  1. ahhh, fair enough, thanks mate
  2. Now for something completely different (its ok to hijack my own thread isn't it?) Can anyone tell me why they think this GTR look like such a bargain, I imagine it has been resprayed, so maybe its been in an accident but it looks reasonably clean and stock http://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/detail/CU...4709/index.html and its in my prefecture, and surely its a 2 door VL prototype that Holden never made?? kidding ...I am just interested to see why its going for so cheap when it has almost two years shaken left
  3. Double post of the following post sorry I dunno how it happened
  4. All gaijin girls look fat when you have been living here for a while
  5. Good to catch up yesterday with you too mate, if I wasn't so drunk I would probably write a more enigmatic reply. Here is a suggestion I did not see in a guide book - don't go one for one with an ojisan- sake makes the floor moving
  6. sweet, thanks guys, especially for the PM Keith. If any of you see a 6ft odd tall gaikokujin with a shaved head, a black manbag and grey jeans be sure and say hello
  7. Is anyone going to this? and if possible could anyone give some directions ? Osaka is only a bit more than an hour away and I got nothing on tomorrow.
  8. Thanks Beer Baron, I know what you mean about imports here too, through my window I can see 4 1980s Citreons (a workshop specialises in them) and a big Chevy wagon, down the street is a Camaro and in town there are countless big American 4x4s and vans. Not bad for a city so small its sister city is Shepparton in Victoria. Not to say there arent any local machines of note, check out this weapon
  9. I saw a VZ ute not long ago and I live in a relatively small city. There is a website which imports new Holdens and sells new and used ones (3 000 000 Yen for a second hand auto ute is pretty expensive though). Besides I need a wagon which I can work on myself (mechanics are really expensive here), has RWD (not AWD) and a snail. Plus I really like the VL wagon- perfect size for me, great choice of bits from newer models, massive amount of info on the net about them and with an Aero kit they look good.
  10. Set phasers to flame, actually please dont hurt me. Has anyone ever looked into importing a car into Japan? Try as I can I cant really find anything I want as much as a VL wagz and when combined with a head, gearbox and interior from an R33 GTST it would be a pretty cool car and unlike anything else here. Also what about modifying cars legally in Japan? Is there any references or anything I can look at that will give me an idea of what can and cant be done.
  11. Osaka aquarium is amazing, especially if you get there for whale shark feeding time. Odaiba Toyota museum is ok, I hear Aichi one is much better but I haven't been yet. You are only passing through Nagoya so it is besides the point.
  12. This will probably turn out to be a massive waste of time and not guaranteed even if it does work but check your car for any stickers or any paperwork you have for this kanji 県 which is prefecture (-ken) if you check the preceding kanji with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prefectures_of_Japan you might find some leads. However if you find 府 or 都 or 道 check the website as it may have been in Osaka, Kyoto, Hokkaido or Tokyo. Check inside of your door frames as well as under the bonnet and also on the diff housing as it may have had a sticker put on it if/when serviced. Check everywhere you can be bothered. To be honest though I think it wont really get you anywhere but if you are desperate it might help.
  13. Hope to be there, I also hope my understanding of Japanese is enough to get me from home in Nagoya to there via shinkansen
  14. If he doesn't want it I am definately interested as I would like the LPG system and other spares for my VL wagz. Plus I am only about 15 mins drive away from Mascot. phone: 0409 779 884
