  1. do all of you english teachers in Japan have uni degrees?
  2. I am after hopefully a full set of 6 coil packs for an RB20DET engine....I am after the series 2 (??) coils with the spring rather than the carbon connector. Price is paramont.....so maybe can only buy a couple or whatever....depends on the price.....and obviously in GOOD/properly working condition. Cheers, Corey.
  3. Hey to all those peoples living in Japan, I know all these questions and this topic has come up many times from people (myself included), but I lost all my PM's I had from people like Rezz and others who had answered my questions I had many many months ago.....but I need some new info and replace the info I lost.....so here goes.... I am considering teaching english in Asia as a good substitute if I do not get into University to study language next year...I will goto China because that is my first passion and its a good way to learn Mandarin which is what I want to do, aswell as learn first hand about the culture, etc etc etc I will also possibly goto Japan and teach english at some stage in the future (if I do the english thing that is) and was curious on a few things.... 1) I have seen that most places who deal with teaching english in Japan require the applicant/teacher to hold a University degree in anything....do all of you guys have a Uni. degree? Because I obviously dont, and was wondering if everything there does....? 2) I have just read in the Japan section that a guy just moved to Japan and is living with a host family......can new english teachers going to Japan do this? or do the schools or wherever you get employed provide accommodation? 3) Do all of you english teachers hold TESOL certifications or similar? I dont know much about Nova and all the other places.....does everyone have to have a TESOL? (I will definately be doing a TESOL cert. before I leave Oz, but curious none the less as I dont hold a uni degree...) 4) Do you have to be super-outgoing to be an english teacher? My apologies for all the writing, but hard to condense to a few sentences.... Thanks to all who answer! and please feel free to add your own hints or whatever.... Cheers! Corey. EDIT: I know there are links to english schools and etc, but I am after actual peoples experiences with the whole thing...:-)
  4. thanks scooby... I will do that :-) I knew there would be a pretty simple answer... but I couldn't think of it! cheers, corey.
  5. My problem started likes this......at first it was 2 coil packs.....replaced them and no worries.....but at the start of the year a similar problem came back.....took it to a place in cheltenham (VIC) and they "apprently" fixed it....ok for a month then started happening again...went to NZ for several months, just came back and decided to find the problem myself! 4 injector plugs fatigued and corroded like you wouldnt believe.....replacing them now......see what happens.... But definately check your coil packs! and NOT JUST the resistance.... i did that, but I also checked the little carbon thing inside the coil boot....2 were rat sh&t......dont know if R33's are carbon connectors or those little springs....but anyway, that fixed my problem and maybe similar fix for your problems....
  6. Hey all, I am about to put the fuel rail and injectors back on/in to my RB20DET after replacing the injector plugs.....now I emptied the fuel rail so I wouldn't get petrol everywhere (obviously ) when doing the rewiring and etc....but realised when I put it all back in the head...there is going to be a big air bubble.....what should I do about it? is it ok to leave and let it "drain" into the chamber and out the exhaust? or do I need to bleed/prime the fuel and fill up the fuel rail? Thank for your help guys, much appreciated! Corey.
  7. no worries...I'll steer clear of the WD40.....might get myself some contact cleaner for the injectors then......expensive but..... thanks for all your help Ed, much appreciated! :-) PS: I'll let you know if anything else pops up.. (Which it probabaly will!)
  8. Awesome.....I didn't even think to just cut it away! However....I may have to have a quick look-see and see if the clips on the VL plugs will be enough to secure the plugs to the injectors.....but sounds promising! Thanks heaps Ed... Would WD40 be ok to use for now? or will it do more bad than good? Cheers
  9. once again, thanks heaps guys.... I actually just disconnected the fuel pump via the plug in the boot....easy.:-) only took several seconds as she died...:-) but now after fart arse-ing around taking all the shite out of the way to get to the injectors.....I cannot find our allan key set AND the VL replacement plugs I brought do not match!!! the ones on the car now are "JECS" plugs with the slot off-centre to fit on the injecotrs, whereas the VL plugs the slot is centred....would you believe it!? I will.......attempt......to clean the ones on there....but I'd say they are pretty farked.....start from scratch and try to find some plugs OFF an RB20DET engine.... same old same old :-) PS: Is WD40 pretty much the same as that contact cleaner stuff people use on these sorts of things?
  10. does the supra in the fast and the furious have a HKS SSQV? that car sounds awesome comming out of the garage.....its BOV I mean......Anyone know what that BOV is??? I thought it maybe was one of those HKS SSQV's.......
  11. Hey Ed, Do you know which fuse is the fuel pump? I for some reason cannot read Japanese...:-(
  12. LOL... Thanks heaps guys......I shouldn't have any difficulties with all the info I have now! :-) I will actually get to start doing it today.....finally! things allways come up, and generally take 3 times aslong to do them...:-( Cheers, Corey. :-)
  13. cool, thanks alot guys!.....made things much easier! I will probabaly just take the throttle body off and do it that way seeing as you guys have done it with not much trouble. Do I need to know anything special when removing the throttle body? Cheers, Corey.
  14. Hey all, I am changing my injector plugs as some are very fatigued...I am going to change the whole lot to be safe, but I will need to take the intake manifold (top) off to get to the back 3 injectors......is there anything I need to be aware of when doing this? I have never done this particular job before and never seen it either.....so just want to make sure I can put it all back together when its done.... Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, Corey. PS: My engine is an RB20DET in a R32 GTS4.
  15. forgot.....do you (or anyone) know if the news plugs come with the rubber boots like the originals? Cheers
  16. Thanks man, I didnt know they would be so easy to find...but the only problem being I live way out in the country and I dont ever remember seeing a fuel injection place anywhere around here... Do you know if its easy to put new plugs on the wires? I have never done it and dont know if its possible to do with minimal tools...? Cheers again
  17. Hey ppl, As the title/subject states, I am after an RB20DET injector wiring loom or just the injector plugs BUT with at least an inch or two wire comming out of the plugs...I need to replace all my plugs on my RB20DET so I need the full 6.....but even if you have a couple that would help..... Cheers all, Corey.
  18. Hey mate, Thanks for the info, but I actually found a pair of R32 rear pods on eBay! of all places! And I am now just waiting on the skirts from UAS. So things are looking peachy :-) Thanks again! I'm sure someone will read this who is after pods :-) Cheers, Corey.
