  1. Yeah this is basically right; on our R34s, when you have the dipped (low) beam headlights on, if you then switch to high beam OR flash the high beams the low beam will stay on. In our case they're xenons. If you have either just the parking lights or no lights on at all, then flash your high beams, the low beams ALSO come on. AFAIK this is a factory setting for R34s. I don't reckon it's a great idea though as xenons (HIDs) don't like to be turned off and on quickly as it'll burn them out faster. On our R33s, the low beam would turn off when switching from low beam to high beam. Never had a problem with rego though. I think your 'shop is just being picky but at least he let you go with it. In most of our other cars the low beam stays on when you switch to high beam; and only the high beam comes on if you flash the headlights with no other headlights on.
  2. Sure thing
  3. Definitely Longz - looking forward to seeing your new ride and looking forward to the first drive of the year. Haven't even taken my car out of the garage this year yet! Nice car Tim! I like the pic too, that rock wall is a nice background.
  4. Mmm, black cars...
  5. Nice one Pat, I think it would have looked even better if you were given better machinery and if there was a delayed exposure so the traffic crossing in front of the 180 created some light trails. But you had the eye to pick out that shot and it looks good. Awesome work on the calendar Matt. I love that shot with the R35 and DR GTR. Also, I know Jez was pretty stoked with his large format print of that shot, and getting Jim and Fred to sign it at Legends.
  6. Christmas Bump The Nismo exhaust has a very nice tone to it, just the right amount of volume and no undesired 'harmonics'.
  7. Agree that *all* school zones should have flashing lights. I'd say a fair proportion of people that have sped through school zones did so unknowingly because there weren't flashing lights or the sign was obstructed by a tree or placed in close proximity to about 5 other surrounding (unrelated) signs or advertising. Regardless of how careless that person might have been, it's surely beyond question that when the flashing lights are in place the level of unintentional speeding through school zones is minimised. One of the main reasons I look up school terms is that we have limited parking at work and there's a "Bus zone 8am-9am on School Days" sign that applies to a few free parking spots and you need to know when those "school days" are.
  8. I've got another goody ready to go to another home: NISMO 3" Calsonic Sport exhaust (not including cat). For (BNR34) R34 GT-R. In very good condition. Asking $390. ========================== Also, I have available a 3" "Varex"-type muffler that reduces noise output (dB) without restricting flow as it's straight through. As new. $80.
  9. Nismo Gear Knob - SOLD (pending payment) Pioneer Head Unit - SOLD = GT-Cs Still for Sale =

  13. Yeah Stephen, what rims are they? Very unique
  14. Hi guys (and girls), I have a set of four brand new Rays Engineering Volk Racing GT-Cs for sale - the quintessential choice for the Skyline GT-R... - Set of 4 identical rims, dimensions are 20" x 10.5J, +20 offset. To suit R34 GT-R (and possibly R33) - Gold-painted centres, with polished rims. - Brand new, still in boxes (taken out for photos only). Never had tyres fitted. Valves are brand new in their boxes. - Comes with GT-C wheel nuts Asking $4,000 neat. Below are pictures of the actual items. If you need higher res pics, not a problem, let me know via PM. To give you an indication of approximately what they would look like on an R34 GT-R (these are *not* the rims for sale, but another set; the front rims are slightly narrower than the rears, however the rears in the following photos are the same dimensions as the rims for sale): Also for sale is a Pioneer AVIC F310BT double-DIN head unit; - $999 when new at the beginning of 2010 - Bluetooth for wireless phone connectivity - iPhone / iPod connectivity - Sat nav - 4.3" touch screen - Great sound quality as expected from a Pioneer HU - Detachable face for security and connection to PC - Firmware has been updated for 100% stability - Excellent condition. Asking $150 Finally I have a genuine Nismo Black Aluminium shift knob for an R33 (GTS-t or GT-R). It is unmarked in its original box with info sheet and shift pattern plaque unused. The knob was on my R33 GT-R for a while but I ended up going with a different one, so it is practically new. Brand new price was about $95; Asking $25. Any questions, please feel free to PM me. Cheers, Matt
  15. No way - post it!
  16. Kingsgrove Rd Belmore. That'd be about right then.
  17. Hey mate, Seeing as you're in NSW, I'd get in touch with Japlink Motors at Haberfield (02) 9716 0857 and ask for Todd. Or better yet drop in and have a chat to them. They do a lot of compliancing (and 'blue slips' - now called 'identity checks' - for imports (a lot of Evos and GTRs / Skylines) in Sydney and will be able to advise you on what to look out for. I've had two GTRs inspected by them. Good luck with your search
  18. Nah I received the error when posting just text (as I've had nothing to contribute this month whether from iPhone or PC. I just disgregard the error, go back to the main forum and my messages seem to be posted anyway
  19. Mind = blown from last two posts
  20. Ben - on Schoolies - so you're only 17 or 18? Well done mate, these are sensational whatever your age, but you've got a mature eye for proportions and detail. Love the landscapes too but I like this one; has a sort of aged look to it.
  21. Haha that'll cost $29.95... a bit more effort involved there! But do-able. Maybe if one of us gets bored enough we can give it a go. No worries mate, I think the smoked will look the goods.
  22. Merry Christmas Anthony... Carrying on from iwanta34gtr's lead; I also added a V.spec splitter for you: White lenses + splitter: Smoked lenses + splitter: I vote smoked.
  23. Like the lighting in your shots as always Matt. That bloke in the back row, left, in your second shot, or first guy from the left in your third shot; his name Steve by any chance? Looks familiar.
