Hahaha looks like you and I are in the same boat bro have a look at these: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Da...rm-t292811.html http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ca...ft-t294690.html Best of luck to you!
-
I dont think you should if your turbo charged, as the E10 in Australia so far is only 95 I have seen 98 in the US however so they might be here now
-
ACTUALLY....Not to 1 up you or anything but bus/taxi drivers are allowed to have .02 BAC, and in the US (cause I dont know the laws here but I'm assuming they might be similar) .04 for a personal plane (over your own property) and .019 for all other pilots Reference: http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/roadsafety/alcoh.../bac/index.html I know this is NSW but I'm FAIRLY sure its the same here
-
Hey man just wondering how your cars going, no rush on the ECU or anything just curious if it fixed your problemo
-
Oh was he? SORRY! hahah i've been studying for an exam for the past 72 hours so I'm not exactly in the best of states, I'll make sure to take my car there after the suspension has been fixed, thanks for the input
-
It's not necessary but I wouldn't complain to sit back and have a few cold ones with my bro's, but I understand your point, I just think it's a bit silly to put the limit at 0.00 no?
-
I hope your not using this on a Skyline??? But yea from what I've heard it if your car is post 1980 then it should be fine but I've also heard that it doesn't give you as much mileage like you said so i dont really see the point, cheaper...probably not since it's not as efficient and probably not as good for your engine in the long run IMO plus this is all hearsay soo....
-
How important is your date? Hahahahah
-
Ugh....why are we ALL considered yanks? I'M NOT FROM THE NORTH!....hahhahaha
-
I think thats ridiculous what happens of your eating dinner which has been cooked with alcohol? .02 would be a better alternative IMO, (and not admitting to my asianess or anything...) but especially chinese food (i.e. Drunken Chicken) which is exactly what it sounds, is drenched in wine would definitely raise your BAC. I think this is rather stupid in the US (which I know I'm not in anymore I'm not saying its' better or trying to start something I'm just comparing) the legal limit is .08 (actually .07 but they have a .01 tolerance) although I guess you can consider that the trade off for the drinking age lol
-
Sorry you feel that way, personally it is this community that I am going to miss if I do end up moving to Brisbane. Thanks for your input anyway
-
Man no offense but you should come on here rambling about the "obvious" when you dont know the whole story, most of the people responding to this know whats has happened with my car and are basing their opinion from what they know. EDIT: I appreciate your input and I'm trying to look into everyone's suggestions but please don't one up people out of the blue, especially people like Nisskid, Paul, Femno, and the others who have have a very big reputation and these are people whom I respect
-
Plus Vu said he could help and in my last dealings with him, he's someone I do trust and I've had good experiences with, its just my opinion but I don't think going to him was a "mistake"
-
Thank you for your invaluable advice nisskid I'll definitely have a look into these things when I get my car back
-
Yea I see your point but when your a uni student living on your own and having to pay double the rent when your roommate moves out, your really left with no other alternative but to take the cheaper routes even if you dont want too

Skyline Light Up Tutorial Doing this is at your OWN risk I take no responsibility for any damage or accidents which may occur throughout this tutorial, if you're unsure ASK, if you don't think you can do it DON'T I made this tutorial back in June 09 in the General Maintenance section but I thought it might be more suited to this one, hope you guys like it What You Will Need: S1/1.5 Rear Skyline Garnish (This will NOT work on S2 as they are painted) Dermal Tool (Rotary Tool) Heavy Duty Dermal Cut Off Wheel Dermal Sanding Band* Rocker Switch* : If you want to turn it off and on ~ 14 High Intensity LED's ~$60+ from Jaycar or ~$20 from eBay, Check the light output rating ~6-14 Resistors: Pennies at Jaycar, You can use one resistor per LED or for every 2 (But if one burns out so will the other) Use THIS website to calculate the ohm's required for your array Sheet of Experimenters Board: Try to get one that is long enough for the whole thing so you don't have to go through the hassle of putting them together Some Wires: Try to get different colors for convince sake Can of Paint: Match your color code (Recommend Autobarn Moorabbin, they can mix you up a can specific to your car and it's really useful for touch ups Can of Lacquer*: Technically this isn't a must but it provides a nice shine & seal, also gives your that smooth feeling you have on your car Painters Tape Exacto Knife Alright we first start with your Skyline Garnish after taking it off of your car inspect i and make sure it's all nice and clean, you will notice some faded paint on the letters start by sanding them off to get the best light through Start by cutting the tabs off the back Now cut the entire plastic backing out, enough to expose all the letters; For my next project I'm going to try to cut a small hole instead and slide the entire board in but it's up to you This is what your Garnish should look like when you're finished You can sand down the edges if you really want to but in reality no one is going to see the back it's only for your own satisfaction Place painters tape across the lettering and run your fingers along the outside of the lettering it should tear the tape allowing you to just cover the individual letters After cleaning the Garnish again prep your area for painting (preferably outside) apply several even coats of paint (I did 5 if I recall correctly but it's based on how happy you are with it) allow at least 20 minutes between each coat (maybe less or more depending on the weather) *REMOVE THE PAINTERS TAPE OFF THE LETTERING BEFORE APPLYING LACQUER* I forgot to remove the tape before applying the Lacquer which was a pretty stupid mistake and it ruins the finish, not by a lot but it's a lot of work to fix. After you completed your final coat allow drying for a few hours before applying Lacquer; this will seal the paint and give it a nice Glossy finish Admire your handy work before starting the hard bit Cut down your Experimenters board down to size measuring it up to the hole you cut in the Garnish I know this was an extremely crap soldering job; Solder all your LED's, Resistors and your wiring onto the board Finally hook up the garnish to your car, wiring to a rocker switch if you want to be able to turn it on and off, as a precaution I wired this to my ACC wire so it can only turn on while the key is in

No stock suspension is not that adjustable maybe if I went aftermarket and got some Teins or something i might have been able to compensate for the damage but I just dont have the money, Vu is going to have to pull it out and get them as as straight as possible. Wanzi I wouldn't recommend you driving on them until you get if fixed your going to go through your tire like crazy
-
Thats exactly what Vu did when he first saw my car, how much did it cost you to get fixed?
-
Ok well the story is that I brought the car to ProTek where they said (after looking at the alignment sheet) that he thinks the guy wasn't exactly the most capable but in his defense he said that he thinks the whole suspension has been pushed back and in a bit, his suggestion was to bring it to pedders and get an aftermarket setup that would allow me to adjust and compensate for the damage, or to bring it to a specialist and see what they can do. He recommended me to Kents but of course every time I hear "panel beater" there is only one real name that comes to mind when operating on a budget (Vu) so the car is now with Vu @ DT Panels and hopefully he'll be able to get it fixed with no real dramas and at a good price
-
Hahahah good luck it took me an ENTIRE day to read this thread but you sure do learn a lot of stuff! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Go...html&hl=Oil personally if your not taking the car on track i doubt you really NEED 300V but definitely look into fully synthetic options
-
Some comments the mechanic left after a comprehensive check: Play in L/H Front King Pin Play in L/H rear tie rod end and upper control arm joint L/H ball joint rubber cover split sounds pretty serious..........
-
Ok well I didn't even realize this until now, they aligned my car as an R31 GTS.....would that cause this?
-
Yea man Nathan gave me the alignment print out but I dont know about this stuff, I'll go get it and post it up here to see if anyone know about it
