well yeah i leave the keys in it, because its parked right beside the workshop and of course im used to hearing it still running, the turbo timer takes care of that i got a heap of heavy duty bubble wrap before, doubled it up and taped it to the inside of the passenger side tyres so that she wouldnt see it walking out to her car. Sounds like a machine gun firing when they reverse onto it. I wasnt around to see it when she left for lunch, but im waiting for something when i get back haha.

funny you should say that, got a good friend thats a coppa and she was recently issued with a taser. and i know where she keeps her cap spray. haha, everything im thinking of right now leads to a certain assault charge though she drives a toyota kluger, the office girl helped her too, she has a red civic. to make things worse i rock up at work this morning, first job is the alternator on a hiace van.. was spewing enough because you have to drop the engine mount out and everything to get at it. Hear a voice from outside say 'is ur car still running?' at 10am so used to hearing it still idle as i walk away.. i hadnt actually turned the key off. 2 hours it was sitting out there running. They all heard it, nobody told me. there will be blood..

I was thinking something more along the lines of.. me keeping my job the next day

So i played a small practical joke on the bosses wife a couple of weeks back. She didn't react well to say the least. Anyway i walked out after work one day last week and saw something on the post in front of where my stag is always parked.. Anyway, on top of that today just after lunch i get a phone call from a number i didnt recognize. answer it.. heres roughly how it went him: 'yeah mate im just calling about the volvo you've got for sale' me: *extremely long pause* 'uhh, sorry what?' - not sure weather to laugh and ask who the hell this is, though he sounded genuine. him: 'the white wagon you've got there for sale, is it still for sale?' me: *even longer pause, wondering if this is for real* 'uhh.. the umm, the what?' him: 'maybe ive got the wrong number' me: 'yeah mate sorry i think you do' now i cop a lot of shit in the workshop about the whole 'volvo' thing, they know it winds me up. and i hung up the phone wondering what the chances are of someone actually having a white volvo wagon for sale and having a number similar enough to mine for him to get it wrong and wind up calling me. Pretty slim i'd decided. So i was walking around the workshop saying 'ive got my f*cking eye on you' to everyone else.. thinking maybe theyve put an add up on a board at a local shopping center or something. anyway realised just then as i pulled into my drive way after having driven around town that there was a big sign on the back window saying Volvo for sale, $2000 with my number under it. Not happy. im now plotting something big to get her back.. i just dunno what yet.

Hey everyone i had a quick hunt around but couldnt find a thread that i thought i did once read on here. changing the timing belt next weekend on the 99 rs4, and just wondering if there was a d.i.y type thread around My old boys a mechanic, and im an auto elec so its not that we're going at it blind, just wondering if there's anything we need to know.. cheers

Any chance on getting a photo of the way the globe mounts into the headlight? I am replacing the dodgy regular globe adapter that was put in during compliance with the original ballasts and hid globes.. but i think theres a part missing. You say there's clips that hold the globe in? I think im going to have to manufacture something up myself..

Doesnt really help trying to see out the back glass thats for sure. Theres a reason i havnt shown the rear left quarter. Because it hasnt been re sprayed yet from when i reveresed into my ss at night Heading out somewhere this arvo and my mate is gunna try and do a hdr pic of the stag for me. So ill post that up if it works

Hey guys had a bit of a search, couldnt see if this had been covered What are the major points in a 100 000km service? aside from the usual oil/filters/belts/hoses etc cheers

get a 'da bone' one they rock.

Grab a test light or multimetre, see if you've got constant battery on it, or ignition/acc power, brake/tail/indicator power etc. And rear windscreen wiper if you have it. What else electrical can be in the rear of a stag? The automatic tailgate closing motor, if yours is fitted with that also I guess. Can't think of anything else. Run through it all. Usually all you'd be splicing into the rear harnesses for is trailer plug, tail light mods etc. Anything else you'd just splice into the harness toward the front of the car. Id say someones picked up a power down there for something previously in the back. But if it's not in use, just open the scotch lock up and rip it out, tightly wrap a layer of electrical tape around where the scotch lock was contacting the copper so it doesn't corrode. Let me know what u find =]

My drivers side light has gone yellowy, i think its the actual plastic just being aged. Anyone else had this? Was gunna just price up a new headlight from a wreckers or something

So right after i write that 'spotless condition' i walk downstairs, get in my stag to reverse out. the old girl had parked my ss behind it. Which never happens.. the tint of course being nice and solid black in the stag.. needless to say theres some nice blue paint up the side of it now. I just went f**king mental. Panel beaters tomorrow.

White 99 rs4, spotless condition, lowered a bit on work gold vsxx's. Will have frontmount fitted soon, but stealth style. Willing to do a roadtrip down from brissy, would be a good excuse to take a week off and go for a nice holiday finally. Mostly just wanna dress it up in ribbons though with a bit of notice id be glad to come down.

The fark?! I want leather seats, a momo wheel and a reverse camera. Damnit.

Does anybody know of anyone who makes a panel to fit into a slot in the radio section of the dash to accommodate gauges? Like the ones in autechs. I want something to fit a few small autometre gauges in there. Was going to make up something nice out of some polished aluminium but if something already exists that would suit my current motivation level a whole lot better

Yeah havnt even checked the fog lights yet aye ill get around to it being an auto sparky i do this kinda thing all week at work.. and when it comes to my owns cars i kinda lack motivation. And on top of all the mates wanting jobs done on weekends lol. 2 mechanics and an auto sparky in the family, and all our cars sit around with mechanical and electrical faults Few other things im yet to work out.. like the button on the left side of the wheel, shows both diffs, the 4 wheels and in the middle an 's'. I thought it was snow mode maybe, but there's a snow mode button in front of my centre console behind the gearstick. It's not shown in the manual.
