What R33 Gtr Front Bar Is This?!
Nur33 replied to OoskylineoO's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
The only R33's I've seen with those were the ones sold locally in the UK. -

Hi guys Has anyone ever bought the Adel Wiggins Intercooler Clamps before, i bought a 3" and a 4" off Rocket Ind, and charged me $600 for the two. Anyway they rocked up at home and guess what? It only came with the clamps and not the weld-on adapters like i asked for, rang them back up today and they said they wanted another $500 for the adapters, FFAARRKK. So i told them to bash it up there arse i'm not paying $1100 for 2 F*#king clamps (excuse the language). So probably gonna try out the Gas Motorsport Clamps. Cheers Benny

Hi guys Another update for ya's, as of today the intercooler piping is being welded up, the rear cradle has been modified and is being put back together in the car and the big PWR Radiator we bought did not fit in the factory location cause of the dry sump pulley so we cut the lower cross member out and is not mounted under to top cross member. In case you are curious as to why we modified the cradle, here's why: -The lower control arm angle on the R32's is something like 13 degree's higher at the front, which can bind up the suspension under hard launches causing tramping, which can also cause the driveshafts to be on harsh angles, then snap the CV's. So we cut the front mount off and re-welded in the same position on the R33's. -The R33's and R34's had this modification done from factory, if you look under your car the rear lower control arm is fairly flat. (Well it is on my R33) Heres so updated pics: Cheers Benny

Nah mate we are still ages away from being complete, might be going at the end of the year maybe!!! If we had a money tree we would be good lol!! slow and steady wins the race. Cheers Benny

Cheers John Its a very nice piece of craftsmanship, PWR did a awesome job top quality. To answer some other peoples questions: Yes there are no cutting corners here, yes its primarily setup up for drag racing, but this car will be a multi-purpose GTR, kinda gonna do what Signal Auto did with there R34, get a 8sec pass, then its only a matter of changing turbo, suspension and brakes and can quite easily change it to a time-attack car. For the first few months it will be more a show car (we are trying to compare our car to the Garage Saurus Carbon R32 if thats possible!!!) then compete in some dyno comps, powercruises etc. Until we learn to drive it hahaha. As for the Dry Sump Bracket, Mark at Godzilla Motorsport Fabricated Ours. Progress of the car at the moment is we got a tiny delay, gotta modify the rear cradle lower arm mounts to allow better squat under hard launches, but we are slowly chipping away at it. Stay Tuned more updates/pics coming soon. Cheers Benny.

Ah k nice should catch up one day, as for track days (maybe) if it gets a new paint job, then most probably not hahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Hi Guys Todays progress was, we custom mounted the R33 GTR Power Steering pump on the left hand side of the engine, directly under the alternator. This frees up space near the dry sump pump and the turbo, looks awesome pics coming soon. Cheers Benny

Hi Guys Its been awhile since i updated this, many plans have changed since last time and i am sporting some new mods. It has pretty much been a dust collector for the last 6 months, as we have been busy with the R32 Drag Car. Once the R32 is finally off the hoist i can start doin some more major mods on the R33. If anyone is a HPI Reader you might have noticed it was in Aprils Issue 120, its a same it looks way better now. New Mods that have been done: -Brand New Genuine Series 3 Xenon Lights (Sexy) -Autoselect Chibi Devil Front Lip (To match the canards) -Eastbear Clear Front Indicators. Plans have changed quite a bit, the car is no longer being turned into a track car, as we sold the R34 GTT to fund the drag car, so we dont have a street car anymore. So plan is to make it as nice streeter, as its stupid owning to race cars and not been able to use them all the time. Mods to come: -Full Superior Auto Creative Leather/Carbon Interior -Window Tint -A/C put back in. -New Paint Job -New Carbon Bonnet -And some minor engine work. Updated pics will be up soon. Cheers Benny -
Hi Guys Will be putting pics up later today sometime, yes i know the budget is a bit crazy, but we are doin it once and doin it probably and want to own one of the wildest R32 in Australia. Some people dont realise that Stainless steel braided lines are so expensive, Dash 12 and 16 fittings are killer, when the car is finished it will have about 4k worth of braid on it. Every single hose you can think of is goin to be braided. Cheers Benny P.S if you want to check out our First Project Car R33 GTR it was in Aprils Issue 120 of HPI magazine.

Cheers Kingy...ok the updates are: -Was gonna put photos up today but forgot my camera USB Cable (sorry). -$2500 worth of SS Braided line and fittings rocked up this week. (Thanks VPW) -Rear Cradle is in with new beefed up urethane bushes and solid spacers are in, along with new Kaaz 2 way Diff, Billet Driveshafts. -All New Rear Cusco Suspension arms and Tein Super Streets are in. -Boot fuel system nearly complete (looks shit hot). -Engine is in for now, plumbing up dry sump and pre-lube pump set up, catch can, turbo etc. -PWR Cross-flow Radiator and Breather tank set-up with termo fans should be here soon (Thanks to John at Unique Auto) Everything is coming together pretty quick, looks quite good for a back yard job, long ways to go yet, not goin to make it to this year jamboree (as of brother's tafe bullshit) but dont think the car will ready anyways. Thats all for now folks, stayed tuned, more pics coming soon, peace out and be good to your mothers!!! Cheers Benny

The T62 where around $8000 when they first hit the market, we ended up getting ours through CJ motors for $6200... But they are slightly cheaper now,
-
Yeah you would be correct, that is Marks old intercooler, it flows 5 degrees cooler than the trust drag cooler and has made up to 1400hp with so its well and truly up to the task.
-
-Turbo is a HKS T62R -Yes Jun do make a Custom 295 Cam, they cost a fair bit. -The Retainers are Tomei as the springs are Tomei Type C -The dash is a standard dash with carbon overlay.
