeah Emo CRKais. They only work in the lowest offset/widest width combo though (so you get the fat concave spokes), so don't stinge on that
  7. cubes I reckon Tim is back on NS as his brand of wheel, but I haven't seen anyone with the same user name post here yet.
  8. So do SRs, and RBs and hell any engine that is given heaps of shit without a decent maintinence schedule.
  9. Yes, join the dark side MUAHAHAHAHAH (even though I don't own any sort of Toyota at the moment )
  10. Yeah I'm thinking it'd be a lot easier to just get a 34 and work with what you know. As said above though ^ a 1J with a decent exhaust is pure aural sex. Hills runs in my old one with straight pipes were bliss. Looks wise, I prefer the 100 in Chaser and Mark II variants. 90 Chasers can look pretty fking cool though. This is a JZX90 Chaser with just a Vertex Lip kit and GTR rims. Fking stylish rig in my eyes
  11. Craig - If your gonna mod the crap out of it, it could go either way. Theres a bit more more shit readily available for the 34 and for cheaper then JZX100 stuff. The 25 would be just as good as the 1J with similar bolt ons, maybe just a *smidge* less torquey. It would probably come down to what car you'd rather be seen driving If Gregs 90 is still available when you're ready to buy, I'd say get that and manual it 1.5J + manual would = shitloads of fun
  12. Well, seeing as my car is a shitbox 32, I rate it pretty poorly But as for a JZX100, I drove a 34 coupe and my old 100 back to back and I can say performance wise they are pretty well on par. Similar power delivery (100 has a bit more bottom-mid) and similar feel when chucking them around (which is pretty good considering the extra weight of the 100). On stock sus, the 100 feels heaps nicer to drive, but has a bit more roll and pitch than a stock sus 34. Coilovers even it up and with sways too, mine was in GTR spec handling territory. I thought the interior of the 34 was a bit boy racerish, where as the 100 has a nice comfy Camry-like interior which is a great place to sit when tootling to and from work. Also seats any mates who want to come for a drive a lot better than a 34. Looks are subjective, but I don't think theres any competition there, 100 all the way In summary, the 100 is something you can enjoy every day in comfort, and still bust hills runs and keep up with most cars. The 34 would be on par in the hills, yet a bit harsher for every day use. Not to mention the cop attention is chalk and cheese, my old 100 had straight pipes and flush fitment and I barely got a second look from cops. You chuck a set of wheels on a Skyline and every cop looks at you with dollar signs in their eyes.
  13. My fkn turbo is making a bulk weird noise. It almost sounds like theres something rattling around in the exhaust housing It was boosting fine when I drove it last night, then when I started it this arvo to move it to the lawn I noticed the sound. I had to turn it off not long after it had seen some decent boosting last night, could that have done something?
  14. Anyone else think they both look like shit too? Can't stand new car design. Whether it's putting massive fk off grill areas (like the 2 above, and Audi is a culprit of this too) or headlights that creep half-way up the bonnet or complicated panel work (looking at you, BMW) theres just something that shits me about new cars. Tasteful and restrained, 2 words that seem to have disappeared out of car designers vocabulary over recent years
  15. Solution for NA noise making goodness. Individual throttle bodies with velocity stacks infront of them and nothing else Ridiculously large cams Proper tuned length extractors and a well sized exhaust lightest flywheel you can get = snappy as fuck, crisp, angry sounding NA, that will still get raped by mildly worked turbos, but sound about a million times better doing it. In all seriousness, I wouldn't bother hey
  16. normal pad edge: |_ Chamfer: \_ Hopefully that explained it properly
  17. Ah the old 'hot car vs financial comfort' debate. I've flirted with selling off my cars and driving a shitter/stocker and enjoying not wasting bulk money on cars, but knowing me I'd be attempting to slide the 'normal' car before too long
  18. LOL Dutchy is my nick name (one of them) I've had nick names since early school, it's weird to have someone actually call me Andrew
  19. Looks like a standard copper NGK part number. Change em regularly and they're better then Iridums for high boost applications. In my case of only 16psi, I just like that they're cheaper
  20. Sweet cheers for that. Noticed it misfiring just slightly on idle and using bulk fuel, probably wouldn't hurt to change em when I do the oil/filter next.
  21. Quick Q: What spark plugs would be recommended for an RB20 with mild mods (33 turbo, boost, cooler, exhaust, remap)?
  22. Which one?
  23. Nah it was a delammed tyre Steve, the strands of rubber were flailing around giving the guard/door a good hiding I got some wash/polish onto it and it cleared 99% of the marks away, I was pretty surprised no cutting needed. While I was there I washed the whole car and it looks fking amazing now, for a trashed drift pig
  24. ^ right on the money, got some wash/polish and cut sick on it and managed to get 99% of the marks off. Theres a few little scratches left behind but it looks a million times less dodgy now so I don't care about those
  25. Yeah delammed tyre. Followed by me driving home through a few 100 kay zones (with the rubber flailing). I ran my hand over it to see if I could rub it off and it did 5/8ths of fk all, but still felt smooth so I don't think it's actually chipped the paint, just marked it. Would a cut and polish help my cause here?
