  1. I have been to BTT once and Im never going back. They have a downhill dyno (reads way to high) and i was not impressed with prices and the work they carried out on my car... I would go to Matty Spry at P.I.T.S down the coast for a tune, he has been tuning my cars for about 4-5 years and has never given me a reason to go anywhere else..
  2. For sale: Kayzer 18in alloys. Fronts are 18x10J, rear 18x11.5J with offsets of +2 and -17 respectively. In true Jap form they have stretched 235 and 265 boots with enough tread to get around on for a little while... Item Condition: Awesome condition - I just had all the minor marks all polished out and cleaned up, almost like new Price and price conditions: $2300 Extra Info: As above, they've just been polished and restored - all centre caps are there, very tough looking wheel and hard to get in these sizes. They look heavy but are surprisingly lightweight - only 1-2kg heavier than factory R32 GTR rims Pictures: Below Contact Details: PM or phone 0424198033 Location: Brisbane Delivery & Conditions of Delivery: Pick up or we can sort it out Here are some measurements to help see if they fit on your car; 145mm front 185mm rear Those measurements are from the back of the centre of the wheel, where the bolt holes are (the part that sits flush with your hubs) to the outer edge of the wheel. So to see if they stick out you'll have to take a wheel off, measure either of the above distances from your hub to the outer and run a string line...that'll give you an indication of where they'd sit. Also needless to say, they're 5x114.3 stud pattern. Pictures can be seen at: http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=268710 Thanks, Ahmed
  3. once you break into that 200km/h club does your car get inspected to meet andra rules? How strict is calder for that?

  5. Hi all, Im selling my Work two peice 16" rims (front 16x7 and rear 16x8) with Federal super street S35 tyres on the front (205/50/16) and Micky Thompson ET street radials (255/50/16) on the rear. The front tyres have seen 100km-200km of road and the micky thompsons have seen 4 or so track meets with about an average of 2 passes per meet. Now Im not a millionare so i didnt do massive skids on the M/Ts when I was at the track so they have about 85% meat left on them as you can see by the photos of the tyres and rims. You will need howerver 25mm spacers for the front rims to clear the skyline R33 calipers, the rears are fine. Located in Brisbane on the northside. The micky thompson tyres are around 6 months old and have always been stored indoors and sitting on carpet. Asking 1000ono. Please send me a pm or contact me on 0415433286. Thanks, Ahmed
  6. ET: 11.1 MPH: 131 60': 1.60 Tyres: M/T ET streets Nitrous: no Fuel: BP ultimate + octane booster Nissan: S13 silvia as can be seen in the hpi and fullboost radial drag section Cheers, Ahmed
  7. Loved your run Mark - from where i was standing it looked like you have plenty more to go in your 60 foots - there was a fair bit of wheelspin was an awesome pass!
  8. My 255s where spinning as they where on 20-22psi of tyre pressure - my tyre pressure gauge lied and i thought they where on 15psi... The best 60 foot i have gotten out of them was a 1.60 with 16psi tyre pressure and i ran an 11.1@131mph like that - i didnt get an official talking to, but i did quit while i still had my stock box in-tact - damn sr20 gearboxes! You need a few things for 130mph+ but if you dont crack into the 10 they shouldnt really bother you. I guess that will change now due to the recent fatality - so i wont be going back there for a month or two, which works out good cause i need to get a bigger tune put in...
  9. RIP to the driver of the rail car - that totally sucks - i remember with his first pass i was telling my mate he is leaving the chute deployment way to late... The defect station was up at enogerra - where the old bunnings used to be. The dudes werent too bad i got away with a 75 buck fine and one poit as opposed to 150 and 3 points for the pure fact that i wasnt too much of a smartarse with them. They got me for my ext gate, the tyres where the MT ET street radials so they where legal but they where on a 16" rim and i had my 17s on the front cause i was too lazy to put my other 16" on there. I said to them Im trying to do the right thing by taking it to the track and I still get f**ked - but it doesnt matter what u say at that point as your getting a fine either way - just dont be too much of a smartarse and u may get of lightly like i did. Cheers Col for the props, i was testing out my half track to full track mph with a few little changes and it seems to be working, next time i hit the track i will have a fair bit more hp as the car will be tuned properly. I wasnt getting much traction with the 255 50 16 MT ET street radials - i figured out why on the way home though. My tyre pressure gauge lies!!! I thought i had 15psi of tyre pressure - turns out when i went to pump them back up they had 22psi. Im spewing i missed your car - i would have loved to see another import go over 130mph!
  10. I just thought i would meantion that Mark Jacobsons car was out tonight at the test and tune and ran a stout 9.11@153mph on his street radials with a less than perfect launch. Its amazing how many fast GTRs are getting around these days...
  11. Hopefully the driver of the rail car wasnt a fatality - that would be a damn shame! I didnt get to see too many skylines there - i was lookin for you guys but i was configned to the pit area for the rest of the night - red silvia EAT17 plates... Anywho was an interesting night, i ran a best of 12.3@126mph with a 2.0 60 foot - my car wasnt really hooking up with my micky thompson et streets that well - came pretty close to the wall on one occasion. Still the purpose was to increase my half track to full track mph with my cam gear adjustments and i picked up about 5mph top end without it tuned properly- pretty happy about that. On a sidenote i got done on the way home by dept of transport - they setup a roadblock and suffice to say i got reamed as they knew what they were lookin for - although the blokes where really nice so it didnt really bother me.
  12. Ah sweet, I forgot all about mini jam! Would be good to see ya out either way mate.
  13. Nice site Shane, what event are you coming up to QLD for? I wouldnt mind coming out to see ya car.

