  1. Any update on this mate?
  2. there is no ground wire connected to ground, theres a positive 12v, but no ground, then if u switch to high beam, another wire is activated and if u connect that to the other positive on the bulb, u get a light, 2 positives and no ground, you get a light, but the other headlight, theres always 2 active 12v lines with the low beams, then once you switch to high beams, one drops off and you have just the 1 positive, but you dont get low and high beam active when its set to low beam even though theres 2 12v lines active, its like when theres a defect with the system, it drops a low beam off one, and a high beam off the other so u have 2 working lights. is there a control module for the s1 headlights, or just the stalk and a few relays? does anyone know if the s2 headlight stalk is the same as the s1 stalk?
  3. there is power at the lights, but its all over the place, theres power when there shouldnt be, but no illumination, and there isnt power when there should be, is it a switched ground trigger? i can get the bulb to illuminate at the weirdest times, then at other times, not at all...
  4. Hey all, Am currently driving my mates s1 c34, which is having some headlight dramas, left lo-beam works, and only the right hi-beam works, so collectively i can drive around with a lo and hi beam, but obviously, thats not ideal. He has checked the fuses, relays and globes, all good, i got him to do some probing with a multimeter, but ill start from scratch again once i grab a multimeter off him. (not that i dont trust him, but he hates electrics!) Has anyone heard of a similar issue? Does anyone have wiring diagram for the headlights? (ive searched and cant find much) any suggestions would be great cheers soti
  5. Had a look at the car today, its running iridium's at 1.1mm, so will b chucking sum coppers in there tomorrow and will gap them to .8 My mate is most unhappy to hear bout the ecu not liking boost. Splitfires seem to have a good reputation amongst rb ppls, so have recommended that to him too... Money money money, I spent 4k on my car just recently, so I cant really comment...
  6. how do u manage that with the handbrake lever being there? i ended up taking the latch off the coin compartment and mounting it on the door of the compartment, drilling holes for the wiring loom. somebody at sum point has used a silicon based cleaner on the trims tho, coz double sided tape doesnt stick, so will use some iso n clean the trims so the door stays shut on the compartment. now the issue is the infamous stutter round 4-4.5k ony got to a peak of 8.9psi stutters like f*k, but clears out by 5ish like all other rb's do! turned the boost controller off and its still running 6.9psi and still stuttering...my 2jz doesnt have these issues....
  7. c34 has the coin compartment on the lower rhs, theres a fuse box directly behind it, so my only concern is clearance, can i do it without kinking any of the lines, visibility is low there, but thats essentially where ive mounted my ebc in my aristo... cant mount it as per celica due to the coin compartment handle being there... thanks for the suggestions so far, keep it coming guys!
  8. Heya gents n gals, Just after some advice regarding mounting of an ebc in my mates c34, am throwing a blitz dual SBC in and am looking at places to mount the controller in the car, a vac line has to go to the unit for boost reference, so got a keep that in mind. I just can't find anywhere that's discreet and still visible. Don't want it on the steering column, way too obvious, same on the dash, not very sleeper, down by the knees is a bit hard to view, and not much space since the brake release and coin tray are there. Was thinking of dremeling out the ashtray and mounting it inside there, but it ts not very visible, was thinking inside the glovebox, like Velcro to the roof of it, but then u gota drive round with the glovebox open to see boost..... So, I'd like suggestions and pics...got bout 12hours or so until i get to it... Hoping weather holds out and we make it to the motorplex with the new round of mods.... Done a bit of searching through the forums and couldn't find anything stag specific to this. Cheers
  9. i didnt, i still have it, its just gone up for sale, but its here! yep, uzz31, 1uzfe love!
  10. law states as long as you are part of the conversation, you ARE ALLOWED to record the convo! my soarer passed the pits when it got regoed, i had 8.5" rears (jzs147 aristo rears) 7" being the limit on the soarers, and a computer for adjusting the stock air suspension, told them the air suspension was factory, didnt care bout the controller, didnt look at the wheels, bam plates on it driving home!! wat if its done safely, even if its illegal, 9/10 times theyll let it fly!!
  11. and my missus says i am crazy for sleeping with a US army knife under my pillow, my car keys stay in my top draw, inches from my head...i also have a baseball bat about 1.5m from my head... we've had crooks jump our side fence (we live on a corner block) we got up, bro grabbed his baseball bat, i grabbed mine, we went from different sides and chased the guy for a solid 300m before we stopped! also had people try to pick our old door lock, guy was fumbling with about 100 different keys, called the cops, rocked up within 3mins....too bad they had just taken off...theres some real scum out there!! latest incident, somebody jumped our side fence, and removed the flood lights lights, left the globes on the ground and stole my lil sis's bike...fence is 6 6" ft tall too...scum mate!
  12. jza70 with big single and external gate a few months after i got my Ps...then a jzs147 aristo (2jzgte)
  13. i used to drive a matte black ma61...i miss her sooo much sometimes... i tend to wave a you line drivers, but never get a response, most probably coz nobody recognizes the JDM 2jz awesomenessness styles of my Aristo! tend to give thumbs up to fellow old skool cars, as well as silvias n alike!
  14. please do elaborate!
  15. unless it looks really modified, they wont look for things like a carbon canister...as long as its all neat n tidy, it should be ok....post a pic of your engine bay... in cars like the aristo, the carbon canister is inside the FL corner, above the wheel arch plastics, but out of the engine bay, u cant see it from the bay..
