OK, got my new Alpine MP3 head unit in. The left hand front speaker is D.E.A.D. No probs thinks I, time for an upgrade anyway. Not too over the top [i don't go doofing, to old for that now], but a good 40-50 watt with 150 max and a bass/tweeter combo. I ended up with just such a speaker only to find that although the hole pattern is the same, a round speaker [the new one was round] 'don't fit no squawre hole baarr'. Bolted the dead speaker and the new one face to face and got the angle grinder out, now its the right shape, but I'm not happy. My question is, anybody know of a good speaker that fits the skyline mounts without using an angle grinder etc. Danny.

same as an engineers report, they just inspect and sign off on mods, someone else may be able to give a better answer here.

Ok, engineering certs must not be the same as compliance certs. compliance certs are australia wide. so is converting to lpg, and i think cab extensions (single to twin cab on 4wd's). so why not other certs. Danny

Steve, Go for a holiday, the engineers reports are good for Australia wide aren't they??? Get it done in WA/QLD and then move back to SA. All done in a couple of weeks.