  15. aaah sweet, you didnt happen to capture it on tape did ya?? lol Im spewing I didnt take out a vid camera! What car where you in? I was doing 100-101mph half track which is suprising, i thought I would have done more as the top end gain seems pretty big considering my shitty power curve... I should be going back to the track on the 25th if all goes according to plan with 30-60rwhp hike in power midrange and hopefully 80-100rwhp of top end power in my power curve with a bit more boost and a play with my cam timing. I dont know if i should spend the bucks and get adjustable rear camber arms in order to drop my 60 footer into the 1.5s...
  16. matty spry at pits... He tuned my SR20 silvia and its running a reliable 11.1@131mph, going back for a bit of an angry tune in search of 10s... I have been going to him ever since i got my car, he has helped me out from day 1 when my car had a simple T28 setup, to my now setup with a full built motor and larger turbo.
  17. awesome info guys thanks alot for that its really appreciated... Im getting a bigger wastegate spring soon so the duty isnt up around the 60s for 1.3bar of boost... the dyno does read low for my car, i dont know why but my car never reads right on it...on 300rwhp the car ran 124mph trap speeds, and now on 365rwhp im running 130mph trap speeds... definately cant wait to fix the boost and power band up and go back to the track and crack a 10!
  18. Thanks for the kind words its the most satisfing feeling knowing I did the whole thing myself and had my good friend Matty Graham build my motor... No.6 in the HPI RWD under 2400cc category so far... www.hpi.com.au./drag_records.php

  20. Hi all, I thought I might just brag a little about my efforts at the track tonight. I rocked up pretty late to the 7-11 session as i woke up at about 8:15 from an afternoon nap. Thankfully I had the car prepaird and ready to go. So I drove down to willowbank, got through the front gates, changed my plugs, and lined up for my first pass... I put a little bit of timing in through my hand controller as my current tune is very safe and I have a bit of headroom to play with... Anyway I dropped the tyre pressure in my M/T ET street radials (255 50 16) to 16psi and i was ready to go... Did a bit of a soft burnout as i didnt want to break anything with the sticky tyres and staged up... I took onboard about 5500rpm and let the clutch out softly and got a bit of wheelspin of the mark and went down the track full steam ahead...My mates where waiting at the time box with thumbs up so i knew it was a good pass - [email protected] with a 1.8 60 foot... I was pretty happy but i knew the car had more in it... On inspection my boost dropped off a bit due to the timing advance so i played with my AVCR to get boost back upto 19psi... I went back and this time put a little bit more extra timing in as well as a pinch of extra fuel and did a bit of a bigger burnout...I staged up and dialed up about 6500-7000rpm on board and let the clutch go fairly nicely, and the car just planted its arse end down and took of like a m0therfarker! As I was crossing the line i noticed that my shiftlight went off as well...i thought i may have gone up a tad in mph... When i went back to the timebox my mates where cheering and told me that i reeled of an [email protected]!!! Whats more impressive I thought was the 1.6 60foot and not breaking anything!!! Well thats my story for tonight, there is PLENTY more left in the current setup, all I have to do now is play with my cam gears add a bit more boost and hopefully I'll crack an easy 10 at around the 135mph mark on 21ish psi and pump fuel! A big thanks goes out to Ben and Rob at East Coast Customs for helping me out today with my suspension setup, without their help there is no way I could have done the 1.6 60 footer at the track! Thanks fellas! Timeslip:
  21. Thanks Mike for the explanation I really appreciate it! I dont think it was losing traction on the dyno, but its a good point, I will put it on another dyno and see if it does the same thing.. On a sidenote I took it to the track tonight as is and reeled off an [email protected] think that dyno reads a little low...
  22. Thanks Mike for your comment, much appreciated. The boost controll issue is going to be taken care off with a bigger wastegate spring as the current one is too small and the avcr duty cycle is pretty much on the limit of where it should be. I dont have any graphs showing torque unfortunately. In regards to "tighter the lobe center the better higher RPM flow & therfore torque will be" What do you mean by tight, i dont understand all this lobe center stuff... :S
