  1. Yeah, thats the thing i always thought it was illegal, then bam comes factory standard in a prado. Yeah if you look behind the dash find the immobiliser and see where they spliced it in reconnect wires and presto your away.
  2. same as if he tried to go faster around a corner than he could handle. Track is the best. easiest and safest way to go, hence why i go there.
  3. If your far enough out of town in any general direction and accidentally let your wheels spin there is very minimal ramifications.
  4. Anyone know the legal regulations on keyless starts? My mothers prado for example just needs the key in the car. If my immobiliser/alarm could also start the motor without me needing a physical key is this breaking some sort of law/legal regulation? Reason i ask is my key is so worn that i cant cut a copy off it, i can get another key cut out of the bootlock or something, but you know keyless entry would be cooler.
  5. I believe it is 270 for wascc + nomination fee if its your first time holding one of ~60 bucks or so, Might as well get L2S so you can go to tuning days as well as drift practice. Its 90 instead of 60 i think.
  6. Hey man, If you dont have a jack dont worry you can park uo near me and excentrix and use my crap if you like, You dont need a fire extinguisher for practice, just tow stickers and battery triangles, and even then they dont really worry about it much. You wont chew a full set of tyres in your first prac unless your making big power. Bring a set of skid rims if you like and we can swap them before you go out. If you have never had cams or wascc before then total cost is about ~430 off the top of my head which will include your entry for the night, Come early as it will take a while to sign up/change tyres/talk crap and people have been getting irritated about late starts recently. Long shirt and pants and enclosed shoes. Need a helmet. You wont even use a half tank of petrol unless your again making big power, im lucky to use a quarter of a tank at most. Set your tyre pressures a bit higher than usual, i run mine at 40 psi all round. Thats about it. Send me a pm if you like and you can meet me and thomas before we head down to the track I live just down the road. Regards, Greg
  7. ive heard along the lines of what bubba said.
  8. Yeah sams the main one i can think of. But as posted above he had buses parked on it last time i heard.
  9. ive considered putting in a half cage a few times. as mentioned its perfectly legal if you re-rego as a two seater. Theres been a few rolls at the drifts and more than a few near misses. Those dudes being all like "omg drive on street who needs" you dont have a place to be responding to the question. Dont alot of people get them from Bond over east in a kit? then get someone to assemble? or is it cheaper/easier to get someone in perth to do it. I'd be interested in getting a non cams approved cage at some point.
  10. I recall an article where a guy in bullsbrook was meant to be setting up a skid pan for this kinda thing?
  11. doesnt look like it, dsturbed seems to think its not doable or indeed difficult.
  12. Hey, Im missing a couple centre caps off my wheels and instead of just replacing them i was wondering if anyone knew a place that could make up some with a design i give them? Would be nice. Let me know, Greg.
  13. if the other guy hasnt taken the side skirts id like to get a price posted to 6031, cheers.

  16. i use an assortment, i have a trust one, a dildo shifter and a snap on screw driver handle. no pics of snap on one.
  17. on the note of flutter and damage. Ive been running my stock turbo with flutter, on over 14psi for a couple months with no issues, taken to drifts and all.
  18. i get my tv through cable. but never watch it. Stops all the glitchy crap i used to get when i had an antenna and it was stormy.
  19. big single on GT-R? Emissions seems to be a bit of a trap atm. Leaving my motor fairly stock.
  20. Your decision man, don't want to tell you to go one way or the other.
  21. yeah i wouldnt bother either.
  22. im sure it will be fine if engineered. lets be honest 90% of us have wheels that dont suit. if need be run your stockies?
  23. 16x8 +30 for R32 GT-R wheels. So track change is 16mm from offset changes. Also different widths adds more. 3 inches difference, but halved gives you 1.5inches 38.1mm + 16mm = 54.1mm total track change.
