Well done to all Skyliners. Just finished watching the Channel 7 current affairs program on "Hoon Raids" in Melbourne (I think) and either your all very socially conscious people down there and don't get involved in that sort of rubbish or you were just too quick for the law enforcement people. I prefer to think it was the former rather than the latter. Anyway it was all good to see no Skylines involved in the report. Plenty of Australia's finest sedans caught out there though. Not even a mention of a high performance imported vehicle. I am impressed. Muz

Have you tried talking to the guy at Microtech? he is generally pretty helpful. I had an LTX 12 in my 34 before the PFC and found him to be a reasonable sort of guy. Cheers Muz

The R34 version is "available" thanks to a couple of really interested guys.

I want to purchase a set of Nismo S Tune or R Tune coilovers to suit an R34 GTT. New or used it doesn't really matter. I already have a set of S Tune rears but am willing to consider full sets or just fronts only. The only consideration is that they must be for an R34 GTT and fit without modification. Cheers Muz

With reference to HPI on the R34 GTT, I think what Ben had said was that the Tomei cams were just about spot on in their design and that no benefit was gained from the adjustable cam gear (exhaust only remember guys) but that there were worthwhile gains to be had without the Poncams but with the adjustable cam gear. I think what Ben was alluding to was that for cheap power upgrade, the cam gear would deliver bang for the bucks but step up to the Poncams and no discernable gain was to be had. Must have read and re-read that article 20 times. It's where I get all my inspiration from. cheers Muz

Mine was much the same before the PFC and Apexi filter. Now have 210 at the wheels (@ 1 bar) and that will do me nicely. Graph at .7bar says 186rwkw so I'm happy. Can't remember what revs that was at but I do remember that it does tail off fairly steeply and doesn't hold the boost all the way thru. Cheers Muz

R34......Like any skyline they only get better. Lighter and more powerful than the 33 in standard form but I wouldn't complain if I had a 32/33. Just happened to be able to afford a 34. cheers Muz

Hey JB, I'm another of the 50+ brigade and couldn't agree with you more. I have had all sorts of vehicles and did all those stupid things you touched on. Used to work for a leading (at the time) car rental outfit and had access to all sorts of m/v's and I have to say, my R34 has given me the greatest pleasure of all cars I have owned or driven. Hey Afro, I'm from Cairns and had seen that car around a few times. He didn't appear to drive it all that much. Tried to get the owner to come on a couple of cruises but he were'nt interested. Sweet colour. Out of curiousity, how much did it cost you? The boys up home will be jealous but hey there is a good side to every story, I go back to having the only R34 in Cairns. Cheers Muz

Hi ACT skyliners, I got a bit exhuberant cleaning the car on the weekend and broke my dash light dimmer switch. Yeah yeah I know "what a **********" but I really need the dash lights to drive at night so if anyone has any ideas as to where I can get a dimmer switch from, give me a PM Muz
