  1. my camera phone is the only thing i have unfortunately and the lens is cracked. the cars still arround tomorrow so ill try to get some clearer pics and post it up.
  2. pic qualities are not the best because my lens is cracked but at least we can still see it. the GTR came from Victoria as a demonstration model where the GTR mechanics were trained to drive them... tyres after 4000km and they cost 1500 per wheel
  3. i used to run Castrol EDGE 10W-60, valvoline 15w-40 and nulon 10w-40 but then i finally decide to settle with Motul 300V 10w-40 (gotta admit its expensive), all synthetic, nothing less. how much oil did u put in? RB25s carry 4.7L including oil filter. i used to run 10W-60(pretty thick stuff) and 15W-40 and had no oil consumption, though it takes awhile 2 warm up
  4. double the standard output and the standard clutch goes kaput;you can pretty much measure the life span of the standard clutch in minutes when you take it drag racing. get the best clutch you can afford so you dont have to change it when you increase your power later in the future.
  5. got my pipes and cat fitted by tenagah too. very happy with their work, service etc...had my car on the dyno after that and made another 10Hp
  6. with you on this one
  7. this is what our GTR mechanic told me: -modify your R35GTR, even an air filter upgrade, warranty void and cant get serviced at the dealership -if one rotor has a hairline crack, all rotors plus pads to be replaced -if one tyre punctured, all tyres have to be replaced and they cost over 1000 a tyre(GTR tyres are made only by BRIDGESTONE and DUNLOP) -turn VDC off, warranty void cuz its a SAFETY(wtf) thing -apparently a jap spec GTR cant be serviced at dealerships cuz its different to the aussie delivered ones services are pretty damn regular and even though some can afford it, going back to the dealership several times is going to annoy owners cuz your servicing the car more than you drive it and in the end, some might be thinking they would rather have the older model GTRs and modify them plus the older GTRs are easier and cheaper to maintain or just buy something else the mechanic also drove them during their training course(a prerequisite for GTR technicians) and while he said they are quick, he felt that the technologies have taken the controls away from the driver and feels unnatural (our GTR mechanic races cars before) and he said its annoying how when you go round the corner with all the VDC, traction steer, etc on, you'll see a variety of lights and warning signals blinking all over the place telling you are going round the corner too fast so we are doing this, doing that blah blah blah yada yada yada trying to work out some kind of compromise.
  8. id go for named jap brands cuz they are tried and tested with more research and development, so you can be pretty sure that your safe with those mods. despite that, some Aussie brands dont do too bad too.
  9. i usually have important things to do every sunday morning from 10-11 so after that ill try to get there as fast as possible as i live near wembley but ill make it. might just get there in time when everyones taking off: just follow the line of silvias and skylines
  10. since i cant make it 2 da SAUWA cruise might just make this one since the timing is convenient
  11. cheers good to hear that it can be used. how much is it usually to get a permit? anyone has it on their cars as well?
  12. this is how it looks like when trial fitting moved seat back for taller drivers outside from my seating position and when i look at it from the front of my car it doesnt sit higher than my steering wheel while on the inside it appears to be a little bit higher. what do you guys think? will it pass the pits?
  13. i thought so too. i got it off ebay.
  14. didnt she won the court case?
  15. the GTR is usually rear-wheel drive when standing still or when you drive normally and it only kicks in when you start to push it hard like accelerating out of a corner or when launching. so when your entering the corner, it enters like a RWD but when the throttle is pressed, the front grip gradually comes in and give the AWD advantage. basically the GTR has the advantages of both FR and AWD and only the weight is holding it back. as for the ATTESSA upset, dont forget that the suspension and tyres are tuned and chosen together from factory to match the ATTESSA's characteristics so changing these two and even the power output will also change how the system behaves but if the tyres you chose are better than factory or if you can tune the suspensions to match the changes, it will still work and you might be able to take advantage of the 4WD system easily.
  16. apparently the tyres are specially made by Bridgestone for the GTR tho Dunlop has made one for the GTR as seen in one of the Best Motoring video on the MCR R35.
  17. it sits slightly higher but doesnt overly block my vision plus i sit close to the steering wheel and im only using 52mm gauges anyway. if its defectable, is there any alternative to gauges or is there any way to mount the gauges within my line of vision? cuz i dont want them to sit below the air con vents or anywhere i cant see them. any help would be great cuz i already have the holder and the gauges
  18. wgmg f**kin c**ts who dont know how to open doors and park. my car used to be straight and now its got dents on both sides from people opening their doors into my car.
  19. ive bought this holder for my gauges does anyone know whether its legal to mount the gauges on top of the centre console for R33s?
  20. think da pcv valve brings blowby gasses back to the intake manifold 2 b burned off completely. was learning bout it at TAFE last year but correct me if im wrong cuz i cant really remember. it doesnt affect the performance much but letting only fresh air into the intake manifold is always a good thingbut id check to see if its something else dats bringing oil into the intake pipe but most of the time its excessive blowby.
  21. hey Jess, yeh i havent been online for awhile cuz my nets being gay these days. i was out the whole day yesterday but ill try 1st thing in the morning

  22. S13 convertibles only come in automatic transmition and CA18DET engines. factor in an SR20 and manual convertion later on and it should be a sweet ride but as Rhys said they are getting a bit old so look around and find a good example. tho its good to be different sometimes and the convertible S13 looks nice i reckon.
  23. hey guys i was thinking about getting a Defi-Link Display but unsure about it. has anyone installed one on their cars? where can i get one in WA?
  24. ^ fact i guess lol nah got some info from HPI mag and most from what i know tho im not sure about the RB20 part but i remember seeing on the magazine that they say the RB20 are strong things and MIGHT do 600 with the right tuning. i think someone here on the forum has an RB20 with 400 HP with stock internals.
