hey all once again i am faced with another problem and before it goes to the mechanics just thought i would try and get a grip and see what im dealing with The Radiator hose that connects from radiator to the engine to keep it cool has popped off twice within a week now...first time the air con was on and figured this was the reason and was gona get my mechanic to look at it when the next service was due...it pretty much popped off and coolant went everywhere all over the engine bay but i fixed it all up put coolant bak in and it was fine but on xmas day whilst driving down westall rd the car started making funny noise when taking off and i started seeing smoke which turned out to be steam coming from engine bay and quickly pulled over as soon as the temperature gauge started rising... oped it up and same hose popped off but no air con was on so now im abit concerned...people have been saying my thermostat is F***ED which im guessing would be a big job as it looks as if its in the engine block.... anyone had this problem and what was the soloution? ive checked the clamp and it was dead tight so its building up pressure in the hose from somewhere thanks people

5 peice r33 floor mat sets, you mean the original ones with like the nissan genuine parts on the foot rest in the back seat, like real retro looking ones? cuz if it is i just took them out of my r33

hey guys cannot find this covered yet its probarly that bizarre my r33 all the time now whenever it turn it on or when im idoling the car will just start to beep like an alarm is being set, and the hazard lights flick on and off, i kno your going to say go to auto elec which i plan too but short on cash at the moment so i thought maybe someone has seen this problem before, my idea is that it linked to the horn so for started where is the horn fuse as i do not read japanese so i cannot understand the cover, FYI, car used to have an aftermarket alarm on it but it was taken out, the wires were still there but ive just hidden them away and it cant be ground becuase they are tied up with electrical tape.....maybe someone has heard of this problem before? any help would be great cheers boys

yeah i know what you mean, if i had the time and could be bothered i would do it myself personally i just lvoe driving them...if i had to save money id do it myself money isint an issue so why bother...im ot a fan of taking it to the nissan dealerships i use to work for holden in mornington and when i went to nissan to drop parts of sometimes i asked em bout skylines there like yeah we dont know much about them here just the new cars but go to subaru and they know everything about any wrx not jst latest models alot of people love to learn about their cars mechanically ive had 4 cars so far ive had enough lol just pay someone to do it right...doesnt matter anyway looks like ill b going for a drive thanks anyway boys well to the ones that helped

mate i earn enough money so i can pay people to do it for me and do it right and if there is anything wrong mechanically they will tell me..im not a mechanic so i aint going to pretend to be one seen too many people doing there own jobs and f**king their cars up bcuz the guy down at super cheap auto gave them the wrong advice hence why i asked does anyone know where i could take my car around the southern suburbs who knows what he is doing....if there isint any ill make a trip out of it just like DS-ZILR is and thanks bud for the help.....id rather pay someone who is qualified that ask a stupid moron down at super cheap or repco about a car he friken hates and doesnt care what happens to it......so now we can move on from the pathtic bickering and just answer the tiny simple question i asked anyway i will also look in status tuning so thanks to the the people that helped, i am also looking into chasers

my only prob ive had so far is that i got asked for my license during a booze bus cuz they culd see it was a turbo n she looked and goes thank you cya i was like shittin myself cuz ive never been asked for my license first thing was i thought i go caught for drink driving however I WASNT drinking at all lol so then i went right to oh shit tis a turbo and it was ok lol i pray 2 god everynight i dont get hasseled i find if u drive normally u dont have a problem and as long as u havnt been reported into hoon hotline they shuld leave u alone...my sisters bf drives a twin turbo soarer for 1 and half years while being on his p's and he never had an issue and its a friken twin turbo

hi all as ive found out everyone here pretty much knows everythin bout these cars lol but ive had mine for just about 2 weeks and there seems to be sum little problems that are really getting to me and im finding new one nearly everyday i have a feeling most of these are wiring problem but maybe sum of you have come across this stuff ok first one is i have an apexi turbo timer.. and when i turn my car off and the turbo timer starts counting down at about 1.34 the car starts beeping and hazard lights flash assif an alarm has been enabled one thing is i have no friggen alarm. 2nd one is just today when i was going into the car wash the car just started going mental as in when i swithed it off and turbo timer came on the hazards and every light on the dash started flashing and the car was shaking heard of this but onc ei turned the turbo timer off the car didnt do it. 3rd one is when i turn right SOMETIMES my horn goes off for no reason i dont press it but it just beeps for a quick second but only when i am turning sharp right. 4th one is just noticed this tonight, since the turbo timer has been off from this afternoon, my steering wheel has started clunking like if you are for example driving through a maccas drive thru with a few bends and you have to turn the steering wheel pretty sharply it clicks assif its locking but unlocking right away really weird. and lucky last this is prob an general problem my kenwood dvd player when the music is too loud it just turns itself off and then turns itself back on. i keep thinkin i need an exorcist clear the problem of this possed mofo... i will be ringing the ex owner tomorrow because byt the look of it there has been some shit wiring done thank you very much in advance guy i would really appreciate some help/advice on what to do...im guessing getting rid of the turbo timer thanks Jay

hi all i just have a couple of quick silly questions as im still a fresh noob, all questions relate to my R33 GTS-T 1. I have a switch on my console that says Power, A/T, Snow...what exactly does the snow one do, i would imagine it would stop sudden bursts of boost...others have told me it could mean it turns the turbo's off...(would be good if you were next to cops lol) 2. what engine oil would you recommend to put into these babies, i kno thin oil like 5w or 10w but what brand and what ratio? Thanks guys, im new to the turbo side of life always had honda vtec engines, but it is an aftermarketplumb back (drift to be exact) but thanks for info i will be abit more cautious now that i know what the problem in cuz it can get embarrasing lol

hi all, im new here first post so just a quick intro my name is Jay and im from southern suburb of victoria anyway just brought a R33 off a guy of these forums and one problem i have come across which the ex-owner said was normal, when i release the pedal two quick after accelrating the car just stalls and its an auto, he says its a typical problem with skylines it does have a blow off valve plumb back, anyone else encounter this and any way to over come it? thanks in advance people Jay
