  1. anyone know where to get a cheap bellmouth like in that pic, i know GCG have them, and HKS make them for thiers turbos, but the cost is ridiculous. then make up a custom flexi pipe the std location... i have everything else, just need a bellmouth with a 100mm hole.
  2. bleeding : whould be a nipple on the side of the slave cyl on the side of the gearbox... you need to undo to that a little and have someone press the clutch allowing the fluid to come out a little . then tighten it quickly before releaseing the clutch. then repeat.. prob is an easier way, but this is how i do it lol
  3. hmm try bleeding the system again using the bolt near the plenum... water will only boil if it has air there as well.
  4. by the looks of this, its pretty unclear. but yeah the walkthrough i gave for the rear bar should help if its rear bar.. btw, that topic ended really good LOL
  5. my 2cents keep it at or below 1 bar 14 psi till he gets the power FC then tune it to higher boost, if he is saving for power FC, why waste money on a dyno tune ??? edit , a dyno tune where they cant tune it for that matter
  6. front facing plenum = fixed
  7. id e inclined to use the K&N cleaner and K&N oil to clean their pods dont forget to not saturate the pod with oil, only use light coating , and clean more often
  8. anyone seen issues with the power FC causing long cranking starts due to the dash lights flashing off then on ?? sort of related to the current conversation. i turn mine over, the dash lights switch off, engine still cranking, then about a second later they turn back on and the car starts .. wierd annoying issue.. only happened since install of power FC..
  9. same, they are made by nissan for jump starting.. since the battery is in the boot and behind the panels etc.. next time try a different earthing point on the engine itself.
  10. doesn't any turbo with a larger rear AR ????
  11. thats cool... note that is for the RB26. RB20/30/25 have 2 feeds V's the RB26's single feed.
  12. you can run it from there, but you will see the boost drop off high in the rev range as your intercoolers restriction comes into affect ...
  13. From the tomei website - here are some pics of what happens to the old restrictor and where they are
  14. i had the 100mm hose break on me, so you might wanna look into replacing it anyway.. only took me 20-30 mins to do, but yeah, lose some skin off the old knuckles. you could undo the 10mm bolt that holds the metal pipe onto the head if you want, then have that steel line stretched at the end to create a bead for the hose if you want...
  15. havent seen anything liek this is anything i've read ... will check it out with my mechanic, see if his engineer can give me any info.. im not gonna go ahead with it if i cant...
  16. what boost pressure is it running?
  17. yes, coppers are the BCPR6ES-11 personally if i were you given the age of these cars, run it at 0.8gap to save any hassles.. run fine like that.. NGK etc are recommending the iridium or platinums in there books now too (for parts shops etc) so never mind them
  18. another thing to try is adjusting the TPS a little . bandaid fix though.
  19. you ever have starting up issues? loose connections to the battery terminals can cause issues like this also double check the voltages out of the alternator as well
  20. then it could be an inlet leak from a split vacuum hose or injector seals, you can test for this with a can of degreaser/rp7/WD40/carbi cleaner - if there is a leak, then the spray gets sucked in and the engine revs will rise as it burns that fuel.. give it a try on vacuum hoses, injectors, between the upper and lower sections of the plenum etc etc
  21. 2 feeds from the plenum ... 1 for the EBC, other for the wastegate. EBC on top of WG, plenum feed to side
  22. oh ok, RB25 water feed comes out of the back of the plenum into a rubber hose for about 100mm, then into the steel line you see in the pic from my last post. as it is done there, just use a rubber or braided line onto that and to what ever fitting is on the turbo...
  23. sounds like the atmo BOV over fuel issue to me..
  24. cometic metal gaskets get another vote here ..
