  1. rb25 manual running bout 7pound at time ok guys driving home after work today, took off from lights, gave car boost up to bout 4000 in 1st,then a bang bang sound with a sound like stones under the car but coming from engine bay/exhaust area under car,so clutched into neutral then turned off,or stalled not sure which happened first. Now car wont start but turns over. Have i blown my turbo up,or bits through the exhaust ? If anyone has ideas to what it may be or what to look for, would appreciate feedback,to save time etc,as going to pull apart turbo area see what we find there 1st
  2. yeah spot on,i also found it funny to go out for a cruise only to find those tossers riding their freshly polished nobs, with their brand new one piece leathers ha ha ha Nothing like us old boys from way back when poeple knew how to ride for the passion of it hey, miss my bike heaps and its only been 3mths grrrrrrrrrr
  3. I believe as long as you take out the rear seat belts also it will be ok,of course do the ring around to regency see what they say, until then just use the old "just cleaning seats etc",as far as registering it as two seater,if its a two door it cant go down any lower, but dont quote me on it.if possible though it will be a regency job.
  4. I disagree a little though roo, ive been involved in a some of the more prestige clubs over the time(ie mustang etc),and there are certainly a lot of tossers out there, but ive seen the owners actually looking after their cars and try to keep there name of the club clean, not out drifting in the city or suburbsiin broad daylight,or slagging other clubs while on line for all to see. Of course we dont have to like their clubs if we dont want too just like other things keeping it known but discreet is the key i rekon, some of the younger lot dont understand this theory. I mean i know we arent a club instead a gathering of people with import cars etc, just think that not enough people think before they talk/act and ruin it for others, both to stay in the club or wanting to join in future. enough of my opinion /
  5. cant stand all the fake people that sit back and bag or winge about how sh#t other car clubs are,how they deserve to be defected etc, when our club at the moment looks like we have too many tools in it,that fight, cause sh#t and dont want to be part of the solutions. Nothing worse than too many people having something to say but not willing to stand up and help solve/organise sh#t.
  6. r33 standard air box cover (plastic box over air filter) r33 power steering bracket for fluid box (bolts on left strut tower) r33 standard oil catch can pm me if have anything, doesnt need to be perfect, just dont have anything
  7. doesnt make it right though buddy,if they take that attitude we have already lost our battle, not saying some car clubs dont deserve a good looking over, just rekon that the battle with the cops doesnt just start with us,it needs to be combined all over which is the battle we face, hoons are hoons no matter what car they are driving
  8. -1 for these types of comments, if the cops are out defecting them this week then they are going to be out defecting us this week, cops should only be doing defects when allerted to bad behaviour etc not because they see a gathering in a car park come on guys get it together
  9. yeah may have wires crossed thought that ryan worked at business on port rd(without shaming),they did a less than average job, sorry for the mix up,if you do such a great job ill be in need of a good trust wothy mechanic soon, busy?
  10. I beg to differ i didnt like the way they operate, just my opinion nmts
  11. I just had my car back after my bumper was sprayed, they said the cost of the damage was over 500 to match and spray, just be sure to check the colour after fix, mine is still wrong colour(grrrrrrrr)
  12. looking to pick up standard air box cover and brackets etc, want to customise for pod, looking to get bracket that holds up powersteering fluid box,one on left suspension pillar pm me please
  13. I agree with a few people and their ideas, and think that a thread with 'this month we are having a cruise' should be made with no details of the cruise just an area where people interested can say pm me for details or something similar, then everyone will know one is happening and due to the pm will have details etc. As for the opening of the bonnets what a load of sh"t,there is no reason to do any of this,if we are told by the police that they want to co-operate then turn up say hello, check all is ok and if feel like a cruise themselves then feel free to come along for the escort. some people are saying its ok 'he' just let me know this and that needs attention, then why cant they or this "neil" organise a free inspection without "consequences" for our cars,to show or "help" us make our cars acceptable. Ill tell you until this type of thing can be done(never) the police will continue to say they are "helping" us and our cars, but can guarantee that there random looking under bonnets does us no favours,it just help them while writing out there next 'random' license check, sorry defect lol
  14. things i really hate: People who say i did this and that to my car, when in actual fact they boked it in and had someone else do it. People who are quick to bag others for there comments when they werent there at the time. People who go around pretending they have this and have that,or did this and did that, when they dont have or do it,and their close friends know it. Im done for now
  15. Nope just myself and my knowledge these days, over the years done all sorts of these roles etc Sounds like your doing something right, excellent
  16. Yeah 2000 dollars later, can sort my car out now,and yeah not saying cops are out to get most of us,its the age old argument most of the time "attrack attention and you get attention".
