  1. Hi Gibbo, The photos were sent from Project Mu in Japan and are of the unslotted version - a slotted version is also available and the version with slots is what will be supplied in Australia. Though the unslotted versions do not look as high tech as the slotted versions, they are the same casting used in both the slotted and unslotted versions, and they are a very serious advanced design disk - more info on the design is below. The unslotted versions of these disks are run by some teams in Japan, but the Australian market demands the slotted versions as the slots help clear gases under use etc. So the ones supplied to Australian customers are the version with slots. Designwise, the Project Mu replacement disks for the R35 GT-R are Project Mu original castings from Project Mu's 380 mm Big Brake Kit (photo above), with different mounting details to allow them to be attached to the factory R35 GT-R brake hat. So they are an advanced design, curved vane, 48 vane disk. They have an advanced core vane design resulting in very high heat transfer qualities. The slotted version have 8 slots in the rotor surface. The performance of the 380mm disks used in Project Mu's 380 mm Big Brake Kit is very good indeed - as mentioned above the R35 replacement disks use the same Project Mu original disk castings as in the 380 mm big brake kit, with different mounting details to suit the R35 GT-R. You can find more info about the Project Mu Replacement Brake Disks / Rotors for the R35 GT-R here - they are available now ... http://www.tunersgroup.com/Online_Store/r3...rotors_pmu.html - The Tuners Group
  2. ############################ Admins please note: We have been given permission by sewid (forum leader of the R35 section of the forum) to post this thread in the R35 section of the forum, as this thread is clearly newsworthy and will be of great interest to R35 owners. ############################ Hi All, No doubt everyone will be interested to see some photos we've just received in the last few days from Project Mu in Japan, of Project Mu's new replacement brake disk rotors for the R35. It's a very neat setup for use with the factory calipers, with disks the same size as the factory disks. The disks bolt to the car using the factory brake hat and fasteners. They can also be bolted to the car using a custom hat as shown in the photo at the top of this post. - The Tuners Group

  6. Hi Priestley, Which model of Project Mu pads were you quoted $600 for ? Was that price for front and rear pads (ie all 4 corners of the car) or front pads only ? Project Mu makes 3 models of street / sports pads for the R35 - the TYPE NS, B-SPEC and the TYPE HC+. Australian prices for the R35 for Type NS front pads is AU$390. Rear pads for the R35 start at AU$249 for the NS pads. So if you were quoted $600 for NS front and NS rear pads that's about $39 below standard Australian pricing. We have a page on our website explaining the differences between each Project Mu pad compound available for the R35 (street / sports and competition pads, with temperature and Friction Coefficient specs) here ... http://www.tunersgroup.com/Online_Store/r35_pads.html - The Tuners Group

  13. Hi all, We have received an email this week from one of our R35 customers who replaced his seats with racing seats in his R35 and after doing so it triggered the airbag warning light. That customer is outside Australia, so I want to check if anyone with an Australian delivered car has seen that issue too ? We are working with Works Bell in Japan to see if their airbag warning cancellation harness will fix this issue with aftermarket seats in R35's , but I want to check if anyone has seen this issue also occurring in Australian delivered cars with aftermarket seats. - The Tuners Group

  18. I particularly like the way he has designed the front end like a front clip on a DTM German racer - it's a great idea. - The Tuners Group
  19. Yeah I like it too It'll be interesting to see if the rendering influences any of the bodykit manufacturers in Japan. I always like more aggressive styling like that - The Tuners Group
  20. Yes the horn still works. As it says on our website at ... http://www.tunersgroup.com/Online_Store/Rapfix_QRS.html ... The part on the right in the photo above is bolted to your steering wheel, and the red wire is connected to your horn button on your steering wheel. If you have a look at the part on the left of the photo above, at the lower left centre you can see a copper electrical contact. That contact automatically engages with the part attached to the steering wheel, so the horn still works. - The Tuners Group
  21. The rendering is an artist's idea of what a Top Secret R35 might look like. It's not meant to be a rendering of an actual car - it's a concept rendering. I thought it was pretty interesting. - The Tuners Group
