my car is safe from everyone this holidays... defected and locked up in a workshop
-
fireworks? in Adelaide!?
-
btw back on officer neil topic... remember how he called the loose blocked off bov line a "home made boost controller"? well the guy on regency checked my defect notice and he said literally "this cop must have been the biggest f**** idiot ever"... and he was right... he was idiot and I hope you're reading that, neil.... seems like you don't know much about these cars after all... the regency guy said "that thing wouldnt really affect boost since its not even connected to wastegate". And as for turbo timer... he said you were full of crap again. The only reason I failed regency this time was cause my car was badly misfiring, and my car started misfiring quite some time after it was defected. Next time this douche threatens me to charge me with lying and trow me in the jail (like wtf!?... i mean jail!?) when I was clearly speaking truth I'll record him and report him... but for now i'll give him another chance to leave me and my r32 alone. god im still pissed off

i failed the guy there was actually nice, but said that's a mother of misfiring... I even stalled it 2 times while trying to get it up on hoist coz its just so weak... and cause its misfiring the exhaust is also hell louder - another fail... and i need to fix 3 manifold studs, which i was going to do soon anyway... i just dont know how to fix misfiring now... i changed plugs, changed coil pack and ignition lead seems to be alright, cause i tested all connectors with multimiter and all were perfect... ive done even all other shit everyone says like fuel pump, afm,... wtf happened to my car???

heh... its actually at 7:30pm... they work late on thursdays. thanx man

EMERGENCY lol, sorry for giant title and possibly inappropriate place to post this, but I have regency inspection in less than 2 hours and my car very recently started misfiring. I didn't have time whole day and now I went to replace the coil pack that didnt work but car is still misfiring. Only one coil pack isnt working but since replacing it didnt help i assume it's loom that is stuffed, and now all places that sell them are closed. can i pass regency with car misfiring?? or is there any way to quickly fix the connector on the loom? again sorry for making this post look so annoying

replaced coil and its still doing it... and i have 2 hours till vehicle inspection to clear defect... can i pass vehicle inspection with car misfiring??? what is it if its not coil? loom?
-
that hardly qualifies as an article... its like reading comment on a youtube...
-
ngk platinum or even better iridium... im pretty sure any place that sells them will be able to help you out...
-
do you mean type of bulbs like h1, h2, h3c, etc? best way to find out is to take them out cause some of them like headlight ones might have been replaced during compliancing... BTW, what happened to your bulbs??
-
today i finaly had time to take off the engine cover and check the coil packs... after running the car and disconnecting one after another i found a faulty one, so its definitely a coil pack thats gone. the only problem is that the replacement one I bought has different connector that ones found in my car. coil packs in my r32 are mcp-300 with three horizontal pins, while the one i got is mcp-200 with three vertical pins... which skyline uses ones with vertical pins?

Clutch/gearbox Problems
Rocky88 replied to rx313b's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
from your first post i understand that your clutch already stopped working - does the clutch pedal feel so stiff you can barely push it in and when you try to select gear it crunches? if yes, u probably need a new clutch. did your mechanic say your gearbox is blown? coz i dont see any reason why should the whole gearbox be blown. im pretty sure he can check out the gearbox before to see if anything is wrong there, but you'll probably need a new clutch either way... as i said before your clutch probably got stuffed cause the master cylinder didnt engage it properly and clutch was wearing out faster. -
Clutch/gearbox Problems

if you drove with stuffed master or slave cylinder for a long time and crunched gears many times chances are you have stuffed your clutch too. same happened to me... my slave cylinder was leaking fluid and my clutch went just couple of days after replacing the slave. -
Yesterday I spotted really unusual thing... heading down marion road around 4pm I spotted a clean as black R33 behind me with p-plates and recent issue number plates driven by two older women of maori or pacific... maybe indigenous appearance. I was like, that cant be right so I wrote down the licence plate number and time... I'm not trying to be racist or predujice but they neither look like someone on p-plate or typical skyline drivers and they seemed hell nervous. I moved into a turning lane and then moved behind them so I could follow them. They were looking really nervously at me and they were doing like 20 above speed limit. So just to make sure it wasnt stolen I called 131 444 and asked if the car was reported stolen and apparently it wasnt... They finally arrived in marion (which was coincidentally where I was going anyway) and then after stalling car like 10 times they finally parked and I right next to them. Not sure what was going on there, maybe she borrowed car from her kid or something... It probably wasnt stolen, but I just did what every Skyline driver would do cause there's just too many of them being stolen around here lol... Here are pics... ^^my r32 is right of that bmw

Yea... aftermarket coil packs making more hp than stock ones is pretty much just a myth from what I heard from many people. And as long as maintained properly stock ones should also last longer than aftermarket. The only exception is probably splitfires but even they are probably not much better than stock ones. Thanks man. I'll try disconnecting them when I get time to see which one is stuffed and I'll replace it with stock one for now.

^^ Same here. My car doesn't need compliance plate either. People from canberra that do compliancing told me my car never got one cause it was imported under some old scheme... and my car was imported sometime in mid-2005. I don't get it, cause I know many cars imported in 90's that have compliance plate... but as long as they're fine with it I dont care...

So it got much worse and it's pretty much doing it all the time now... It's really annoying so I want to fix it asap. I came to decission that's it's probably stuffed coil packs. Just cant afford to spend $600 on splitfires so I wanted to know what are more affordable options out there. 2nd hand stock coil packs?

yea... that's pretty much what I thought. And gasket is still in fair condition and manifold is not causing any problems at the moment eithers.
-
That's what mine does... not all the time but only sometimes... can happen at any revs even when idling though... here's the topic: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...rx-t247304.html

hmmm... too early to celebrate. Today my car started making the same sound but only briefly. While servicing the engine I spotted 3 studs have snapped off the manifold. I'm planning to get studs fixed and replace gasket on the manifold as soon as I can afford... I just want to know if that might be reason for the weird wrx sound and temporary loss of power.

Tell you what man, don't put diesel in like this guy: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ac...l&hl=diesel
