  1. well if your only running 3" after the cat .. i would run 3" before the cat too ... im running 3" from turbo back, running stainless custom with an xforce muffler.. cost me $1100 including the new cat.. ============ remember hollowing out the cat with induce flames on the overrun etc, and will potentially melt stuff, as well as be very illegal ... big fines and EPA tests etc. up to you on that bit. i say dont do it
  2. hmm well way back i payed $400 for a fit and paint of front bar only if you want the kit, then get it then shop around for places to fit a spray it.
  3. FRP means its made from fibreglass and not plastic . if you like the kit, go for it.. will cost you a bit for the fitting and spray though..
  4. dont think i could do that to my car lol but yeah is very very old lol
  5. if it is boxed and they cannot see it, legally it still must be able to pass the EPA sound emmissions test. so induction noise is covered within that.
  6. descriptions about pinging are correct maybe time for some descripitons on the car .. mods???? running premium fuel?
  7. yeah it does but if you are getting a new exhaust, go for 3.5" atleast wish i knew that 7 months ago
  8. yeah i dont want the oil light and stock guage to not work. hate having guages not work in the dash i think the 2 double adapter things will work fine. cheers
  9. pretty sure that are all 1/8th NPT.. have to measure the guage's sender and see what that is .. the VCT line will be custom so it can be anything i want.. hahah they are really line, just the little sender units from the guage and the std ECU/dash . then the feed
  10. pictures show the A021 unfortunately. i say sell it and buy one from nengun for less, you just have to wait ..
  11. anyone here seen a 3 way adapter that would fit in the oil pressure hole in the block? i need to run the std sender, aftermarket guage sender and the VCT oil feed from here. options are ; to make one up to run a twin adapter then another twin out of that find one that has 3 oulets already.
  12. ahh but remember anything that runs on methanol uses twice as much fuel as normal petrol engines..
  13. there is 2 gaskets with the filters the one with square ends is the one you use. test fit the gasket on the AFM... it will fit then find the 4 of 8 holes in the pod that they line up to. it will fit
  14. ran my car without it for 2 years, no issue with the paint.
  15. oh and its no where near a 13 second 1/4 but they are about 2.8Tonne lol
  16. i was looking at this before, but i wasn't sure if they are diesel or petrol so i stopped looking lol turbo charging a diesel engine is VERY easy, just need more fuel pressure and a turbo thats it really easy get kits for them for around $2500 to $3500 just had this done to our 80 series Landcruiser..
  17. ahh right ... friend is going through the build for an R33, just trying to work out the clearances etc see if there is a way around the mod to the engine mounts or front facing plenum .. cheers
  18. does it hit on the throttle body or the plenum itself? just curious
  19. do you really see a pod system creating a Vacuum enough to implode the surrounding box? if the feed os 80mm or more then you shouldn't see any issue.. plus most people running CAI are running boxes that are far from perfectly sealed anyway.. from the first post, i missed that its made of PVC ... i dont think it'll like the heat too much, plsu how do you propose to join the piping to the funnel etc ..
  20. it has the same concept as an intercooler... turbo heats up the charged air, the cooler it comes in at, the cooler it'll leave, less work for the intercooler .. etc etc
  21. unfortunately not the RB30 build has been delayed. was looking for this thread the other day actually.. now i have fixed up my daily driver, i'll head out and get them. will also depend on what guage sender you have and the thread it has on it. the links above only had the T piece as 1 NPT and 1 BSP.. have to check what thread type the autometer oil pressure sender uses, and i need 3 outlets too 1 for std pressure sender 1 for autometer guage sender 1 for VCT oil feed for rb25 head.
  22. hehehe thats a pretty good trick, only thing is that the bellmouth will be visible and i dont think pvc will cut it.. might look into it anyway
  23. have you got any water in the car? like the heater core leaking? have you tried bleeding the radiator system with the heater on to remove any airlocks?
  24. definately a big difference between locking up on hard braking and sudden braking .. the idea he posted was correct, but lots of variables obviously
  25. i just want the bellmouth thats at the end of the black hose(opposite end to the pod)
