  1. Thanks heaps to all the volunteers of the day, awesome day despite the heat, still amazed that my car survived. Thanks Martin for all the videos, have not watched them yet, cos I'm on a slow connection at the moment, but will have a look when I get home Also, I wanted to ask, Martin, I want to make a montage of my runs of the day using my go-pro footage, and your external footage, how would you like to be credited? First & last name? Forum name? both?? Let me know, Cheers! Will def be at the next one! Hope to see everyone again!

  3. lost count of how many dry decas I have done... just wanted to try a wet one for once, but i will believe you if you say so....
  4. So I just filled out the form, and also my AASA renewal form, do you recommend that I wait for my AASA to come back before i fax the form off to you guys? or can I send it off now and fill in AASA details later?
  5. awesome vids there lots of footage, thats awesome!!
  6. haha so many people reading this thread and not much posting, me thinks that every one is just waiting for the vids, i think there was HEAPS of vid footage this time compared to other times, thats why everyone's hanging out for it.
  7. heaps of fun as usual, thanks to all the organisers LOL @ flying finish, a new thing for some of us, but for the newbies, they didn't know any better, turns out most people thought the mini-wang was also flying finish HA HA! apparently that was the cause of many lockups into the finish gate for the mini-wang.
  8. the maps look complicated.. :S lol, gonna get the second battle wrong, probably gonna miss one of those extra turns
  9. definatly down again, will fax thru forms in next few days.
  10. computer has been down, but yeh... put in new suspension a few days before deca, as well as larger front brakes and front rims, TOTALLY not used to the car, i did so much worse than the last deca... aghh so frustrating, went home thouroughly disappointed and unsatisfied for this reason, need to hit the streets for the next few months (not really!) and need to get used the the car again, handles completely differently when sideways, so much more twitchy......ugh! need to do more adjustment, tried a bit, but having four runs on the skid pan meant that there was little time for adjustment. anyway, backtrack this time however, was WAYYYY better, (except the basketball court bit where you had to the the car sideways) the awesome grip and non existent sidewalll flex of the new rim/tyre combo was awesome on the back track, (a few days before deca i still had the same rims on the front as i did on the back, MASSIVE sidewalls) anyway, have to get used to this new suspension before next time, one down side of this deca was waiting times, previous deca i have been to, there were 3 groups, skid pan was divided in half, and the tracks were a bit smaller, meant almost everything was first gear, and you didnt have to try to slam/crunch/force it back into first on corners following some of the longer bits of the SAU motokhanas when you have a very thoroughly used 1st syncro like i do. also this meant that you could go on more runs, and do more adjusting to the set up of that car if that is what you need to do (as some of us cant really do this on the road) ...and i enjoy tighter tracks...maybe cos of the lighter stature of my car... and upside however was the numbering of the cars which meant that you could go in order, but that fell appart towards the end anyway. i can vouch for this, used sandeep's 'kneak it' and mine doesnt leak anymore either woot
  11. maybe i am wrong, but the reason i thought this was because as you drive past you can see it taking a photo of EVERYONE, even if you're not speeding, saw this because i was at the back of a 15-20 pack of 300ZXs and where there were slightly bigger gaps inbetween the cars, you could see the camera stop taking photos. interesting either way.
  12. yeh, what you said was correct, also lol, reading back over my post it sounded stupid but, yeh i just totally interjected on you question to bart japan lol
  13. faxed and paid woot from bentleigh area, i think i already have two cars in for the cruise up there, if he can actually get work off, but we usually meet at shell servo on the corner of warrigal rd and dandenong road at like 4:30 - 5 and cruise up (this time allows for a stop or two, and means you can take it easy and not worry about point to point cameras along the freeway.) so if you dont find anyone else, or what to tag along let us know.
