Hey micko. when you installed the pfc did you notice a big difference in the car? did the midrange improve vastly and did the turbo's spool quicker?

The place rev210 brother works for is great. Only drawback is they are a little expensive but the quality of the workmanship is top notch. I'm giving Dalcos a try (truck drive scraped the top of my rear spoiler at work) cos they are close to work and probably a bit cheaper than the other place, plus someone else recommened them, so I'll let you know how it turned out.

go to a dyno this is what they are best used for, diagnosing problems, checking afr's, checking boost etc.

I just put a bosch 910 in my car. After installing the td06-20g turbo the car with the stock ecu and fuel pump was getting very lean towards the top end of the power curve. The new fuel pump really made a big difference, now the car runs much more richer. So instead of forking out for injectors I'm gonna do the ecu with just a fuel regulator and try and keep the car to around 350-370hp. I'd love to crack 400hp, but if I crack that I think I'm gonna have to crack open the engine and put better internals in. The pump was $220inc gst and fitting was around $125inc gst.

Morning... just washed the car Shame a stupid woman driving a truck yesterday scraped the top of my rear spoiler *sigh* my car is a magnet for people to hit at the moment.

The trust turbo is definately a lot laggier but at 13psi on the stock ecu I'm making 256kw Weird how it makes a lot more power and lower boost... complete different type of turbo.

That is impressive boost spoolup time. 1 bar at under 3000rpm... must have something to do with the exhaust manifold

Yeah my stock ecu is amazing ah well wolf3d soon now I dont have to worry about injectors... might even be next week, hehe... nah, I think I'll wait a bit and let my money pile grow again. Interest on the home loan has gone up a bit since I used some of the money offseting the interest.

Yeah, I'm trying to do everything on a budget. Guess you have to expect some sub-standard results then. But I dont think its that bad, the car is by no means a lag monster or slow.

Well, if it only makes the turbo spoolup like 500rpm quicker for $1k spent in parts and another $xxx spent in labour it probably wont be worth it. Spent enough money on the car as is.

SO when do you think it'll be all ready to go on? You going to put the turbo on yourself or get grant to hook it all up?

Just curious about the sound... havent really heard one. I think for my needs, day to day driven its probably best to have it all plumbed back in, if I was driving my car all day like a sales rep or something I'd have a headache at the end of the day from the noise I reckon.

If a tubular exhaust manifold gets my spoolup time below 4000rpm it might be worth doing. Would make the power more usuable. As it is now you have to drive the car hard to make the boost and that means I'm doing 100+ on 60km/hr streets at times

I want to hear how much difference in noise the wastegate makes... If its not overly loud I can always change my pipes, dont think it'd be too hard But I'm more going for the sleeper kind of look I think... quiet and un-suspecting Hmmm, might call my accountant early next week and see if my tax papers are ready to sign and send off

So you reckon you'll get full boost by 3500rpm?

Paul, I want to change the intercooler pipe that crosses over the engine into the manifold and make up a pipe that goes from the compressor on the turbo to the air pod to polished aluminium any idea's on who can do that for me?

Be good to see when its done. We can compare spoolup figures and hp vs boost. I still think you will need more boost to see simular figures to me
