  1. Black is what drew my attention to the V. Sexy as sin.Bid on 3 of them. Then the lakeblue came up and I had to have it !! It was way over budget 05 less than 20months old,but is a premium and had 06 fact 19" rims/trim& 14k klms- perfect. Love this colour, the Black, & charcoal. For mine the R series cars colours suited their shape much more than standard colours in the Vs.

  2. Yeah Melbourne :)

The actual work to get it complianced is quick, the 2-3 weeks is waiting for paperwork from the government and for the actual compliance plate

All depends on if complier is busy Or there are non standard item need changing. They had to find a standard exhaust for mine.. Then swap it back after compliance- took 10 days but that was 5 years ago & when not too many 05 around!

  3. Hey Craig very tidy looking car- I hope noone here snaps it up from under you ! Don't know too much about the 250 but Everything I've read about them engines suggests their a reliable, healthy, economical unit. Awesome you got the heated full leather seats many 350s don't even have that. Miles seem fine too-- good luck with your V!

  4. Sounds about right, here's the photos as promised

Anyone know what and how to get rid of those things in my headlights? It can only be seen when the lights are turned on

Lots of gutter rashes on these wheels from previous owner, planning to change them soon.

    Future mods:

    -Series 2 Tail Lights

-Black out chrome trims & grill

-New Wheels (No idea what the current ones are but their 19")

-BC Coils + Stillen Struts + Sways

    -Stillen Z-tube kit

-Transgo shift kit + grounding wires

Those are what I have in mind at the moment, more to come

Nice, good your changing wheels cause for me black on black does not work. You might consider the clear indicator lenses - on black good bang for bucks !

  5. It's apples and bananas to compare. Different horses for diff courses. So glad i didnt buy a Ford ( I would never buy a Holden/ just personal pref and ive had mates that service brand new commodores! ) I've had my 2005 man coupe for almost 5 years and have to say its an absolute gem. 10k services are just oil/ filter the 40 & 80 services are all your fluids.brakes I did at 70 but they prob could do 80+. There are many people who are happy to service them now ( in syd) and they cost same ( or less than most other cars).

My next main service will be 100k - that will be plugs which will cost a few hundred more but that's about it.

They are very smooth ,very reliable cars. I don't know too much in the 06 buy the earlier door locks ( mainly driver) on the earlier models go- ( prob not an issue with the 06! Same engine in the 350gt though.

Petrol wise you will average 8klm/L City or 8.5 to 9 combined city / highway. Open road they will better 10- 12 on average .( keep in mind they have 80l tank and light comes on at about. 65)

  6. It took about 9weeks to get to Aus. ( had a few japanese holidays that delayed shipping a week or two). But my hassle was I had It imported into Brisbane as my agent (Mates Brother) was up there. He used ISASO to comply it who were very good up there. But then I had a few more weeks for customs and compliance, blue slip in tweed heads (for nsw rego )trucking down to syd.

  7. Best of a luck for a speedy and uneventful import! Some compliers can tell you if the odometer has been messed with. Mine had 14000ks on it -was only 20 months old (05)and still had new car smell. Never forget the first time I sat in it- it was surreal after few months of waiting ! I was worried about it not living up to expectation- but in days and weeks that followed it exceeded them ! Good luck

  8. Nah, unfortunately those two screws are just to remove the memory slot component. This can be seen in the picture with the lid off and the PCB showing with a few components sitting on top of it. Basically, the hard drive is on the other side of the green PCB that you can see in the photo, approximately at the level (but slightly lower) than the brown strip in the front shot of the unit. Basically to get at the HDD, you need to remove the CD ROM and to remove the CD-ROM, to me it looks like you just about to remove everything. Gonna take a long time and patience, not to mention a helluva lot of nerve!

May the force be with you :)

  9. Yeah that's an "ETC card reader "-for the Japanese toll system it communicates via the radio. You buy a toll card and it gets charged once you pass the toll point. It sits just next to the NAVI DVD player. Be sure to read up on the CVT transmission here for proper maintenance. Surprised cause I thought the 2006 had a 5 speed Auto with a six speed Auto option. Yours is the 06 right ??looking at the projector headlights and the diff tail lights

  10. Trust me I know the feeling. My mate imported mine into Qld and I had to wait 9 weeks just for it to land. Then after two weeks cpliance ( exhaust off then back on) I had to get him blue slip it tweed heads ( for NSW rego), then arranged to truck it down.

I share your like of handling, but I went through that with my last car so have left it- although I'm certain I have different anti roll bars - big Blue ones . Just the ride height ideally would be better lower but syd roads ya know !

All good with the mods- you have to be happy with it.Is it a manual ? Any other non standard items. Curious as so many have different mods from Japan already on them. I got the Impul chip (warranty card inc lol), Fujitsubu exhaust, fact xenon -reflector, fact 19" rims, so other than changing globes to LEDs haven't modified.

    Enjoy !
