  2. Haven't got a aircon/heater blower fan have you?..R33 PM if so..thanks
  3. Hi Guys, chasing up an aircon/heater fan for a R33 S1, S2 is probably the same. Bolts to the bottom of the air box. Bris. preferrably, but post is fine to 4128.
  4. update: One of the guys in Bris. PM me, has one locally for a DE. Thanks for the offers.
  5. Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback. Don't know if the DET pump is the same as the N/A, but don't see why it would be different.\ Kind of stuck at the moment..no working pump..ECU says 55, all good - Shoot me a price with $20 postage if you like.

    Autobarn

Good point, but where does the learning stop and the 'expert advice' tag start. I got desperate the other Saturday and sent someone up to Autobarn Logan to grab a set of drive belts for a '95 R33 with all the right model/engine details, not exactly rocket science..they got 3 out of 3 wrong! Grabbed the old belts and went back myself right on closing time..they had all 3 correct belts in stock. Ok, my bad, wasted time and effort, but these 'experts' are also selling parts, oils and accessories to uninformed customers that are not only causing inconvenience, but also damage and costing money. Time management started listening to customer feedback and had a re-think.
  7. Basically all you can do, I run an FTO as well with tiptronic, been through 2 trans at 150,000K. Both started acting up a bit, came good, started shifting hard, then ultimately ran out of drive. I don't think you can run stock autos behind high reving performance engines and have them live for too long.
  8. Where to buy...Brisbane. RB25DE fuel pump.
  9. Still hace the speedo cluster?
  10. Looks like I might need a new manual, N/A engine control computer for an RB25DE R33. Anyone with a good one available shoot me a PM. Thanks guys..
  11. yup, just looking for something more specific.. Same deal happened the other day, won't start, the fuel pump wasn't running prior to cranking, checked the pump relay..all ok. I expect the problem is either the pump itself or the ECU (ECCM) not responding to the start signal..doesn't explain the normal start after waiting an hour though. I don't want to replace the ECU and then find there's something up with the pump, or something else. You'd expect either the pump or ECU would be working or not..coming good after a delay seems a little weird.

    O2 sensor

Damn, this is a sticky? Was looking for a replacement O2 sensor for a RB25DE..got to page 12! total confusion. Guys the O2 sensor only controls EFI in closed loop mode..cruise or light throttle, anything else is determined by your map values and if it's OEM then rich is the key word..to save warranty claims, aftermarket..you need a tune. Sooo your not going to see huge increases in economy, unless you do a lot of highway driving. This means turbo or non-turbo doesn't make a difference as far as the O2 sensor is concerned. Also like MAP sensors or ECU temp sensors, they are specific to each manufacturers specs, even though they operate in the same range ie. 0-1v NB O2 sensors..0-5v MAP sensors..you need a replacement that duplicates the same specs... BTW the lower sensor doesn't have anything to do with EFI, it monitors CAT integrity in a narrow band above 1200degF. Thanks Kudos..going to place an order.
  13. "I was accelerating just revs and just keeps going slower" When the CEL light comes on it goes into limp mode..looses power, but going on what you said above, sounds like your auto trans is on the way out.
  14. Starters fine, good battery, cranking speed is normal. Go to start it and it cranks rormally, just no indication of any attempt to fire. Acts as if there was a problem with the CAS or ign problem..half hour later it fires up on first attempt and runs normally..bit strange to say the least. Once it's running, there's no indication of any problem, idles normally, runs fine. I thought it could be leaking injectors after shutdown, tried starting at WOT, but still no indication of trying to fire, plus you'd expect the problem to be constant if it was injectors. Tried a reset on the ECU..still the same. There's no alarm or ign cutout fitted either.
  15. Thought I'd run this by you guys in case it's a common issue. Engine won't start after shutdown, happened a few times, otherwise it's normal. Leave the car sit half an hour and it starts and runs normally. Seems to happen hot or cold startup attempt. Idles normally, has normal power when running..just won't fire up at all, until it sits awhile. I haven't checked error codes yet, but there's no CEL comming up. Thought it might be a leaking injector or AAC problem..maybe even a ECU temp sensor, but running fine after startup has me puzzled. Any ideas..........

    Autobarn

if you need help from morons mate...your the idiot. better late than never.
  17. Heater/Aircon blower motor?
  18. [quote Even having insurance doesn't mean you get your money back, you gotta pay for the insurance claim and 98% of people here have probably spent more on their car than insurance will come close covering. That's the point I was actually making, most insurance won't cover anything like the value you've sunk into your car, just current market value. Red book on a '95 non turbo R33 is 8 - 10k, depending on condition. Even agreed value, if you look at the conditions on a lot of contracts says 'agreed value or current market value, whichever is lower' which is a total rip.
  19. Well in my experience the com-co. controls the persuit. The lead car calls speed, traffic & road conditions in the interest of safety, for both the crew & the public (and offender) and the nearest available marked car is allocated the lead. Most patrol & 'unmarked' cars are incapable of speeds much over 160kph, one reason is because the beads break loose on the tyres, so persuit cars are allocated the lead. Should the com-co. consider the the persuit 'dangerous', then the code 2 is called off or slowed down. Don't know of any 'checks' or 'investigations' unless a department vehicle has been damaged or an injury has taken place during a persuit. A bit too much tv maybe.. But then what do I know.
  20. yup..just trolling Bad day?

    Autobarn

Can't believe you guys are still bitchin & moanin about Autobarn..has anyone ever had a good experience in there?..count me out! It's just an upmarket SuperCheap where the pimply 17 year old expert they page is going to solve all your problems.. damn, don't you just hate the way they zero in on you and say "can I help you"..like that'll be the day.. The best place 'ever' was QPD, they could get you anything..I mean 'anything' in half a days notice, and they all shaved, even the chicks..and actually knew everything about anything..quality parts and it all fitted and cheap..even Australian made! and Sundays! So what happened..they went out of business, because everyone was at Autobarn! Starting to feel depressed.. time for a bundy..
  22. [/quote will leave leave something for the return of the crane what about your GF Sorry buddy, couldn't help myself..I would, but have a MR2 hanging off it at the moment.
  23. Now that's got possibilities...and mail them back annonmously.
  24. Good quality, reasonably priced paint job..yeah, those were the days! There's cheap jobs..basically what you say is what you get. and custom jobs..means the car sits in the corner of the workshop for 3 weeks, then gets wet rubbed the day before you collect it. Check out Carl at Arrow Custom in Underwood, if you want the best..and willing to pay for it. or Daryl at Accord B/W in Slacks Creek if you want a good painter doing a 'reasonably priced' paint job.
  25. That seems a lot of trouble to go to, just to find out we are being screwed over? I think you forgot the 'x' factor = times greed.. I thought it was common knowledge now..that the public is basically treated as a heard of milking cows. Maybe Coles/Woolies could explain the finer points on fuel pricing policy, they are the experts..me, I just eat grass.
