Quickly looked over his N1, but paid real attention to mine like: looking for engine number, checking rego sticker, compliance tag and a few other things. Silver and a white 33 GTR at Gepps cross around 4pm. Spent the day with Iron Chef and his N1 at Japanese-Australian Federation day.

Only bad experience i had with fuel was running "on the run" servo's Extreme 98 in my old 33. The knock went from under 20 on bp ulitimate under all conditions to 230+ under load on the Extreme. A talk to the tuner and all was summised, OTR Extreme 98 is a 10% ethanol based fuel, therefore o retune would be needed to run on it. Swithched back to BP and no further excessive knock reading.

Or so they say. The first series of VT's has a similar problem with the cast alloy transmission pans weaping through the casting. Problem only arose after the car had be driven for a while (constant heating up and cooling down). Therefore if it is a porys casting then it would only show up more so after install and driving than in a simple bench top penetrative dye test.

My guess would be a porus casting

Yeah that servo is always crawling with cops, might just travel a little further to Dalkeith BP me thinks from now on.

I had these in my old 33 four door, dampners set halfway and it was pretty sweet on the roads. In the GTR i've got Ohlins with who knows what rate springs. still needs some fiddling to get them justy right, bit like a pinch and twist
