  1. Pawley, if you want to run your GTR, let us know in advance and we will drop the front shaft out for you on the hoist before putting it on. As for giving the freeloaders food......probably.
  2. Another great thing. Along with calibrating the dyno and having it 100% accurate, Morpowa also upgraded their software to the latest version, including full Shootout mode to make sure that all the results are identical to those interstate (at the Summernats etc). They also now have boost graph logging, which plots the shape of your boost response curve. Very interesting lag checking tool! Entrants will have access to all of this included in the entry price
  3. Spoke to Mark at Morpowa today, they are putting on a killer free barby for us.
  4. You heard it. Morpowa, Saturday 17th May, 8.30am kick off. $35 bucks a head. Got some good interest so far, and even better the dyno is being calibrated by Dyno Dynamics this week to be 100% accurate for the event. Matt, if youre up to it you want to help me organise some numbers? Cheers. LOCATION: MORPOWA 14 FAMECHON CRESCENT MODBURY NORTH SAU ENTRY LIST: Nightcrawler - S15 MattR - GTS-t Freebaggin - GTS25t PHAT 33 - GTS25t grepin - GTS25t Nozila - GTS25t Busky2k - S14 200SX
  5. Someone should ask Monroe about getting toasted by an STi today
  6. Ive got R34 GTR rims on my Soarer. They fit great :bahaha:
  7. Dont get your SHACKLES up with me pal!
  8. Young man, I believe a shackle is something you hold a trailer on to a tow hitch with. If you want to have 'words' with me here then please learn common English. Its free its taught in most schools in this country and goes a long way towards making you credible. Or, in a language you MAY understand.....Sik Bro!
  9. I dont have a compressor map for an R34 GTt turbocharger so I cant argue with that. To make that assumption you need to do the sums on the factory turbo. Remember its different to the R33 GTS-T unit
  10. Interesting concept. To back the claims my Soarer, stock turbos, no cams etc. also posted 248rwkw @ Adelaide Auto Salon, in front of around 150 people, on a different dyno, no shootout mode, no corrections, no airtemp in the airbox, at a cell temp of 28 degrees. It also posted 281rwkw right on the absolute limit of (and probably beyond) the stock turbos output at an LS1/Skyline dyno day in front of thirty something people, no factors, no shootout mode. Whatisname figured my turbos were modified and reckoned the figures were wrong. Once I removed them I made the effort to ring him and get him around for a look. After inspecting them he concluded they were stock....as they were. As for the black Skyline? I do believe Bens R34GTt made 200rwkw on Croydon Autosports Dyno, after being tuned by Jimmy Souvas. I am quite sure that Jim was not being a liar, regardless of what Merli thinks, nor does he work for a magazine. Hes just a good tuner, working on a car equipped with good product. My advice for the non-believers is, and always will be, spend the energy put into snied name calling and innuendo into setup and tuning then watch the numbers come.
  11. Have a look at your modification list Joel. If you have blown a head gasket then thats why. Think about it for a minute, you take a management system programmed for 100 octane fuel, lean out its fuel setting with a pressure bleeder, ADVANCE the base timing setting, and then leave the ignition maps stock with 1 bar of boost. That is absolutely asking for disaster. Everything you have done has moved the engine closer to detonation. You guys should know better.
  12. The air temp meter was registering 42 in the dyno bay at one stage, plus I had to use the aircon when doing the light load tuning! On a cold day, with more tuning time, 215 - 220rwkw should be possible. Remember, since you have closed loop feedback, your FC equipped car should do 50 - 80km a tank better on fuel than the Microtech cars.
  13. No, a typical HSV that shies away from building anything decent
  14. The way its going there will be no genuine HRT 427, which means I wont be having one. That saves me from the biggest personal loan known to mankind! Good news on the Soarer is that it makes 322rwkw at 1.3 bar with its new turbo. Cant wait for the next dyno day! Its sort of a Skyline now too, as it has R34 GTR rims.
  15. No its not like a 32 GTR in its time. Nothing like it. Lets get back to my turbo (s). Its single now, and MUCH better. Cheers
  16. Oh yes! Im doing the final fitup of that today. Then its off for the front pipe, and thats that!
  17. Strange thinking Brad! The Motec will do the job perfectly though. Dont worry, just get it.
  18. I have ordered a HRT 427. Order no. 5 in SA. Nice. Munro needs something to help get that R33 down the strip a bit quicker. Trainer wheels might just do it! Nice.
  19. S2000 drivers anthem - "You can get yourself clean, you can have a good meal, you can do whatever you feel......Its fun to stay at the Y M C A......its fun to stay at the Y M C A.....Young Man, young Man theres no need to feel down...YUK!" Even worse I caught Munro cruising with a big, fat, blond......GUY in it the other night. :69: Puke. No seriously, we all should all be a bit more understanding of Munro and his cars, there is a school of thought that states 110rwkw is a lot of fun. At least Brad aint on the bottom of the power sheets now!
  20. Yes, very nice new ride Munro, be just the thing for all the boys at the 'games' in Sydney at the moment!
  21. You SHOULD make that power. You dont need to go that far though, which is my point. Use a bolt on HKS 2540, use the cooler, or a second hand GTR unit, modify the plenum to make it front feed, use the fuel pump with an adjustable reg set to 55psi base. Tune the stock management, make 240rwkw no problems at 1.3 bar. Save a heap of money. 'Brains' did it.
  22. The reason I do this, and its very 'agonised' over by myself, is that every single thing I do is public forum. Every modification I make, even the ones that go wrong, and I document them...in a public forum, that being a magazine. So, when I hear that poor decisions have been made, when I put my blood sweat and tears into helping you decide, then of course it comes across as arrogance. Its like, 'I told you so'. Like the guy that came to me the other day with an R33 GTS, front mount Trust (smaller style) cooler ($1100), FC ($1200 s/h), stock meter, Apex second hand exhaust ($650), Z32 fuel pump ($250 s/h) and a set of straight fit second hand 600cc injectors ($700). He wrapped it all up with a bolt on HKS 2535 ($1600 s/h) and made 274 rwkw @ 1.3 bar. For well under $6K including my tuning he over doubled his stock power. Now thats smart. Better to tell you its rubbish than keep encouraging you down the wrong path. Think about it.
