  1. Thanks for the comments jimX, i think they are well priced cionsidering they retail for $795.00 and they are almost new. If I can't get that I'll just keep them for spares for my car.. phatboi2010, They wont suit Rb20 mate, you will need DIS-001 for your car and GTRS up to series III R33. These will suit RB25 from 95 on and RB26 R34 only.
  2. Lots of questions and offers but still no sale, the first one with $490 gets them.
  3. It is the exhaust wheel that causes the damage to the engine( ceramic) , not the compressor wheel. A compression and leakdown test will confirm if there is damage or not, you could be lucky ??? This is what could happen:
  4. Do a search and you will find the differences in detail. Buy a series III and make sure it still has the xenons( they havent been converted to halogens ....)
  5. If you have busted ringlands a comp test will show it as very low comp , depending on the crack . You can have an engine with perfect comp say 160-170 on all cylinders but worn ( evenly) rings or even a just built engine built with big clearences , wrong rings , big ring gaps etc.... This is what a leakdown test will detect as high % leakdown. The engine will run well obviously because you have good and even compression.
  6. And how do you know that it has a V-spec suspenssion? There are quite a few differences, here are some that I can think of: Front lower lip that goes under the car on V-specs only , rear carbon fibre defuser goes fron the back to the diff on V-specs only. MFD on V-specs has 2 extra functions , exhaust temp and i/cooler temp. Suspenssion is a little harder on V-specs but the struts look the same , I'm sure I missed a few though..
  7. I cant tell you how many 98 v-specs are here, I have no idea . H0ow do you know its a 98 model ? Have you checked the vin? Maybe another bullshit for all you know it could even be a 97? As for the steel wheel turbos from factory , only N1 cars had them and they are bigger turbos and they have ajustable actuators. HKS suspenssion but it has GTR? Thats the factory standard suspession that all GTRS have . Have you seen this car in the flesh ( not pics)? Here is a pic of what they look like ..
  8. I would second that ......
  9. Different tests dude, comp test gives you the actual pressure when the piston compresses the air when it comes to the top on the compression stroke. Its done with a compression tester and masures in PSI, bar etc... Leakdown test is done pumping compressed air in the cylinder via a leakdown tester with exhaust and inlet valves shut it will give you a%in lost pressure, anything under 5% is very good, over 25% and the engine is stuffed in most cases ..
  10. Only warranty I can give you is that they work, if you buy them and I put them in your car they will work I can guarantee that . As with all elecronic parts you can stuff them up if you dont fit them correct, nobody will warranty that . The price is $490 , no I wont take $430 , don't forget they are like new , if I didnt tell you they have been used you wouldn't know. Very short period of time to rectify a fault on a car that turned out to be the CAS. ( not my car) They are exacly the same as the stockers , so you can put the cover back on. Do you have a series II GTST? If yes they are suitable , If you have different car to your avatar then do a search to see if they are suitable using the part number in the pic. I know they are suitable for a series II GTST and R34 GTR.
  11. Same running gear but some late series III came with factory leather seats. No changes at all in 97+ 98 gtrs. R34 GTRS have a 6 speed getrag gearbox so how can they have the same running gear?
  12. If thats the case by the look of the results you don't have any damage from the turbo.
  13. No further use for them.
  14. Will not suit R32 or R33 GTRS guys.
  15. I have stock GTR suspenssion from a 34 , same as 33 GTR but newrand better. As others said GTS won't fit, GTT will but not suitable either.
  16. Are you sure the rear turbo let go? From the results it looks like the front let go, cylinder 2+3 have the most leakage. Have you done a compression test as well? Anyway its a healthy engine, I would go with the mods you want to do. Nismo AFMs are a straight fit .
  17. Splitfire coilpacks to suit R34 GTR and R33 GTST for sale . SOLD Pending payment
  18. Don't forget mine was an RB26 so fuel consumpion would be higher and she was stock tune on a stock computer ( I figured the only way to pass a GTR was to have everything stock), there is another reason for the high fuel consumption but I wont go in to that . Typicaly on an RB26 on the RTA 240 test fuel consumption should be around the 15l/100k and it didn't go un-noticed by the guy that did the test as he told me about it but my aim was to pass the car because it was send there by the cops . RB25's are much easier to pass than RB26's for many reasons. Retarding timming to far won't help , same with advancing it, you have to stick very close to Nissan specs. Same with running to rich or lean , I guess trial and error in your case if you are prepared to keep going there , I didn't have that luxury , I had to pass it .. You answered your own question by saying NOX will increase with heat, run it lean and she will generate more heat.. On the other hand what I told you to do will make it run much cooler because you have much less load when it's going uphill . If you had an exhaust temp gauge you would be able to see the difference in exhaust temp going uphill on full song . Like I told you before there is no easy way out of it and if you had cams you would never pass . Good luck on the next test .
  19. How much would you pay fo one ?
  20. Here you Go Anthony, I found one, I couldn't find the warm up sheet though.
  21. I have a full set from a 34 GTR ( they are the same as 33) , I'm in Sydney but I will pack free and post anywhere at your expense.
  22. Someone must be after a quiet exhaust..
  23. I'll have a look I think I may have one, what do you need to check ? How do you know it never went in to boost ?
  24. How much boost were you running when she was tested? Fuel pump shouldn't make any difference .
  25. Same injector( 444) but the 34 are silver ( not painted) R32 +33 are painted black..
