ever since i was in secondary school, i always wanted an r31. my cousin had a white s3 sillo rb30et, inspiration if you will.. i then learnt about the different series (both aus and jpn), and fell in love with series 3 ti. ive always been into my fords (my fav is the xe fairmont ghia, 351 clevo of course ), but the skyline has since then, been in the back of my mind. to date, ive owned 4 r31s, and more recently my r33, and still have my first series 3 ti. i dont think ill ever get rid of it!

haha that is classic! maybe its the abundance of friends lol..

the first day back from work, my s3 silo was stolen. went to the car park, scratched my head and pondered if i had actually left it there or not. then realised it was gone.. called the police, and they kindly asked me to come to the police station, but in the current mood, i accidentally blurted out "oh ok ill just drive there, ohh wait.. my car was stolen!?". they called me 6 months later saying the found it, and that i had to pick it up. when i asked of its state, he said "well, its pretty much a shell", to which i replied "does it roll?". I couldnt believe they wanted me to pick the car up and it didnt even have wheels on it. No worries, ill throw it on my back and walk home!! car thiefs should get a more severe punishment. maybe lose a hand, or even death.. they say not to take the law into your own hands but i dont think i could just stand someone getting community service or minimal time in the cell for all the head casing, and loss of pride and joy. i really hope they find the car mate, if i woke up to see my car missing, id go hulk and roar!

That PC is overkill, also you are using the wrong ram for that board. Tri kits are designed for i7 LGA1366 processors that support tri-channel. For a workstation that uses those programs running simultaneously I would probably go for: Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 / 2.93GHz / 3MB Cache / 1066FSB / LGA775 Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L Intel Mainboard - 2x DDR2 / 4x Sata / 1x IDE / Gigabit Lan / Onboard VGA Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM 32MB SATA 3Gbs LG GH22NS50 SATA DVD Re-Writer (22x - Black) Kingston DDR2 4GB PC-6400/800 (2x2GB) CL5 Value Ram Black ATX Tower Case (550W) Mind you, that PC is future-proof for what it will be used for. Most workstations that use similar workload use lesser CPUs, and only 2GB RAM Good Luck

if the engine was never released in that model of car, you will require an engi cert. larger engine displacement means all nescessary brakes and suspension components are replaced to accomodate, and therefore an engi needs to sign off on it. if you call vicroads and tell them of an engine change and it isnt an rb20 as nismoid mentioned, you run a very high risk of getting into some trouble anyway, if you dont wanna spend a cent on it, just sell the car without reg/rwc and be honest with the buyer. if he opts to buy it in those circumstances, you are all good. if not, youll be spending more money to get it cert and sold with reg/rwc. ps: to specify, by model i mean (GTS-t = rb20det, GTS-25 = rb25de, GTR = rb26dett).

if you can chop and change parts, i would go the intel with the gtx260, and that asrock mobo is in no way shape or form competitive to the gigabyte one on the amd. are those set packages or just 2x custom quoters?

i was looking at the pwr one when i originally bought my car. about 1k for the cooler by its self, only reason i didnt buy it was because i couldnt get a proper idea of fitment (nobody knew how they would fit and modifications required to do so). shame about having to trim the reo, looks like ill be keeping my smic until i find something that doesnt require insurance voids/engi certs.

With the BSOD; After POST, spam F8 (In between the BIOS Screen and Windows Load Screen), select the option "Disable Automatic Restart on System Failure". Once the BSOD occurs, read out the error code. As for the drive, it is very possible that if the power is connected correctly that the servo is stuck. Use a pin to open the tray but do not close it manually, let the drive retract the tray itself and after the load is finished (the activity led on the drive has stopped), try and open again. If that fails (and once we get past the BSOD), we should try an eject command inside windows.
