I Wonder If Its Good To Install One Computer For My Car
JamesK replied to MrKenny's topic in Queensland
Hey I'm not saying anything, it's all based on personal opinion personally I've never used the AVCR and I was going to get the Power FC add on since they use the same solenoid I'm just going by the dyno sheets from trent at status "A top notch tuner here in Melbourne" and well you have a look http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/El....html&st=20 I'm not saying that I think it's shit its just what the overall verdict seems to be but in no way I'm I banging on it, I guess it comes across that way and I apologize I just feel like there are loads of other EBC's at practically half the price of the AVCR which SEEM to be doing a better job, maybe the if the situation is different or different factors come into play the AVCR or PFC add on will be more suited, sorry if I offended anyone -

I Wonder If Its Good To Install One Computer For My Car

Whacking a powerfc by itself into your car wont do anything and it's actually it's only got a base tune for your car and if you buy it second had which most times you will the power fc will have been tuned for someone else car. I have an almost completely stock car but with a Nismo exhaust my car was tuned to 187.1 rwkw from a powerfc which I was freaking surprised at but in the end a lot comes down the the tuner and what you want. If you want a "speed/power" tune your going to get some economy sacrificed, most people get a power tuned laced with economy just because your not going to need so much power really unless it's a track car and with fuel prices the way they are it makes sense. There are also a lot of other ECU's out i've heard some good things about Emanage but it's all down to user preference, personally I love the hand controller and love the knock sensor on it although if you get it don't bother getting the Power FC Boost controller add on I heard it's shite Everything you wanted to know about Power FC:http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com/docs/...powerfc-faq.htm -
Not sure if your into the sort of thing but driving and camping on Rainbow beach is loads of fun especially with friends just dont drive to near the water lol

I'm willing to do it but I live a bit far, and with petrol prices prob better off finding someone nearer but if you cant find anyone else to do it give me a shout Edit: Maybe take a photo of your drive way? I know it's not the best way but maybe some drivers can tell you what they think

Hamish does have a valid point although something that really stumps me is why isn't an alarm system the first thing you get when you buy your pride an joy? ~$400 protection for your $12,000+ investment sounds pretty reasonable to me -

Anyone else wonder why there is a "STOLEN" thread every fortnight? Admitiably I did it too (Not with the car running luckily) but even luckier it was at Autobarn, had Bob and his whole team at Moorabin out there trying to open my door Just FYI: I got qouted $100 do open my door from a lock smith...I was extremely pissed since my lock-pick was in my car, but if your with RACQ you get if free a few times every year -
Yea man, not sure how much you know but basically your O2 Sensor looks a little bit like this (different socket) Because of the wire you cant just place a regular socket over it and because of the placement it's a pain in the ass to use a regular spanner I Have one of these if you want to borrow it or you can bring your car over and we can just do it here, makes your life sooo much easier
-
I have a specialized O2 Socket if you want to borrow it, it might save you a few bucks
-
I'd come if you weren't so far
-
Yea the obvious reason why they are so cheap and popular here is because japan and australia drive on the same side when I lived in NY an R33 GTST would prob cost about $25g's US unconverted
-
Dezz is right it's the P4/5 it's actually an Enzo underneath I believe the creator of the car is a close friend of the CEO of fiat (or Ferrari which ever) and allowed him to design it as a favor

Oops must have missed it...haha Edit: Next time I'll use the "Search" feature

Found this funny, though I'd share Fast & Furious Skyline stolen from Hollywood garage May 17th 2009 at 1:44PM It took two years to build it in reality, ten seconds of montage to put it together on screen, and about ten minutes to steal it. In a rare automotive example of life imitating art imitating life, the Nissan Skyline that Paul Walker drove in the latest Fast & Furious movie was stolen from its storage facility in Los Angeles. Although dressed up to look like a full-on R34 GT-R for the movie, the car underneath was actually a lower-spec GT-S. Reports indicate that thieves, evidently knowing the car was inside, broke through a metal door and ripped off that specific car, leaving the rest but sideswiping a Studebaker and a Porsche Boxster on the way out. And to make matters worse, the car, valued at around $75,000, wasn't even insured. Considering the movie grossed $72.5 million in opening-weekend box office sales alone, we doubt the seventy-five grand will be terribly missed. Personally I love TomTom however i've moved from TomTom to Sygic to Garmin in my opinion TomTom is the best, Sygic has shitty route calculating algorithms, and Garmin is crap interface, OK algorithms but have the most up-to-date maps (Unless you use TomTom 7) but they havent released that for Symbian...bastards Personally my GPS is on my phone if your tech savvy it's cheap if your not....not so much by far I recomend TomTom but if your a cheap bastard like me somtimes you have to face the alternatives
