  1. Ended up buying some screw extractors. I don't know if that's what an 'easy-out' is but they didn't work at all. I ended up snapping one but luckily managed to get it out of the hole i'd drilled. After getting fed up with trying to get the 2 snapped bolts out i made a few calls and ended up taking the turbo to Edsway Engineering over at coopers plains. I can't speak highly enough of the guy that works there. Not only was he on holidays and came in just for me but it only cost me $20 to extract the 2 bolts out and re-thread the holes. The addy is 20/248 musgrave rd, coopers plains for anyone interested. And is it just me or is it friggin hard to bolt the oil and coolant lines back to the turbo? I must of spent at least an hour trying to line everything up.

    lol true that!
  3. hmmm i might give the 'easy out' a go then.thanx for that! these forums are the best!
  4. hey guys. today I ended up replacing the stock dump pipe with a 3inch stainless steel pipe. While I was in the process of removing the old pipe I accidentally snapped two of the 13mm bolts on the back of the turbo Thankfully It was the top two bolts so I should be able to squeeze my little pistol drill in there without removing the turbo. I was just wondering what size drill bit I'd be best off using to drill the snapped bolts out.
  5. I think the guy who owns it must work at repco or cashies. I've seen it there a few times now. also spotted a p plater r31 and a very nice blue r33 on the ipswich mway goodna area both on christmas around 11ish.

    Autobarn

yea normally I just get my oils and fluids from autobarn. I usually go to the one over at macgregor but decided to go to the slacks creek one the other day. The store is friggin huge! And the staff are actually walking around and helping people, not just talking to eachother and ignoring you. They also have there own professional fitting bay which looked pretty cool. And yea supercheap are shit. I once ordered a boss kit through them for a steering wheel which I'd purchased from them and it took a whole month to get it only to find out it was the wrong one! So all up it was a 2 and a half month wait! And just one more thing, I went to repco yesterday to get a ryco z200 fuel filter and the guy serving me was like 'yea that'll be $42! wtf! so I went to an auto shop and picked up a coopers one for $8

    Correct Tps Values

Thanks for that mate! will give that a go
  12. Hey all! I've adjusted my tps today as It wasn't reading the correct value. I've adjusted it according to the r33 workshop manual values and its sitting on 0.4v at idle which is perfect. Anyway the problem I'm having is that the value should be approx 5v when the accelerator pedal is fully pressed in. Instead I'm getting 3.9v. Is there something I have to adjust on the throttle body or could it be a faulty tps. Any suggestions would be great!
  13. yea re4r01a. mines playing up at the moment
  14. You can't tell me that you haven't had at least one drink and gotten in your car to drive? What about all the people wanting to have a drink after work? or all the people going to rsl's or any restaurant for that matter. I'm certain that not everyone will want a soft drink with there dinner either as I like to have the occasional wine when I go to a restaurant. I don't think this is the solution at all! If anything they should have harsher penalties for drivers over the limit. If your under .05 BAC it's not going to affect your judgement or motor skills anyway!
  15. Be in a program?? I think you should be in a program for even suggesting home made lemonade.
  16. Yes I totally agree that this is just a money making scheme for the government. I think its a f#%king stupid idea and the person who thought of this law is a fool!! I myself am a responsible light drinker who enjoys a drink or two on a friday afternoon with the mates at work. It's more of a relaxation thing for myself as it helps me to unwind after a hectic week at work. I'm all for lowering the limit to .02 but .00 is just a joke!
  17. yea i agree with the metho. Cheap and effective I also add 125ml of turtle wax 'bug off' in my washer reservoir and it seems to do the job quite well. I also recommend silicone wiper blades
