  1. Id probably be up for this man. Could you send me through the details? Cheers.
  2. indeed, and on the current/old system you have 12 points same as a fully liscenced driver, im not too sure about all the changes that just came out though. Good thing im off my p's in a couple weeks.
  3. +1 for Japanese performance Centre, owned by Danny Vahoumis ( or however you spell it) Great guy willing to help and give advice.
  4. my point with the bad shocks brakes etc is that it reduces the ability of avoiding the accident. Ive had an accident with a pedestrian, not at fault where i was driving a 94 lancer. I know for a fact that had i been driving the r32 theres no way i would of hit the guy, simply because the brakes are better. no i wasnt speeding.
  5. excel drivers have to be some of the worst on the road dude. They drive their cheap cars, with bad shocks, badly maintained brakes and tyres much too fast with almost no regard for other road users, and in general tend to be people who dont enjoy driving and are generally on the road to get from point a to point b. Obviously not all excel drivers are like that but seriously, the number of close calls ive had involving some driver of a cheap pos car is ridiculous.
  6. I find that my GTS-4 r32 has plenty of go for the street. Hardly get to press the happy pedal before you have to tap the brakes and level out before you get a speeding ticket.
  7. whats actually wrong with it? the lever is missing? or it doesnt wind up and down? If the levers missing just get one from a wrecker easy as. If it wont wind up and down then get the window mech from the wreckers. Take off the door trim theres like 3 bolts? or so that hold it in place with the glass in a channel, take the mek out replace it with the new one, reseat the glass, done. Its really not a difficult process, if you can get someone on here to help you out, better half of 2 hours.
  8. My hicas light comes on and off. Im just gonna rip out the HICAS. I dont however lose my power steering nor have i had any trouble with the other electrics in my car.
  9. Parents are in queensland. I just went and bought a car. Sister told on me:(
  10. Same shit happened to my 32, except they didnt take the wiring just the indicator. Got orange ones for 50bucks but still a pain in my ass.
  11. I have mates who work in the industry who say that they've got back sheds setup better than their "workshop", i also know of someone who had their magna turboed there and it had huge issues, i highly recommend you stay away.
  12. If your just going freeway and turning off at hodges and up to the coast the roadworks arent messy at all. Only really messy going onto the freeway from the Joondalup Dve direction.
  13. There was a set of SA-70s at Danny Vahoumis' shop in Osborne Park. I forget what colour/size but they looked like 18s. Japanese Perfomance Centre is the name of his shop but I've lost his card. I recommend giving him a call, great guy very helpful.
  14. I agree dude seriously, im in a similar situation. Driving my car around with two quite bald tyres as i bought it like that. I have an appointment to get new tyres tomorrow arvo but if i get pulled over in the morning tomorrow I'll no doubt get a sticker. The timing of when you got pulled over sucks but thems the breaks.
  15. Im gonna have to go ahead and say that your not gonna get off. Yes you did just get it inspected, but by driving while your car was unroadworthy (missing gearknob) you had to know that you'd get another canary if you were pulled over. I think its purely bad luck on your part. Granted the fact that the new sticker contains things covered in the original one seems stupid, but the missing gear knob is a legitimate reason for a yellow.
  16. Problem with dealer warranties is they generally contain loopholes and its unlikely any problem you have is gonna be covered. e.g. A car my sister bought off a dealer had the remote central locking screw up after a couple months, they said it must of been failing when we bought it and as such wasnt covered under warranty. Really in most cases i wouldnt trust a dealer warranty as fas as you could throw it.