  17. You know i agree with you roo +1 for the police leaving you guys alone -1 for the poor guy driving the marron 33 that got hassled out at modbury bp thurs night, all he did was pull up put petrol in and then got the "can you pull over here so i can check your car out" then striaght to other side of his car for his paper work and tape measure. Then after he had finished with his paper work (defect) he then thought he would park in front of my car to wait for me to exit servo,15mins i had to wait in the servo for before he left, and you know i dont wish to attract attention. Just goes to show that not all police are out to co-operate with us
  18. hair dryer, plastic scraper and buy some tar and bug remover, dont use blade will scratch and dont use metho etc if want paint still
  19. I may be wrong but if you look in to how the orbital buffer works,im sure that inside it has a motor that repeats itself in the same direction, most cant use without leaving marks, but as you said everyone takes to it in their own way, good to hear you have your technique sorted,is a skill lots of people cant master. Your exactly right though no matter what product you use,use it enough in the right way and your car can continue to look great for ever Oh and I left detailing to be the boss of others,i sit at my desk searching ebay all day long, moneys bout same without having to raise a sweat these days, except for doing my own cars etc
  20. yep,you can try to doggy up with colour mix compounds,or even touch up paint pens, but you wont get it smooth without seeing spots where you have fixed it,but then im not a painter so i can only speak from what i know,id say for the sake of 500-1000 dollars to paint it new,itl last another 10 years or more and be worth it,if helps
  21. yeah roo since you only live 5mins away, give me couple weeks got stuff on,then just drop it off,we can sort something out. As troy said ill let my ride tell the story from now on,anybody need advise or help feel free to pm me,if i can help even just give advise im happy to help, and yeah any polish wax put on by hand is better than nothing guys
  22. clearly some people have knowledge of sorts when it comes to doing what they do,the best advise i can give is if you cant do it yourself talk to people you trust, and get them to do it. Better to be cautious than pay for a new paint job. The gear i use i trust,it can be used for all applications as they are chemical not abrassive,so on plastic glass paint etc, they never leave a mark,if the area has already been treated within the last 6mths to a year,it wipes off simply leaving a shine after. everyone has there favourites just stick to what you think works best,my cars have always looked and stayed like new for over a year without needing a 4 hour polish again
  23. i say go the cinema screen,my setup is awesome,i play games watch dvds and due to my tuner watch full hd through projector onto my screen and cause of my surround sound its always cool to watch anything
  24. not doubting you do a good job, although to say that a buff doesnt leave a spin mark is a bit of a stretch, ive been detailing professionally for over 10 years and ive tried every buff/polisher on most markets, and i used to think that they removed swirls too. Any machine that spins one way leaves light marks no matter what products you use.
  25. he uses products designed by scientists, that have no harse compounds in them, its all done by chemical reactions, the products basically go under the dirt and lift it up,then the polisher which is similar to the ones they use on aircrafts but 10 times smaller, with its two specially designed rotating heads works the polish in and takes away the crap off your paint, done heaps of dark cars with bad swirl marks and had awesome results, when i left he had interest from new car dealerships to do there cars, to fix up the after paint swirl marks that they get after one polish in the factory etc used all the megs products available to get my car shiny as,but still doesnt compare to this system my mate has, looking at doing mine next couple weeks when get chance
