  1. dont be sorry you'll be happier with the Porsche than the R35. we already have 3 GTRs with transmition problem and you wouldnt get that with the Porsche.
  2. its this anime that makes AE86 sprinters soo farkin exxy for their age!
  3. wgmg when old shit gets fragile and breaks easily even when u arent using force! and dealership salesmen, they just love tailgating people's arses!!
  4. 1-Mitsubishi GTO or 3000GT 2-Mitsubishi Galant VR4 3-built Mazda MX5 4-Toyota RZ Supra 5-Older model Impreza WRXs(1990s) or a Mercedes 300E with an RB26 in it some already put JZ engines in them but you almost cant decide what else to drive if you rule Nissans out.
  5. normal. they break easily by spun bearings when you put too much power due to engine design. too many dicks drive WRXs plus, all Subaru succeded in racing was WRC. GTR? well; Bathurst( i think we all know that one), Targa Rallies, Group A(1990s), Le Mans(1990s), JGTC, Drag racing(HKS R33 GTR), etc...
  6. the 35s brake pads are pretty shit. our GTR mechanic did one for his training; he looked at the brakes, seem fine until the trainer ask him to pull the pads out and its cracked in half!! best bet is to go aftermarket like ENDLESS. if you think the GTR pads prices are bad how does $30,000 sound for just the pads for the spec v model? yeh sure its carbon ceramic but when its time to replace them.....should i go on??
  7. wgmg: some commonwhore drivers, especially those in utes or ss V8s, they just love riding up people's arses.
  8. they are planning to put speed cameras in as well to sting those who try to beat the redlights. so if you got flashed by beating the redlight, they can also catch you for speeding. not sure about the one there but hope it isnt.
  9. fair enough cuz it takes a lot of time to tune for power and still meet emissions so most workshops couldnt be bothered.
  10. you can still tune your car to pass emissions and make big power at the same time. they've done it at the eastern states so dont see why we cant do it too.
  11. it will still last longer than a rotary at high kms. ive seen GTRs going more than 200,000kms and still going strong especially if you take care of them properly, even the turbos. to me a rotary is like some women: if you dont drive it hard, it whinges and sometimes it wont start because the engines flooded (not what you want for a daily driver and ive seen it happen many times when the car comes in on a tow truck and owners saying it wont start) and if you drive it hard, it still whinges and like i said at 50,000kms or more when driving hard, it might go bang so, to sum up, its unpredictable and doesnt know what it wants to do exactly. while rotarys are good as race cars, its hard to live with it as a daily driver and the GTRs have more successes as a race car.
  12. +1 for CPP. always park there
  13. +1 dont drive like a dick, you'll be fine. of course when driving normally, dont act too sus. now that the emisions test is on hold, we can at least relax for now. hopefully the improved emissions test will be better than when they 1st started.
  14. sounds like the R33 GTR got the most votes. you'll be happy with the GTR as an everyday car
  15. -rear bumper have a few blows from the past(been rear-ended, some of my mistakes, been swiped) and still not repaired -big dent on boot that apparently cant be removed without bogging it -dents from people who are too fat or dont know how to open doors -front left rim damaged (past long story, some suspension parts involved tho got them replaced since but still good) -gutter rashes on rims -dont use anti-squeal grease( was there before i bought the car)!! someone used it on my brake pads, got stuck on the seal and took the piston seal with it when removing the old pads! -bottom window seal lifted -steering wheel still off-centre even after wheel alignment( i would rather do it myself from now on)
  16. if i had an import N/A, i'll still use 98RON: safer and if tuning, more power i guess
  17. its true that RB26DETTs have oil problems like too much oil gets to the head and drains pretty slow to the sump but that only becomes an issue when you are making big power which by then you would be doing a rebuild but when you are doing moderate modifications, thats not an issue at all. the RB26 is stronger than the 13B even as it gets old and its easier to replace an oil pump( you can also DIY) than to take a rotary apart (not so DIY unless you know what your doing) to replace the apex seals and pay too much(as BASHO said $7500 or more).
  18. where are they located?
  19. hey man see u got da lock bar installed

  20. one of my mates used 91 octane fuel on his skyline and the engine went bang later. higher octane fuel reduces the chances of detonation which is why i only use BP Ultimate 98RON( WA doesnt have Shell optimax grrr ) more expensive fuel but better than expensive repairs.
  21. youll need fuel pump and injectors to be on the safe side as the RB25's fuel system maxes out at 190kw. 300rwhp is possible on stock turbo but check the condition of the turbo 1st or it will just blow up while tuning. oh and keep boost below 13 psi((or at .9 bar) ceramic turbos hate high boost) and you should be fine. but it all comes down to the tune seeing as how some got more than 400hp out of stock internals these days (myth-RB25s can only handle 400 or less).
  22. GO THE MI GORENG!!! and the Malaysian MAGGI curry flavour!!
  23. ^^ haha sorry yeh i mean the oil filter sandwich plates just so you can mount oil temp and oil pressure gauge sensors
  24. no matter how sensible you drive on a rotary, you'll still struggle to get more than 20mpg. plus, the RB26DETT is more reliable than the 13B and the moment you get above 50,000kms on a rotary, you've got to put some money aside for a rebuild just in case it lets go plus again, you wouldnt know whats the history of its 50,000km life. the R33 GTR is still better no matter how you look at it: 4WD, twin turbos as well, bigger space in the boot, has back seats and if your worried about the authorities or you prefer sleeper mods, the R33 GTR attracts less attention compared to the RX7 (seeing as how some people thinks the R33 styling is bland but functional). oh and you have the bragging rights as well: the R33 GTR is the first production car to go round the Nurburgring in under 8 minutes back then.
  25. is it me or everyones washer jets seem to have problems?
