Theres a guy on here who had a pretty decent setup. 7" double din touchscreen, search for liliput touchscreen on the american ebay and thats what he was using , cost 450 or so i think Had a little netbook in the glovebox nad was using centrafuse media centre or something to control it Had a consult cable and that as well. I dont think its the speed so much as the acceleration, quick losses in traction especially for an inexperienced driver are just recipes for disaster.

i have shitty no name $80 tyres on my car. Havent had an issue since i learnt to drive. Tyres shouldnt be the issue here. Less happy pedal.

Hanaldo, there are 4 reasons this occurred. -shit batch of fuel which i doubt - you didnt fill it up as much as you thought - you didnt reset the odometer for a while - you were high at the time. The difference you stated is huge, I dont get this sort of discrepancy if i have a drift practice during the week. I normally get 450, with a drift practice, read 15-20 laps of barbs on limiter i still get 300-350. There is NO way in hell you got that sort of difference peak vs bp under normal driving standards. Not a personal attack, just stating what im sure alot of people are thinking.

Anywho, i know that when i first got my skyline i wasnt used to the power it made, and i had been driving for 18months before hand, i also know that when i first got a car (lancer) i got into some hairy situations, these would of been greatly worsened if i had been driving my skyline at the time. Restriction on engine size would be sufficient and easier to police, kw/tonne ratings are too difficult to enforce as the police would need to keep a database of every make and model to refer to. something like <2000cc naturally aspirated, unmodified. Sure some cars will go faster than others in this category but the same can be said for the restrictions on motorbikes, but it serves its purpose which is keeping the majority in proportionately slower cars. Its not gonna be a complete solution but its a start. Plus those vn kids wont be able to drive them;)
