  1. Guys you have to remember the translation will only convert existing screens to english (if/when its completed). This will not allow english navi dvds to be installed. I cant see it being a big benefit as most of the screens relate to the navigation anyway.

  2. Might have been me you seen in concord, I lived there up until Feb this year, it's a late 04 with the 05 interior etc. I have the 18inch fact. rims...also have the infiniti badges on it.

Hi Rushdi- Yeah I think the other ones I spotted were 18 inch wheels .The other one I saw was non standard

You werent heading down Bridge rd at Parramatta rd about 6.45 were you. Might be another one !!

    Cheers

  3. Spotted a lakesure blue V35 coupe in pyrmont saturday...thought someone stole my car lol...exact same mags and all, also spotted a white coupe in campbelltown sunday

Wasnt mine..There must be a few of us around now.. I reckon I had the first 05 Lakeshore Blue back in 07. I have only seen two others--one near me round stathfield/concord and another around Hurstville. Does yours have the fact.19inch rims ? cause the others I saw were different.

  4. Welcome John, and Good luck with the new beast.. There is a guy on here by the name of Chris Rogers,..some say he sleeps on bundles of FM tuners and Coaxial cable and lives on a diet of Electrical tape. lol...He is based in Qld but travels all over. he is apparently the man to talk to.

    Hi,

I'm new here, so I hope I'm doing this right

I am in South Australia (Marion) and just bought a 2003, 350Gt Coupe. Silver, Automatic Premium Edition.

I drove it from Sydney after I got an immobiliser installed and have been very impressed with the car all round, although I would like to do something with the TV/Satnav

My other car is a Mitsubishi GTO, which I suppose I'll have to sell now :)

    John

  5. fuzz, toughen-up man. You are the one whos car was stolen. You have every right to be angry that your car was stolen and

NOONE can legally or other wise do anything to you for getting whatever help you can to recover your car or be compensated for it. If they were negligent and there is not more to this story than you are telling us !! You should be the one pushing for court not him. This only speeds the process up for you !!.

You will only be in trouble if you openly slander the Car Washes name and cost him business. Be careful with that, and that alone.

Like I told you before. You should get legal advise and you should be suing him NOT the other way around. This is just a scare-tactic. (that appears to be working).

No one can stop you being a member here or anywhere else for that matter It is in Fact Unlawful-You just have to be careful not to mention names in public forums.

    Good luck either way !!

  6. Sorry to hear fuz.

They will naturally always deny liability (thats what their insurers tell them regardless) Definitely get onto a lawyer because Car Wash will try to rely on disclaimers displayed and try to limit their liability. I'm sure a lawyer will ask whether they have some signs in the car wash or any notes on their receipts. My sister had her car damaged at a car wash recently & it was difficult trying to prove it.

Do you have any pics or details that guys here can look out for it ?

    Good luck man.

  7. Nice one Juan Pablo..Clear lenses always good on the Silver. BLISTC's ride is nice--I 've seen it at the V's get together a few times. Boy she rides low too !

Hey guys, just introducing my new car.

I've posted here on the forum and done quite a bit of research before, so now that I've finally taken some pictures of the V, I thought I'd better introduce myself proper.

I picked up the car in late May. It's a silver 2003 coupe AT. Attached you'll find some pics of the car.

The rear of the car was inspired by BLISTC, when I was doing research on the forum about the car, I saw his signature and just felt in love with the way the rear looks without the badges!!!

I've already has a couple of updates to the car via Chris Rogers. A Garmin GPS has been installed with all Australian maps running from the original screen.

Cruise Control and Radio controls on steering wheel also installed.

HDTV tuner for Australian TV installed.

Changed the orange indicators for the clear ones "Group buy" :)

    To be installed:

Plenum Spacer "Group buy also" :D

Grounding Kit "Group buy also" :D

  8. I agree, If you don't feel the need to change the language as you are comfortable with it keep the coin in your pocket or spend it on another mod.

And yes, the longer it takes the less people will want it.

I just don't understand peoples desire to shit all over other peoples work when they have no better solution.

Agree--No need for people to be nasty about it

  9. I know I'm bumping the thread which will probably start more question on it and I for one want the thread to die (it's been frustrating that it's taken sooo long and I've only been waiting 4 months not 18) but here goes...

What I'm basically thinking is that I've started to grow accustomed to the Japanese and really can't see myself using much of the Car computer stuff whether english or Japanese. And the fact that this guy's arsed around for so long instils no faith in me that if the software hack goes pear shaped you'll get any kind of support. Because he's taken so long I almost don't want to reward him by buying his software. So unless the end product is $5 then basically he can shove it! I mean seriously, he's probably spent 5 times the effort on his stupid (and defeatable) security measures. Realistically he's probably going to be asking $100 for his disks  , tell himhe's dreaming.

Is it just me being a crank pants or do others feel this way?

YEP FULLY UNDERSTAND WHERE YOUR COMING FROM.IS IT REALLY WORTH CONVERTING WHAT PEOPLE KNOW BY NOW ? AND AT A RISK TO THE ORIGINAL SOFTWARE. WHILST COMMENDABLE HAS LITTLE IF ANY VALUE.

  10. Andy,

Like most people am happy to wait. The thing is the programmer has to realize though is that the cars aren't getting any newer and portable navi's are getting cheaper. The jap trip computer options are second nature now. So the reality is that when the software comes out :- rather than people paying $100 for eg they may only pay 50 or buy a Portable / Warrantable /Local navi for just a bit more. The programmer is "shooting himself in the hip-pocket" the longer this goes.

So I guess the question is:- are we weeks away or months away? and what price is he anticipating for the conversion ?

    thanks

    Elie
