Took some photos yesterday for a engaged couple. These are their favourite photos from the lot. And Matt, you know shooting into the sun is a big NO NO!!!

Nice shoots sidd - the only that annoys me (for some odd reason it puts me off) is the slant on the table but the flowers are correctly upright in the first photo.

Ragnhild (on the right) was her first time doing something like this. No amount of explaining could get the 'awkwardness' out of her, she just needs more and more practise. They both had lots of fun though (I did too!). I have a few more shots.

Haha, sorry mate, mine is the one on the right. It has a slightly different light over her whole face compared to the original. Also, if you look into her eyes, I made them that little bit more sharper. Something about sharper eyes makes me feel like they are looking at me. I also made her skin a LITTLE bit softer on her forehead and cheeks. You can't see it? Haha poo

Hey Matt I hope you don't mind, but I've ninjad your photo to play around with it. I thought I'd show you a slightly different approach. If you don't want me to do this again, please say so and I won't. A new layer of black in the same shape of her face was thrown over the top, blended and opacity changed appropriately to give a softer looking light over her face. She has really nice skin but some of the areas seem a little more 'bumpy', so I've tried to smooth out those areas a little bit so it isn't as prominent. There is a little bit of this whiteish colour above her right eye, I've tried to dull those white lines a bit. Her eyes have also been sharpened. I was assuming you were going for the model kind of look - so I played around with that in mind. Honestly, I've done hardly anything as it was pretty awesome to begin with. Again, hope I haven't upset you by playing around with your photo. Please let me know if you don't want me to do that again.

Eyes look awesome matt. Did you do a skin retouch on her face? I just feel like there are blotches of smooth skin on her face then normal skin.. could just be me

Hey Jay, I'm 99% sure they are different people mate. The person who posted this is Josh from Adelaide. The above website has said the photographer is in Sydney and is named Clinton. They also don't do automotive. Just an assumption - you could be right, but I don't see a connection.

There are photos from when I am closer of course. I was showing an example of how packed it can be. But you wouldn't be able to get much closer - you would only be able to move in front of those 2 people in front of me. The people in front of those two are all part of the ceremony and have a large roll - and you don't want to be standing in the middle of something highly important, you only get in the way. You can even see people BEHIND the bride and groom there is that many people in that room. They have no where else to be lol. Packed!

Haha, well that goes to show photography has no right or wrongs. I am not a fan of rule of 3rds or avoiding the sun. Sun shots are great. I love centered photos. The photos I love, they would of thrown in the bin. That also means one of my favourite shots Sidd has ever done, (Above) gets thrown into the grinder - It uses sun and and is centered. Were the judges old school? Hey matt, just saw you ALSO have a new website... nice. This one looks much cooler hehe. Just a note about your website, some of the background images are quite bright and I am unable to read the menu items. Change the top menu area to have less opacity and should be right. The comments section for users to type in, is white with white writing - really hard to see. The photos in the blog also exceed the width of the background - Do you know how to auto resize these? Did you make this one yourself (looks like word press?) Otherwise looks good man. Nice work - If you need a hand or anything, you know who to ask

Good write up Sidd. Challenges for weddings - Haha a never ending reply should be seen from this question. I'd say my biggest challenge are people. Everyone seems to never mind walking in the way of a nice shot, even though it is clear, you and your massive camera are looking that way about to take a photo. I've lost a few good moments from inconsiderate people walking in the way. The viet weddings have MANY people in a small area. I've only done viet weddings so far and they have that many people in 1 small room, that some invited guests just wait outside and have a ciggy... Look how packed the place is!
