  1. yeah that does suck
  2. well internde used to have a server for both... but i haven't played for a while. I know Gaming SA or Gamearena have a server. We had one running at home for a while too but not anymore. My user ID is Oizo. Buy it dude - its only like $30!! You get access to more tracks and more cars. Still not heaps (as its only Stage 1 release) but there are 7 cars so far i think. Plus you can get heaps of skins for your cars Here's some I made: http://lfs-skins.racesimcentral.com/index....ofile&user=oizo
  3. played both. I bought a copy of Live for Speed S1. worth every penny. NetKar is ok - has heaps of potential but its a bit ... unfinished at the moment. I like the fact that they have official cars in it as opposed to LFS.
  4. Haha that was so un fair How about the 10 second GTR or the 11second gazelle up front? Always the backmarkers that get done
  5. TIP: if you have tinting already, most tinting places will charge you extra if they have to remove it.
  6. Oh yeah fully, that IS all they do - I agree completely. However, when you buy a HSV, you aren't buying a holden. You're buying a HSV. But the whole modifying thing can be justified as they are complying to guidelines... That's my view anyway. I'm don't necessarily agree that they should be able to do it and tuning shops not. But based on the first post asking if imports should be able to escape defects by using official NISMO parts - that's not really the point. The point is the way it's carried out. Ofiicial modifed cars by actual car companies as opposed to self modified cars with official parts.
  7. Well HSV is a car manufacturer. It's not like they are just a tuning shop. HSV is a HSV - its not a holden with mods. As far as i know, Holden aren't even associated with HSV. So that means HSV would have to comply with whatever guidelines are in place to car manufacturers when building cars. They would have to get approval before being able to release it etc. I get your point MadGT4, but you really can't compare a HSV to someone's import they have modded themselves (or even at a tuning shop for that matter). Maybe if Nissan released actual NISMO tuned cars that you could buy from Nissan Australia, that would be a comparison.
  8. I agree with all you said dude. I thought it was great. Well done and thanks for all your efforts! Sure some of us got a bit lost, but if we had actually read the instructions instead of following other lost cars we would have been ok Most of the people we followed turned the wrong way out of the Strath oval... we followed Ah well, IMO it was all good

    Banner??

I'd be happy to do the artwork. Would need to decide on the name though... Over time is gone from Skylines Downunder to Skylines SA to Skyline Association of SA to Skylines Australia etc etc...

  12. so you gotta work for another 27 years? far out they push you hard! j/k
  13. Are people still going if it rains? the forecast looks shithouse
  14. well they are certainly out in force... but looking for the wrong things. Instead they pull a mate over for talking on his mobile phone for 10 seconds, or stop people for stupid reasons rather than catching the maniacs risking everyone's lives doing their "traffic racing". .. gee we moan and complain alot...achieves nothing
  15. You are correct... when it comes down to it, it is a public street which has laws, and racing is breaking those laws. There are plenty of arguements we can come up with but when it comes down to it, if you take part in street racing, regardless of where it is, it's illegal. Doesn't mean people aren't going to do it - same as drugs or stealing or killing. But if you get caught, there's no point bitching and complaining, because i..t i..s i..l..l..e..g..a..l However I do feel that there is a difference between say going on an organised orderly car cruise, and fast 'n' furious style closed street racing. I guess they think that a group of cars on a cruise are out to go street racing... that's what I find annoying. my 2c
