  1. Thre you go a couple of pics of the shaft you have to ajust . I send you email as well.
  2. That one ( full of rust at no extra cost ) was sold for 2.856 mil jpy, so say 3 million fob .Bring that here and comply it ( if it doesnt get rejected )and see how much it ends up costing you . Say you get 82 jpy to $ ( 84 in todays trading )= $36,600 +$3660 import duty+$2000 transport+$4226 gst +say $3500 compliance+$1000 tyres +say $1000 brake pads =51,986 . What about stock rims ? brokers fee? take off aftermarket parts, .( catback and pods ) what if you need rotors? Windscreen? Who knows what else in a car like this and you still have to register it ! As you can see you cant even get that for $45 k here and with a car like this its a huge risk it may get rejected . If you can get a car like this here and comply it for $45 k i'll take one as well (spare car ) as long as its not rusted out, i dont care about the k's
  3. 11.8 @117 mph ( best 118 mph) and 1.8 60ft @WSID R34 GTR
  4. You wont be buying a bnr34 in excelent condition for 4.2-4.4 mil fob anyway , you will buy a good average car for that with minimum corrosion. IF you want a car in excelent condition you will have to go for a v-spec II and 5-5.5 mil is the closer to the mark . $45 k will not buy you any GTR in australia never mind a V-spec, if you happen to find one let me know.
  5. Did you just replace the timming belt ? If its out by even one tooth on the crank pulley (2 teeth on the cams ) it may cause this . As you said if the valve timming is correct then 15 deg ingnition timming the cas should be in the middle .Take the top cam cover off and check it out , like slo32 has posted above. Line up the very left ( usualy red) mark on the harmonic balancer with the mark on the cover ( usualy white ) , then the cam gears marks should line up with the marks on the backing plate , if they dont (out by a long way) turn the crank 360 degrees and see if they line up .
  6. Its easy to find and ajust . The shaft is attached to the pedal and you have to unlock ( undo) the 12 mm nut then turn the shaft clockwise ( as you are looking at it ) to shorten the shaft , that will bring the take up point lower to the floor . All you need is 2 spanners, a 12 mm open ender and maybe a 7 mm ( i cant remember this for sure ) .Dont forget a few turns will make a lot of difference. I'm sure its been covered before do a search and you will find a pic somewhere, if you have any problems let me know and i'll take a pic for you . If a workshop put the clutch in for you take it back to them and tell them to ajust the pedal for you .
  7. Good 99 V-spec 34's still sell for 4mil jpy at auctions in Japan , I like to see you buy one here fro $45 k in any condition actualy . 98 Gtt's you can buy there from about 1 mil jpy .
  8. Yes its normal for the take up to be very short . You can ajust the rod length inside the car to vary the pick up point. You can install a bigger slave ( Nismo have one ) so your clutch pedal will be lighter and the take up will feel better too but its never going to feel like a stock clutch.
  9. Check the valve timming .
  10. My guess is a bent valve, do a leakdown test and should be able to hear where the leak is .
  11. Of course they are not Duncan but if you take to someone that does them all the time, they know what to look for and they can do it fairly quickly . At the end it will be cheaper and better because they are geared up for it .
  12. More than likely leaking fromthe rocker cover .
  13. You should have taken it to someone that has built them before . What kind of built are you doing ? You normaly rebore and hone the block with a torque plate .
  14. If anyone in Sydney is interested in the turbos, i can arrange fitting at mates rates.
  15. When did they stop offering interim rego? I thought they still do . By the way when you go to RTA to get it registerd the first time you dont need to take the car with you, all you need is all the paperwork. They wont do the identity check there anyway , they will make an appointment for you at another registry . Be careful when you drive the car to get it inspected, unless you have a trade plate, the car is unisured ( no 3rd party personal injury ) .
  16. depends on how the done the conversion, you may not be able to reverse it back . Did they cut the plug ? Did they take out the balast ?
  17. Pics added to original post, i have more high resolution pics for interested buyers .
  18. The series II BNR34 came out in october 2000, besides the seat colour there are a few more changes .
  19. It wasn't a bad guess Andrew!
  20. A 2 piece flywheel Duncan, subaru libertys use it too.
  21. Depends on the model , R33 flywheel is 10 kg but 34 is heavier , its dual mass .
  22. Clutch and flywheel are very heavy , depending on the model though, the little driveshaft is very light .
  23. Including the front driveshaft 90kg .
