  1. Unique Cars' Value Guide 2009 sets it at over 100,000 in Grade A condition, from memory. With the Nur...its not how old it is. It's how rare it is. Hence why the Z-Tune prices are through the roof - there being only 19 of them and all.
  2. For experiences with the JapCars boys...see here (this includes my own): http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ja...er-t275377.html I'd say generally you're in good hands with them. Tell them Cas says hi if you do end up seeing them again =b which one are you looking at?
  3. Can't say its something most people will have thought of lol
  4. You'd be looking at Dennis and the boys at JapCars then? Bought my GT-R from there. All i can really advise is that you google the shit out of any and everything you can find - while this is more of a must with the turbo cars...can't hurt to be careful.
  5. Out of curiosity, how is this going for you? Which one are you looking at?
  6. I KNOW. I was talking to one of my friends the other day about R32s. She thought i meant a Golf. *facepalm*
  7. Alas my friends I have come down with a massive flu and barely leave the house for fear of it getting worse - determined to be better before next weekend's dyno day. There will be moe soon though - Just like i promised. Once i stop shaking like a leaf and my breathing stops sounding like death lol. Nice shots though! really good. i like the lip you have on your bonnet there, did you put that on?
  8. That can be changed though, with the extra amount of money youd usually pay for a 33. However. K's were the first thing i looked at. =b
  9. All fairly worthy choices - however, some things to consider. While i did my probationary licence under the old power to weight ratio and arent as clear cut on the new laws - do they have a cutoff an kWs still? Even NA you may still have trouble with authorities with a JZA80. They really look no different to the TT (just my opinion, others may notice differences, I'm not really one for Toyotas) and so theres always the risk that you may run into trouble. And, as youve said - finding one without power mods is rare. S15s, regardless of being type S or Type R are all currently above 20k in the private market (or around this figure) due to their newer status - ie. early 2000 model cars. Unsure of Autechs, havent seen one. Type S'es are non turbo however (i believe) if you were wanting an S15 badly. or maybe look at an S14 if the price is too steep? 300ZXes generally sell for around 11k and are one of the cheapest cars in terms of purchase price that you have listed. Not a bad first car - but ive never owned one, so all i can suggest is test driving one and see if you like it. If you like the car enough repair costs dont matter so much, ive found. Now...the R34. Around 15 grand still for a GT. Power specs can be found HERE: http://www.japanesesportcars.com/skyline/specs/r34_ggt.php Personally i wouldnt expect much in terms of quarter times from the 25DE - but i may be wrong. From what ive seen they look like a comfortable car and definitely worthy of being a first car. Other than that - the thread youve mentioned covers pretty much everything.
  10. spotted a 370Z twice here in the last few weeks, pretty hot. In black. Yummy.
  11. lol i can see that this is so. unfortunately it always is =b
  12. Will be a pleasure...will have to wash her first tho, shes rapidly gotten filthy. Next door keeps having bonfires and ash and tree matter ends up all over my GTR ffs. *angryface* And aside from that just pray nothing goes wrong hahaha... cuz thatd suck.
  13. I'm the same height...with a very large chest issue =( this does not look encouraging haha
  14. omgz, Bec, i want one. Will be paying up my membership next week once i get paid...will u be out for the dyno day and such next week? cuz ive decided i desperately need one =b ummm...im a fairly lil thing but have an issue with some tops and jackets fitting over my umm...girl parts lol recommend a small or medium?
  15. Spotted! Ballarat style. Last night (thursday) around 9 pm, howitt st. R31 Silhouette GTS, numberplates GTS160. Overtook. Today - R32, black, no wing, Creswick Rd. Parked in front of the cemetery. i LOLed. R33 - Silver - GTS-t Series 2, turning left onto Dana St. R33 - Black - exceptionally low front bar, around 9 30 tonight on humffray st nth/victoria st intersection, sped past, couldnt get rego. Nice looking car though. Does spotting my own car in my driveway count?
  16. *raise hand* oh oh oh. I TOTALLY have the most recent experience. My R33 Series 3 GT-R was bought from Dennis and the boys at JapCars. Had a minor incident with the AFM, and i stress, very minor, but they took care of it for me without a hassle the moment i brought it back in. Personally i love it there, cars are all clean and quality, service is always friendly - both from Dennis and from the mechanics that work there. Would definitely buy from them again.
  17. Sure, can measure it tomorrow if you want. from which points? just length and width of the block itself?
  18. Damn hoses coming loose! Thats why i mentioned the AFM. When i had a similar problem...they tell me the vacuum hose to the AFM had gotten disconnected so it wasnt getting the right reading! such a minor thing, so many major pain in the ass consequences =b
  19. As a leftover from my research on car sales websites and such when i was looking for my GTR...decided i couldnt afford one, which is why i have the 33. You generally wont find one privately sold regardless of year of kms for less than 45k. 50k sounds about right.
  20. Had a similar issue on my 33 but was at any rev range - might be worth looking at your AFM? just in case?
  21. ^^^ LOL.
  22. Might come for a looksy. At this point my GT-R looks better than it runs compared to some of these guys! hehe. but should be worth a look.
